Why didn't you put the torque converter on there before you put the trans on the jack ..
A little silly toy....proceeds to powder coat it. 😂😂😂 Fancy toys..
Hey man I’m still waiting on part 2 lol.
Tank might look better black?
Nice how to. I am thinking that ready made from Build America or Light Armor is more cost/time effective. Always great to see real guys make stuff, though
How to do your run power to the fuse block?
Kind of unrelated to the video but you seemed like you may be interested. I'm making a diy electronic air manifold controller. It's fully open source so you can customize it however you want. Obviously free, it's open source. It's called OASMan. I can't send links here but google 'arduino open air suspension' and click the github link that says OAS-Man.
Hey partner can you link your wheel setup please. I love those damn things they look perfect on our car.
Awesome Video! I am definitely gonna have to get a setup up similar to this for sure on my 97 SS Camaro.
I store my quickjacks between the studs in the walls of my shed. 16" on center they fit perfect and don't take any floor space. Just stand them up and i have a rubber strap hooked to eyelits for safety and security. And I have a large rubber coverd hook to hang my hoses in the center of my quickjacks. One and different note I bought 8 1" casters and 3m them on the bars that elevate so they roll easy when I adjust the quickjacks under my truck or car. Protects them from rough ground in my tar driveway. No garage so all my vehicle work in the driveway.
Did you ever have any issues or concerns running those 5x120 wheels vs 5x4.75? I want to go this route on my daily
Hey Wesley, I can't give a recommendation based on daily usage. I have ran them for a few years without any issues BUT running a 5x120 on a 5x4.75 isn't without risk given they are roughly a half a millimeter off on the pattern.
That’s funny you didn’t know the fronts are plastic. I was thinking that from the beginning “what’s he gona do on the front.” ‘93 (first year) is the only year 4th Gen. with steel front fenders.
I want to bag a 1941 Plymouth coupe. What are recommendations. I have done hydros on 64 Impala before . No experience with airbags
This is great info ,thanks !
Thanks for the video. Im just wondering if the switch side is just pushed on with no clamp or what? plus what are the two wire connectors on the back of the switches? Also on the gauge side ,how does it go in or is it just push in as well? Thanks again!
the f body drifting community is growing and i love it
How much for the UMI suspension kit and the these Viking coilovers?
I plan own ordering a set for my f body soon! My offset with my 18 *9.5 wheels are aggressive.. Did you order the warrior, are crusader coil overs? What spring rate did you use?
I always wonder how these do in autox. They can definitely handle with the right setup and one gear can probably carry you through most of a course
I’ve been wanting to do this for my 1956 Ford Victoria, it has nice chrome on the roof and drip rail area so i can’t use a roof mounted rack like i have on my 54 Customline. This is a fantastic alternative. Thank you for making the video! 🤘🏼😎🍻
Wondering if it ever rubbed in the front on the fender with the +22 offset I’m diggn the stance, and considering going this route. I don’t race my car just occasional pull here n there. Appreciate any feedback
Love my Viking coilovers, I run a 850lb spring front and 275lb rear, comp is at 12 rebound 15 front, rear 8 clicks on both
I don't understand why people hate racing so much, those guys and girls aren't doing anything wrong. They are just out there trying to have a good time and enjoy themselves. The public fears what they don't understand, they need to learn to accept the car culture. During the past two years, Drag Strips and Speedways have been getting close down across the country. We should be out there fighting to keep racetracks alive and stop them getting destroyed. They could build some new racetracks, that have four lanes and an oval track with racing. That could also take care of the Street Racing and Street Takeover problems that people are always complaining about. I've seen some videos about people buying racetracks that are abandoned, and they work on restoring and bringing them back to life. We can't allow our country to lose interest in Stock Car Racing, something that has been around since the 1940's and can't let these corporate companies replace Drag Strips and Speedways with expensive housing, just so they can put more money in their pockets. If we could somehow get the younger generation interested in NASCAR, maybe there's still a chance of keeping the car culture alive for the future.
Love the car!! Question, where did you run the ground from the reducers? Also, what did you plug into the reducers for power, like from the car side?
Is there any splicing for ground wires, or is there ground through all of them when the ecu is bolted up ?
Can u show the spacers use with UMI brackets? I can’t seem to figure out what spacers I need .
Good idea.
if you can't conect the hose pres down while you are connecting
What does the new exhaust setup/reroute look like?
