This is my favorite Husker podcast. You guys don’t get caught up in the “fire” everyone doom and gloom that other podcasts and even our own media falls into. Hopefully we get a win or two so we can go clubbing. Hasta later!
This senior class has no excuses. Rhule made a change to improve for this program and the future with Raola.
And , yes there have been open receivers at times...but they've been missed by bad throws/bad reads OR there's too much pressure for a frosh to decipher (or both). Two games have been lost that way. That's HUGE.
When you fire your OC in season after preaching that “this team is a good team” all year, the truth is that you had the wrong coach in year one. Wrong coaches make the right players, play like the wrong players!
Top down 100%….
It doesn't give me a whole lot of hope that it took the entire second year for him to figure out that Satterfield was not the guy. And then you got to consider he doubled back to Dana. I'm glad he made the decision I'm just not sure about the timing of it. Deion currently appears to be the better coach in two different first year coaches with one of them being the first year as a head coach ever came to our home stadium and beat us. It would have been one thing to have gotten beat by Indiana and UCLA on the road but they came to our home and showed us who our team is.
Deion doesn't coach. Get real.@@dashcamcalifornia5003
@@dashcamcalifornia5003 it didn't take the entire 2nd year. When would you have brought Holgerson in? A bye week seems pretty logical to me.
@@dashcamcalifornia5003 from what I heard Satt wasn't the first OC on his list from the start... I think he wasn't able to get *his guy* at OC before this season started either, and then didn't want to make a change mid season until his hand was kind of forced by the poor performance and publicity issues Satt was having.
This pod mimics so many husker fans, slowly slipping into insanity while curious how this change will work.
OMG- the swing pass bit is classic.
Nebraska will win Saturday. GBR
I had to laugh on this one! GBR
My boys 👌
We'll find out if Holgerson's new offense gets "lost in translation " this weekend!
Husker fan but the real problem is us desperate unrealistic fans. It will take 6 years minimum to turn This program around. Then mix in (shhhhh) boosters. We will be a paycheck destination for coaches.. every coach we had was great before they got here and most continued once they left. Same with players who leave as well. Only the impossible will get us over the top,and that’s leave the program alone for 6 years and not looking over his back in two. Remember ,Michigan bit the bullet with Jim Harbauh and boom.
I would bet money that NU beats USC this weekend.
You will lose money then.
So place a bet it's legal now
I’m with you, this team shows up after being embarrassed.
We don’t have this bye week.
This doesn’t happen.
If they waited I feel Dana gets hired by another school. GBR!!!
Juuuust a bit mucho, there fellas... It was spot on at first, though 😂
Holla at ya boy its Larry from Lexington
Love Nick, but that was an unfair comment about Solich.
Agree. Solich’s lack of ability as a head coach and poor recruiting efforts had nothing to do with his coordinator’s
is it just me or Bo Ruud looks like Rob Lowe.
Run the numbers. The power I gets 4-5 yds/att and the screen woosie pass gets 0 (zero).
I dont get the Air Raid hate. Why not the Air Raid? Holgersen did better on offense with less stars the Nebraska currently has. Why not the Air Raid? Because of the weather? Air Raid was born in Iowa. Lol.
Probably because we need to be good at blocking
@@AverageMCP you generally have to be pretty good at blocking to execute anything though. At least now, in theory, we shouldn't need to execute 10-12 times in a row to score points. Need some chunk plays.
The offense has been a dud since week 3 Colorado 2nd half. 28 points in first half, I had high hopes. 2nd half was a dud no score. Didn’t look good. Why did it take this long.
It’s weird that last season the naysayers were critical of Coach Prime making changes to his staff during the season. Evidently Prime knew what he was doing! There were Nebraska fans critical of Coach Prime. Now you guys don’t mind Rhule making changes to his staff during the season lol! Why don’t you guys keep the same energy and ride the season out with the current coaching staff and criticize Rhule for causing a sh*t show by bringing in new coaches to undermine the current coaches.
Someone is getting cocky after beating nobody
@ who Nebraska beat?!?!? Why is it okay to change coaching staff during the season? I like Nebraska and want them to do well, but hypocrisy is crazy!
If this team is able to turn it around with a bye week to beat USC all because we switched up the offensive coordinator it makes me way more concerned about whether or not we have the right head coach. Sure he made the decision to hire Dana but I feel like it is a bit too late and it's coupled with a bunch of other bad decisions like hiring Shitonfield and bringing in Sims as a gun for hire quarterback. Year 3 is not looking that great if you ask me. We will be lucky to get 6 to 7 wins from this LIFETIME CAREER .500 COACH. Rhule doesn't know how to win. He gets success for one year and leaves. He has never built lasting success.
Matt Rhule... Blah, blah, blah... Good talker, crappy coach!
