thanks a lot, this helped me figure out on how to export my glare effect.But i cant seem to find a workaround on how to merge the 2 pictures into a single .png with the glow effect. since i wanted to render it in after effect as a Quicktime Animation. the ''add'' factor makes the background go black and when i exported it as a .mov its still showing since i dont have any background behind it. :(

But what should I do if I have Blender installed through the Microsoft store?

I have another solution that worked for me. I have a fresh install of Blender 4.3. it took 36 seconds to open on very very fast hardware. No plugins installed. I tried everything listed here to no avail. I read somewhere that certain shortcuts on Windows Quick Access in File Explorer could be the problem. I had an old shortcut to a disconnected network drive folder. When I clicked on it, it would take about 36 seconds for Windows to scan and give me an error message...about the same time it took for Blender to open.. When I deleted it and launched Blender, it opened instantly. So, go through your pinned and unpinned Quick Access shortcuts and see if any are dead...and delete them. It's obvious that Blender scans all drives and Quick Access shortcuts before it launches, anything that is disconnected or pointing to nowhere has an impact on launch times.

Here's the issue with AV1 encoding. It's so efficient with compression, but higher compression rates means that packing it up and unpacking it is gonna be slower and more impacting to your performance. And that is literally the reason why hardware AV1 encoders capable of encoding live are only available on the latest bleeding edge GPUs (like NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40xx series). Cuz older GPUs are not powerful enough to encode your livestream 60fps with AV1. You can encode your RUclips video with it, but if the video is an hour long, it will take at east 90 minutes to finish encoding, depending on your options. If you encode with your CPU, your encoding time more than triples the video length. Efficient compression means longer and more complicated encoding process. Easy as that.

Dude... making people pay for a free function in a free software is just lame. It's not about the price, really the moral principale... so cringe.

Mixed feelings, see below - Sad that Blender removed an amazing one-click feature - over the moon that Mr.Bridges added it back with a rockin' Add-on - miffed that I have to pay $2.99 for it - humbled that I get what it is to monetize your own hard work to put food on the table (and I don't have development skills to do it myself for free, so there's that). All in all, Michael - thank you for your video and sharing with us your hard work to make it easy to accomplish again!

I keep getting copies of assets when ever I start a new project. I have opened up ALL of the MANY copies into their original .blend files but often there are no marked assets to clear! Can you tell me how to fis this problem. Thank you .
