Loving seeing some OP10 Kid, but not taking care of that Teach was deadly, the character does so much work. It's always a removal priority when I'm playing against Doffy
Think if he uses the first gedatsu on BlackBeard he has an easier game, the Doffy had to search it so theres a high chance he only has 1 copy, and the following turn he would only take 1 extra damage from the Law he chose to pop, and the would still have the turn where he double Gedatsu'd. The BlackBeard lived too long and he got too much value the whole game.
The houndblaze is probably for 2c Kids in Luffy BY when they play them early to set up or not play under pudding, 2c shirahoshi is also a valid target, 2c Teach in the mirror as well
Great video, I don't agree with some of the decisions the Kid player made, but I don't know if it was winnable. Ngl I'm starting to get a little tired of Doffy and thats coming from someone who built and played the deck himself lol
@@atrocioustcg I kinda wonder what would happen if Moria and 4c Jinbe were to be banned or restricted. Might just give a lot of other decks the chance to compete at the highest level
@@atrocioustcg You may be right, usually one very strong deck and its counter define most metas. Tho I think many decks are quite even right now. I think banning those cards might be too harsh, but restricting them to 2 sounds very interesting to me. Doffy is just a little too consistant for its own good
every single turn he was taking life against 7k and blocking leader 9k +counter. if he was gonna take life regardless, at least block the 7k. and opponent was forced to either commit alot of don if he was gonna swing on law or play carachter cards but not both.
Kid threw so hard...when blackbeard attacked he countered with X-drake which rest a 4 cost character for 3 dons. If he just took the attack he couldve rested the boa hancock on his next turn for 3 dons using the X-drake and with 7 remaining dons and 4 swings it wouldve been easy to math out the oppenent. The kid player choked hard

How does worlds work with the West and East being on different sets? Thanks again for all your hard work and providing us with great info and content!!!

We don't know how this year will go, but last year they had the East go backwards since the West did not have the cards & they played in OP05 format (although op06 was already released in the east). I bet they do the same thing, since EB02 releases before worlds this year
He messed up that last turn. When Doffy blocked the 5k swing with Boa he should have cleared Boa and Wevil with the Law's. Ace attacks one of the Jozu's. Less likely he has 2 2ks. Then the same Kid and Shirahoshi play.

There a couple different styles of it in the game. There is Blue OP03 Nami who has an alternate win condition where if your deck hits 0 cards you win, essentially a mill deck. And then there is the whole color of black that revolves around trashing cards and bringing them back or using them in other ways. Specifically decks that can run the 8 cost Gecko Moria like OP02 Smoker and OP07 Rob Lucci. And then there are decks like OP09 Blackbeard and ST13 Luffey that utilize those cards in your trash in other way. Hope this helps!
no , you are talking about a discard system similar to purple in digimon and union arena . Or similar to dark world in yugioh. We dont have ANYTHING like this or close to this unfortunately

I agree it did get a ton of value, but also I wouldn’t have expected it to get Hound Blazed & swing LOL

@ on the contrary, I think it would just make a different deck BDIF until people got sick of it. It’s a constant loop in card games

There’s a couple! Any Black deck (besides blackbeard) is typical, OP03 Blue Nami & ST13 Black/Yellow Luffy come to mind!

New to the game but why didn’t kid go for life at the end with 4 attackers when doffy only had 3k counter?
The Boa Hancock 4c is a blocker, so unless Kid had a rush character he couldn’t get the win as easy!
