My biggest concern for this leader is that it’s in EB02 and the normal OPTCG sets are already expensive and hard enough to get. If you don’t have money to preorder months ahead you’re basically screwed at finding any for msrp. EB01 is $250 a box right now. This set is probably going to be bonkers expensive 😭

I was hyped when the card was leaked and not one of my friends believed me in the hype of this card.

One good tech that I didn't see in any list you showed is the 4c Odyssey Robin. It prevents your straw hat characters from being KO for one turn, you just need 2 characters rested when playing it. It is really good against black (I see you hiding Lucci). Don't forget that it is a 5k attacker with 1k counter.

In the matches I've seen it looked very good. It seems really good against Teach especially. Tho in my matches on Sim as Shanks I destroy it pretty much every time. I wonder if its just that bad of a matchup or if my opponents don't know how to play it yet.

Quick note to, luffytaro can put in blocker sanji if you’re 2 less don than your opponent since it functions as a 3 cost.

I am really excited for this deck, I can’t stop watching duels of this leader. I have seen yt videos of people commenting on their own pre-recorded matches (either on person or of the sim). If you want to keep practicing commenting matches I think that is a good choice for videos.

All the don manipulation and getting units as a result of don manipulation really reminds me of RP Law but without the free inherent removal

Until we know the cards in op11 i like a more trigger base nami deck would work amazing. So when they connect with the hit with a 7k leader it feels punishing. Also like the yellow jewelry Bonnie with this deck.

I am now glad that luffy from the purple starter deck is color lock to purple.

People’s judgment of the corrida coliseum effect is so flawed… like yeah it’s good on Usopp and Rebecca but the reason for that is that those leaders include blue and are thus designed to have lots of draw. They can and want to take a bit of a slow game so they can afford waiting for the opponent to swing first and rest their characters. But Koby can’t. You don’t have green so you can’t rest opponents’ characters to actually swing into them and you have black navy so you are already KOing with effects anyway so why would you need to swing into them? I’m not saying it’s bad but the argument of corrida is great on Usopp/Rebecca, therefore it’s great on Koby just doesn’t make sense. Also, it’s strange that even tho Koby lets his characters attack immediately, he doesn’t protect them from battle and since they immediately rest themselves they easily die to attacks.

Oh, I didn't know you were not up to speed with all the lore. Ok, SWORD is basically an organization inside the Navy, so do consider that all SWORD cards will most probably also have the Navy type. Also, finally Red Navy support. Might finally make Garp playable?

Can I be really honest about gecko? I think it is overvalued in navy decks. The best combo would be a rebecca helmeppo into what, a hina? Ok, but how do you ko? Or do you just go into a brook? I don't know, honestly I think we are building ourselves into a corner looking only at the usual staples, I think all black players should honestly ask themselves if gecko really is as autoinclude as everyone thinks it is. I know this opinion probably will be extremely unpopular, but to me gecko is an autoinclude honestly only in Lucci, because you have spandine. In other decks yes, you get around 17 don worth of characters, but looking at the quality of said characters, it honestly varies a lot.

Keep in mind Koby is 4 life while op7lucci and smoker are 5 life. So probably not that good into doffy
