I found generic aqua tech cartriges that are the same as the penguine pro 125 on amazon for $1.13 a piece. So i use them and sponges.

Thanks, I opened my brother's noisy airpump because he was already planning to throw it away anyways and he already bought a new one for his aquarium, didn't find anything wrong with it in my initial inspection. I looked up online to see what might be the problem, saw your video, tried increasing the clearance of the electromagnet creating the oscillations for the bellow as you suggested, it's now a lot quieter now! got rid of the annoying rattling noise! Now he has a spare air pump!

Great help, but the loudest pump in this video is the one on your face. That heavy nose breathing is insanely distracting for future reference.

Just buy an AquaClear if you want a sponge filter.

im doing an ecosystem tank, just sunlight, everything gathered from outside for free, crayfish is the master of my snails plants are thriving cope pods and bacteria naturally spawning and well i added bubbles Im surprised i found cope pods thriving

For the neos how did you make the switch, can you go through how to create that pump system you made?

I have about 10 copepods separated in a jar and after few mouth population looks same like at a begining. Im not sure why they won't multiply but i will continue testing with different foods

Quick tip, -Get the pumping arm and rubber caps try to change the angle of the arm -Try add tissue paper to reduce any minor movements due to vibration. Place it to the thing that holds the arm that is surrounded by rubber try touching parts that dangle or move fix it -Try to hang the pump mid-air so it doesn't vibrate to any surface. It solved the 100% issue in mine Sounds like brand new now and doesn't annoy me

I got a bunch of these in my tank by accident and I was worried, but it’s by far my cleanest tank now. They eat all of the algae and detritus and algae off of my sponge filter and plants. The sponge filter looks brand new except for these guys crawling on it and it’s been in there for months.

Omg!! I have 2 - 40's and theyre loud as HELL. I am SO glad I found this. Im actually looking for an inexpensive diapraghm pump to do water changes. My apartment went low flo so my aqueon isnt pulling like it should. But THIS, way better. .😂😂😂

After my 10th attempt to keep daphnia alive I finally found out how to do it right. 3 weeks after, a cyclops bloom just wiped out hundreds of daphnia in only 24 hours. They eat them...

I don't have great luck growing bacteria on the bio wheels, but they are an amazing way to get better water oxygenation

I just got some of these yellow Neocaridina shrimp, and I also keep them with Amano shrimp and guppies. Nice tank man. 👌

After a slight drop, my Ecoair 2 got noisy. Internals are almost identical to the one in the video. Fixed it in five minutes and learned how these things work. Great tutorial!! Thanks!!!

Hi hi, you can sift it to get different sizes, large medium and small, I'd also suggest rinsing them before you put them in the tank, then you'll get rid of dust and other stuff😂.

Any issues with marineland flow running front to back rather than bottom to top? Some guys helped me out at my LFS and right now I have a ton of bio rings at the bottom and some filter floss on top I like your setup with adding a sponge and filter floss in the first area

I have cyclops, I take the water from the lake (in Paris area), and put it in my Red Cherries/guppies tank, and every one become crazy hunting them and feasting greedily with them.

I had a bunch, did a few big water changes, and now I don't have nearly as many. :( I do have some of various sizes so hopefully they come back!

are the marineland filters loud?

Do you have to remove the carbon from your filter? I also have zero Phosphate levels, will Excel correct that?

What kind of filter do you have on that tank ?

When I do water changes should I avoid putting the water that has these little guys into my sink or plants?

Where would the carbon go if I need to use that? Also what about Peat if I need that?

How did the little shrimp survive with so many guppies ? I have a super-jungle tank with 3 adult guppies , fry and 17 neocaridinia. Today I saw the first tiny baby shrimp. I hope he'll make it.
