Hoping for the best but regardless the season was a success. Gotta make some key personnel moves in the off-season and maybe look at available coaches but this team should be in the playoffs yearly going forward
Maybe this is oversimplifying it, but it looks like if Caitlin, Mitchell had gotten their average shooting percentage they would have won. They said they got the loos and that means they had beaten the Suns defense. They got open, but just had a night of bad shooting percentages. So, I see it as 50/50. I hope they get the win 🎉
Tonight's critical game requires the resurgence of Iowa Caitlin. She's been stifled lately, but it's crucial for her to step up as the main offensive force. Implementing Iverson screens and other strategies should be used to create scoring opportunities for her. The offense should be designed so that even after she distributes the ball, it finds its way back to her. Wheeler should take over as the primary ball handler, allowing Caitlin and Mitchell to focus on attacking and striking. A three-guard offense with AB and Dantas in the low block could be the key to victory.
CC has essentially been in the playoffs for a year. Each game senior year was a sold out huge game and she brought it every night. Her mental toughness can only be compared to Tiger or Michael!
The Fever were 1-0 down in round 1 (home) of their Championship winning season of 2012 against the Atlanta Dream 75-66. The Fever were then 1-0 down in round 2 (away) against the Connecticut Scum 76-64. The Fever then won (home) 78-76 and (away) 87-71. A good omen?
The question is not whether or not this big game is too big for Clark, it’s really whether the moment is too big for the coach and the other players. Will they be the post Olympic Fever or the first 8 games of the Season Fever. Excited for tomorrows game 🤞🏾
Clark has to step up. If her 3 pointer isn't falling she has to then draw fouls by driving. 13 out of 17 shots she took were 3s. She hit 2 of the 4 2-point shots she took. Mitchell scored 21 and Dantis played well. Of the big 3, Clark had the worse game as AB had 17. Defensively, the whole team had issues.
I don’t want the Fever to lose this upcoming game, no no. But … I am curious about what would be the crowd sizes in attendance at the various games if Caitlin and the Fever weren’t there.
I wonder what will eventually happen when Caitlyn misses a game or 2 or 5 did when injury or something, will the ticket holders request refunds? I hope that wouldn't be the case, Indiana deserves to have all the fans present, but I guess we'll see when that eventually happens
For Mr Lundberg -- I have watched your channel occasionally. This time it was CC phenomenon, which caught my attention. My general impression of her: her play-style is kind of too straight-forward,. Other words I can find are - effective, but too simple (it is not just her ball-handling and defensive game and rookie-status). That is gonna be an obstacle to build a championship team around her. Iowa-formula does not work in WNBA either.
There is now video of Mabrey re-enacting the eye poke during the game...will CC stop with this fake media facade. She needs to stand up for herself because no one else will. She sent an elbow to Carington but needs to stop with this fake persona she puts infront of the media.
I'd prefer the regular to be extended so that they play each team 4 times rather than the lottery of playing some teams only 3 times. (This year the Fever played Aces and Storm 4 times from the Western and the other Western teams 3 times.) That would be 44 games instead of 40 games. It is bizarre to me that the final league position has an element of "luck" right from the off on whether you play weak teams 4 times or strong teams 4 times.
@@logicalbrother its a missed marketing opportunity. They should want each round to go the distance but instead they make it as easy as possible for the highest seeds. Can't get any dumber on a commercial basis. Of course when these rules were brought in, no one was watching.
As a freshman in highschool LeBron was on varsity winning a state title then skipped college and was in the NBA at 18yrs old with a franchise on his back.Catlin didn't win nothing in highschool or College,so you're correct Caitlin is nothing like LBJ
Nice speech, Robin. That said, the Fever are gonna get destroyed AGAIN...because this is NOT a team in any sense of the word. It is merely a collection of some very good players, some very bad. They do NOT stand up for themselves--much less each other--and they get that mindset from their shell of a coach...who sticks her neck out for NONE of them. I really like Caitlin, but until they get her an enforcer--a Charles Oakley or Draymond Green--she will NEVER win a title. EVER. These current teammates are all god-awful. No one on this team has any heart or grit. If people cannot see that after 41 games--then god bless them. They just don't WANT to see it. Again, they'll get destroyed again tonight. If I end up being wrong, I will be pleasantly surprised and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. I hope I am--but I've just seen too much of this "team"...and too little from them.
The Connecticut sun are one of the worst offensive teams in the wmba, why they are so good is because of their defense and defense brings offense. Shooting 3s is not the only way to score and impact a game, defense is another way, the only reason fever was still in that game in the first half is because of Lexi Hull, that girl was hot on defense when their shots wasn't falling, Lexi was grabbing rebounds and left and center and immediately Hull picked her 3rd foul and went to the bench everything fall apart. Clark and Mitchell didn't have anything to contribute once their shots aren't falling and there is no way you are going to win any big game or a championship without defense and rebounding, never.
The intensity and pressure is what destroyed Caitlin, Kelsey plus the physicality they were too big, too strong, the Sun will win by at least 25 easily.......unfortunately.
This is the same team the Fever beat a few weeks ago with the same players. There’s nothing new here! The suns might win but it definitely won’t be by 25.
Kelsey didn't shoot the 3ball well but she was still 9for20 for 21pts.The moment wasn't to big for Kelsey.Catlin showed she was clearly shook... she's a offensive one trick pony when her 3ball not falling
The refs will continue to screw the Fever. CC will be targeted by the Storm and the refs will turn a blind eye. Will AT again try to decapitate her with another shoulder to the face? Carrington will manage yet another cheap shot? I pray to God that CC is not injured in the game. They should take professional out of the name of this league.
THEY MADE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS. YAY!!!
When CC talks everything is fine.
this is a problem.
Hoping for the best but regardless the season was a success. Gotta make some key personnel moves in the off-season and maybe look at available coaches but this team should be in the playoffs yearly going forward
We need Boston to set proper screens
Yeah CC herself said Hannah is better at screens. AB is terrible.
FEVER FIRE! TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK

Win or lose give the best one has. Nerves definitely got in the way but bad refs are not acceptable. Will never accept corrupt referees.

Hull also needs to take more than 4 shots
Let's start with Hull needs to make A SHOT. She has been terrible recently.,
Go Fever.

The clock keepers could use some focus, the refs could use some effort. W isn’t just trashy, they also are not serious about game management.
Robin, Curt Miller is now available, what do you think?
"for sure"you can tell she from iowa
The refs are not going to let the Fever win.
Hey Fever gonna make what was what IS !
The Fever didn’t game plan for the game to go like it did the Sun did a great job forcing them into it

She may not be re-enacting the eye poke. We have to be careful about this one. She may have been doing the Carmelo Anthony 3 motion.
I think they need to extend the tournament in the first round to best of 5 and semi-finals and finals to best of 7
Started in 2022, the 2-1 first-round format is from when WNBA teams flew commercial
It’s expected to at least go back to 1-1-1. Ur suggestion is good.

@@AbzScotlandYes! I had thought the regular season set up should be that a team plays each team 4x.
Correct every team should have at least one game in their own building
