Buying an RTX 5090 in the UK is like trying to grab sold-out concert tickets-practically impossible. I had everything ready: my phone, my browser, my nerves of steel. But when launch time hit, there was just… nothing. No stock updates, no movement, just radio silence. Then, four minutes in, the site crashed. Chrome was useless, Edge was eating my CPU alive, and Firefox wasn’t any better. At this point, frustration was setting in, and after 45 minutes of relentless refreshing, I admitted defeat.
I turned off the recording, told my wife and best mate that it wasn’t happening, and prepared to move on. And that’s when it appeared-literally seconds later. A checkout button! I scrambled to complete my purchase, but the payment was declined. Twice. Then, in a last-ditch effort, I spotted another checkout option on Nvidia’s site. I clicked. I waited. And somehow, against all odds, I secured one.
