Angel Reese had a great year in terms of rebounding the ball. I think it's ridiculous with all of the stat padding trolling garbage. Missing her shots for the purpose of getting a rebound? Sounds pretty stupid. So she's toying with everyone else trying to get a rebound? " I'm so much better than anyone else that i can miss for the purpose of getting a statistical rebound." Yeah right. In reality, it means she needs to work on her extremely flawed shot. I think it's equally ridiculous to even mention Angel Reese's name in the same sentence with the word MVP, let alone get a vote. If anyone tries to justify her record rebounding year as something that is MVP worthy, I'd say they are trolling as well. I agree with the host. There are too many players that had better overall seasons. Angel Reese had a typical rookie season overall. Exceptional rebounder but need a lot of work on her flaws. This vote practically guaranteed that rookie of the year will not be unanimous. And it is a strange vote. Angel missed 6 games. That's not an insignificant amount. Also, her team had an embarrassing end to the season. They only won 3 games after the olympic break. If you were filling out an MVP ballot and were required to list every player in the league. I am not sure Angel should be top 20.

Context matters( level of difficulty matters)...what CC meant to the WNBA this year and her "statistics" under a crazy high level of difficulty matter. No coach, no defense, no bench, double and triple teamed on a losing team....the level of difficulty matters. Aja is a boring physical specimen on a crazy stacked team(4 MVP players) What the hell do you think CC would do on that team? 30 - 40 points 12 - 15 assists average and 3-5 rebounds with less mins and less effort. Aja is better and looks almost great because of how BAD the WNBA is....and because of her whistle. Do not invest in the WNBA!

The black women of WNBA, seemingly want the women to have and win all the accolades for the league. My question is; why couldn’t any of them attract new fans or viewership? Why didn’t any of them contribute to increase revenue and TV ratings, or be the reason for sold out arena’s? None of this was happening, while A’ja Wilson was winning MVP, for consecutive years now! None of the previous players like Skylar Diggins-Smith, Kelsey Plum, or Diana Taurasi or Sue Bird, had enough star power to attract new fans. But, they refuse to give Caitlin Clark, her flowers, but instead would rather give them to Angel Reese, who quit on her own team, with an elaborate wrist injury. Caitlin Clark, should’ve been number two (2) in the MVP vote, especially by what she’s done for the WNBA. In all fairness, Angel Reese, shouldn’t even been considered. Her “double-double” didn’t help the Chicago Sky win games and they didn’t make the playoffs. So, how do they justify giving her one (1) vote for Most Valuable Player?

That person who voted for Reese is probably anti-Clark, black writer associated with Sky in one form or another. Reese is not an elite BB player at all, despite the double double streak. She is fast and tall enough to get rebounds, but that is pretty much it. She does not belong in the Olympics, if she stays playing this way. Never seen anything so ridiculous in my life.

These are things myself and others recognized early in the year when some people kinda pushed back on. This is definitely something they need to get cleaned up. I’m excited for the league and hope they get it figured out.
