And also i watched his Shima Sakon playstream in August 24th 2024 I can confirm that Basara combat basically is not that simple although you can spam square only. Ever heard "Basara is Devil May Cry mechanic in Warriors game"? That statement is very explaining what Sengoku Basara is

SB2 Yukimura theme is my personal best. They kinda ruined it in SB3 onward. Not that it's bad, it just doesn't sound serious enough for me.

Kojuro's theme is way better in 3 Utage with them guitar riffs. And personally I like Sasuke's theme too And a little bit info I liked Ieyasu's theme too

I must say that Tadakatsu's Basara 2 theme is way more menacing than what they go for 3, which is noticeably more mechanical sounding. Kenshin is also the one i prefer in 2 well. i feels more... Philosophical. I also prefer Hideyoshi's more somber tone in 2 than a full on conqueror mode in 4

Why does fuma kotaro's theme sounds like something out of Dynasty Warriors games?

I was about to say, "Why is there a theme in the series with English lyric's" before you revealed it was a joke lol. What song was that though?

My music knowledge is very low so i usually dont pay attention to soundtracks, is not my thing and i do think its a shame i dont think abt it much. With that said , i could point out 3 themes that really makes me notice them. Oichi, Yukimura and Sasuke But oh boy, when you arrive at sb3 themes, thats my jam.

Tbh I still prefer most of character themes from Basara 2/2 Heroes rather than in Basara 3/4. Like Masamune theme that has different drum beats or Nagamasa theme which intro has more instruments. Imho it sounds misplaced re-arrangement rather than enhance the OG theme feel

For the kick stance L1+square you can mash the square button to extend it. Also i didn't see you use his R2 counter super which is an shame because it's very good. What it does is after you successfully land the counter you do more damage but take more damage. And you can stack that buff up to three times for an even grater attack buff/grater defense nerf.

Hearing Honda theme in Samurai warrior: "aha the japanese Lubu is here~" Hearing Honda theme in BASARA: "Jaysus! i'm about to get drilled!!!"

There's also another great remake called Streets of Rage 2X, I made a review of it my channel, and a spiritual successor called The Takedown. It even has voice actors from Final fantasy 7 and DBZ Abridged. Great Video. Keep it up, brother.

i can't play this games they are not in english..

i prefer using custom characters in dynasty warriors 8 empires. its flexible customizable weapon switching, movesets and musou moves is a great mechanic that allows players to make their ultimate-mundane-whatever types of dream characters. the problem isn't the weapon switching idea itself, its the bad gameplay balancing mechanics of weapon switching that were easily exploitable by players for easy win but heavily handicapped the ai characters who can't handle the complex weapon switching moves... maybe we'll see koeitecmo try different idea with weapon switching in dynasty warriors origin... being stuck only using 1 weapon all the time will make newer warriors games look bad in comparison to many other modern arpg games that allow using different weapons and movesets in game for each characters. for me, and i imagine many casual warriors fans... i just want warrior games with lots of customization options for custom characters that allow us to make those character do cool moves regardless of realism or game balance... but i still want the options to battle challenging enemies and smart ais too to spice things up.

I know this is for the dw4 haters but in defense of it since it was my favorite one, i do like it more than 3 just because you dont need the xl expansion to get all the playable characters and I disliked the weight system in 5

There's so much good stuff from this game, so instead i probably pick my most underrated choice here... It was the Inabayama Stage theme. I know it's technically from Basara 2 and not Heroes, but why is this game didn't put the Basara 2 Stage Soundtracks in the Gallery, argh! D:

On Ikki Rebellion fitting in a Mega Man level. Not sure if I fully agree but that's mostly because of the instruments used, I think if the ice robot master was also Japanese themed, or the Japanese instruments were substituted for something else, then I feel it would be perfect.

Number 3 proves that Basara is all about the character theme songs.
