A lil bit trivia for Darkness element character at 20:11
Some character weapon has side effect to decrease your life bar gradually when you not defeat enemies such as Oda Nobunaga or Sarutobi Sasuke's weapon. You can notice when in preparation screen and you highlight the weapon with specific element (3rd or 6th one), the description has purple (or red i forgot) color sentences (or kanji). Remind you with PS2 Shinobi, i assume?
    Also
Don't let "it just only 2 special attacks" fool you
If you don't familiar with the stages, wrong special attacks set means you can miss some requirements at specific stage for personal item such as " 300 hit or more" or "reach some point before enemy scene occur" (which likely you must fast kill enemies mostly using shield)

You explained everything very well. As a big fan, it was great to be reminded of all the greatness this game contains. ❤

As someone who's still only played Samurai Heroes, it was actually a little surprising that all of those moves were done with the triangle button, rather than using other buttons like R1. Still cool but it's just something I thought was always in the series.
It's nice to know what makes 2 different to 3 though, and SH is a good first impression in my eyes so good to know what I'm getting into before I'm lost in text I can't read, when playing the second game.

Oh wow, it's so weird seeing another Oichi that isn't... Miserable lol. But yeah great video as always. Really shows the love that goes into SB, especially looking at footage of i think Samurai Warriors alongside it, I definitely would've gravitated to SB more if it was pushed in the West harder.

I feel like even me as a child would tell that the gameplay of Basara 2 Heroes looks more interesting compared to say DW5 or SW2. Like the grounded moveset didn't look too compelling, you can't really do anything airborne,, on top of the Musou Attacks back there are just... One attack in a loop on repeat. I'm glad that they went for a more flashy style come DW7-8 and SW4, with EX Attacks, Shorter Musous, and the graphics that actually looks bearable instead of just bland environment with massive fog sometimes. But seeing both sides in comparison to this made me appreciate how much uniqueness it had even before we had more complex movesets since Samurai Heroes
Though on Basara, my favorite types are either Charged Attacks and Multi Hit Attacks. Though not all of them follows the same principle such as if I like other skills better.

Another excellent video🔥 I really enjoyed the SW2 vs SB2H comparison
Also, I had no idea that SB had unique army appearances, I assumed it would also be same soldier/different color just like the DW/SW games

I find it funny how Kotaro's musou attack in SW4 is literally a Super Art for Kenshin in Basara that you can spam infinitely.

i always have a hard time ennjoying Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes even though i want to...
i like the stages and the verticality some of them bring with jumping ontop of buildings, but i could never get behind choosing 2 special moves out of a list of 7.
it's like they're gatekeeping potential and combos i so desperately wanna try becausse it would look so cool to put two and two together but no, "here is some depth for you to play around with and slightly tweek your character to your prefered liking or for whats required in a stage to unlock something" the game says, as i feel like i'm in reality adjusting way to much about how the characters is played taken how these are the two unique moves i'll be sticking with through the entire stage... then again, maybe i'm spoiled by Sengoku Basara 3 setting the new standard in which you only choose between 1 of 3 'super arts' as they're called and each character has 5 special moves by default
so, what if in Basara 2 Heroes you could choose let's say... 5 out of the 7 moves? and you could still have it to where you can't easily combo into them like the regular game? (even though i don't like that either, but if it always had to be there, then fine i guess...) it would certainly leave more room for experimentation and not making the moment to moment gameplay feel so repetitive as someone who just likes to jump in and do stages. i've always enjoyed Samurai Warriors 3's gameplay as i probably would with SW2 extreme legends acording to this video. aleast in SW3 i'd say the main gameplay of how you attack things is 'simple, good' while basara 2 heroes's main gameplay is 'to simple'

If that's the case, you are going to love Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi. Every character has 9 special attacks that you can perform in battle, without pre-equipping them in the preparation menu. Unlike in Sengoku Basara 3, you can actually switch R2 attacks during battle by pressing L1+R2.
Another improvement for Sengoku Basara 4 is that some special attacks can be performed mid-air. For example, Masamune's Crazy Storm, Magnum Step, Phantom Dive, and Hell Dragon can be done in the air. This allow players to have more stylish combos. In fact, Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi is a game where you are rewarded more if you perform more stylish combos, emulating that of Devil May Cry.

Hm, interesting... I should see to it once I eventually get around to eventually playing it!
At the start of the year i bricked a PS3 i got help to properly mod, so I've been taking a step back from thinking about fixing it and the community of a curtain game (soulcalibur 5) i was apart of, until sometime in December where i plan on hopefully having gotten my hands on a new hard drive, and if not... a new console entirely

I never try SB2 since I always find it weird to play the game in Japanese while I started with SB3. But as the time passes, at this point Even if Capcom does a port, remaster, or remake, I will give it a shot someday 🫡 you are doing an amazing job doing this kind of videos !