Hey guys im just trying to get my sr20det to run in general ive swapped it into an is200 track car and im just trying to wire it to a push botton start atm i can spin the starter and turn the feul pump and fans on but thats about it do you have a diagram of what wires need 12v and or relays and what wires need earth in order for it to run when i turn feul pump on and spin the starter i currently have no power at my ecu at all
Hey Bradley, that sounds like an awesome project! We may be able to help, go over to the Dad Mods website www.dadmodsofficial.com and check out the tech section. I put together a bunch of info on the wiring that should helpful help! Forgive all the broken links on the videos, lol, RUclips changed something and I need to update all the urls 😆
Did you make custom mounts?
We didn't. We actually found a mount kit on Ebay. Take a look, they may still be available
@@DadModsMedia this is thee best answer ever! I saw them and had serious doubts being ebay and. All
Yeah we were a little shocked too. The mounts worked out fine for us. Positioned the engine perfect.
Off subject: I have a 1949 Ford custom. Looks like same color. No plate in the door jam. Do you know the color or the color#. Thanks William
If you were doing a big job like a transmission swap that required you pull the trans and have it rebuilt, can you leave the car up on the jacks and disconnect the hoses and pump so they are not on the floor for the duration?
It's 350 watts I got 1, I'm watching your videos trying to learn how to upgrade it.
Great video! I did the same thing you did and took the rheostat apart accidentally. LOL
Thank you for the great video with safety tips. I have a 7000TL. I've used it on my X1 easily with the easy to find attached lift blocks under the car. My question is that you said you have a 1999 Camaro, I have a 1995 Z28 convertible, and I'd like to know where it is that you lifted your '99 with the QJ? This way, I'll know im doing it properly when I lift my '95. Thank you.
Music is very distracting unless I’m fired up and having a few beers
That's good feedback to know. I often wonder if the use of music can be overpowering in my videos. Thanks for chiming in. Hope the video was helpful otherwise!
Great video! Thank you very much. Does anyone knows the part number of those crazy looking o- rings inside the AVCS pulleys?
I was only ever able to find replacements on ebay from an oversee supplier. But this was many years ago so I can't speak to whether they can still be found. Another factor that is very important is alignment of the two halves of the AVCS pulleys when you put them back together. Misalignment can cause some very dramatic issues I'm told. You may want to considering speaking with Outfront Motorsports if you are worried about your ability to align these correctly. They have machined an alignment pin to guarantee this and, last I checked, offered it as a service.
Hey hey!
Aloha!
Awesome find! My grandpa is 88 years old I heard stories about his 1950 Ford a lot he said it was a very good reliable car back in the day, and had power for its time. Unfortunately he didn't keep any of the cars he had over time, I love seeing all kinds of classic cars, congrats on the purchase. Classic cars are a lot of fun, sometimes they can run into time and money but worth it for sure.
Oh man, if only our parents and grandparents knew how special their daily drivers would become one day! My grandfather had an old Ford pickup that I wish he kept around but at the time, I'm sure he just saw it as a regular old truck that wasn't cutting it anymore. Thanks for sharing man!
This might be a fix for a 2jz swapped e30 almost everyone runs into a problem especially with aftermarket intakes
I've been considering purchasing a set of Quick Jack's for some time. The fact that you are unable to access the underside of the vehicle from the driver or passenger side seems like a major disadvantage. I envision having the vehicle lifted in a standard size garage with the garage door closed (if working on the vehicle in the winter) and not being able to access the underside of the vehicle unless you leave your garage door open. The lift literally blocks access to the underside of the vehicle from front wheel well to rear wheel well. Is this a concern with this type of lift?
Interesting 🤔 I actually have a 76 Ford Maverick rear end just cause I running a 350 sbc combo. I heard you say it might snapped but does the drop lock actually work? I heard different.
Rad man!
Had to go to the website to find out what it what used for.
Bro I just drove my '49 for the first time a couple weeks ago after having it for 4 years. I feel your pain
No joke, that might be my old bike. I traded it with some cash for a 56 Ford about 11 years ago!
What’s the ride height from base🥹 I absolutely love the height it’s sitting at I just got some triple adjustment umi Viking complete kit, And I’m geeeked about getting them installed , I want my car low but not too low where it scrapes. Thankyouuuu!! This video made me extra excited
My first bike was a 1978 XS650! Mine didn't have a choke lever either. I just held the choke open with my finger.
Had a 77, I loved that bike. Wish I could find another.
There's many to be had but so often they are in sad states.
