Nice job! I’ve got the exact opposite issue, my trunk won’t latch. The latch itself was rust welded in the open position. Got it disassembled, soaked in trans fluid and working again. Now I gotta get the seized lock cylinder free’d up, got any advice on removing the trunk lock cylinder? Ah and watch out for those center caps! 😂
Oh boy she's seized in there eh? I haven't had to pull a lock cylinder yet but photos look like there's a couple fasteners. I could be wrong. If it does have a couple machine screws holding it in then I would just grind off the heads and see if it pops loose. I'm going off of shoebox central's replacement cylinder photo: shoebox-central.com/1950-ford-trunk-deck-boot-lid-handle-lock-cylinder-tumbler-new
No one wants to spend more money if they don't have to. Hope you can get her loose. I'd suggest an electrolysis bath but then you would probably trash the chrome
Saw you at Canal Park the other day
Yeah it's a nice loop for a cruise :)

@@DadModsMedia yeah I was looking at that too, I may just buy a brand new cylinder and handle, but that’s no fun lol.
