awesome song im going to cover this song on drums
Glad you like it!
@ my other favorite is living on command I have that song on repeat 🤘🏾🤘🏾
Loved the reaction! If you love live performances PLEASE listen to My Mind by Yebba live at Sofar! Amazing vocal ability, full of raw emotion.
Lizzy has said that the vocals in the song are actually from a voice demo! Lizzy and her band loved the tone of the demo so much that they decided to build everything off of the demo. This makes the entire feel of the song much more intimate and reflective of the lyrical content. I’ve never seen anyone like her before. The way she approaches creative decisions like this really shines and shows how authentic she is as an artist
Yes thats rose!!!! She owns her own melodies
“I don’t know why I do it” lol 😂 sounds like most of life 😂
I like it better than Billie's version. She has a much better voice! Love ABI, SO PROUD OF HER!
I think you’re so fair, and I loved watching her perform. There wasn’t anything you said that was wrong and you said it in a nice way!
Appreciate that!
Then what, how do you keep it in place?
And then you set your EQ in the amp and gain on the recorder/interface below -12 db? On the edge of yellow? I have not been happy with my output
It is assumed that you like the sound coming out of your amp before you mic to record. Interface level will be determined by your preamp but really just look at the level coming in. Basically peaks below zero.
@ I like the sound coming out of both amps, and each channel. But it sounds like hot steamy poodle 💩 💩 💩 new SM57. Voice sounds fine, guitar shizzle
She made it her own.
i hope is not too late but i need a ii hands ii heaven reaction
This song is absolutely amazing makes me cry
Hey there Barrett! big fan of your videos. could you please react to a song by a really cool band? The Dip - Love Direction
If you prefer live versions you should check out the live version of this on I found new music with grant something. It showcases bother her and finneas.
Gracie is the daughter of director J.J. Abrams. People hate nepotism babies when they are given opportunities they aren’t qualified for over someone that would do a better job at that role. HOWEVER, Gracie used her resources to really push herself as a young artist and songwriter so that her craft could speak for itself. And I’d say she has succeeded at that. ❤
You commented how you don’t particularly like the guitar key I wanted to say I adore it, I think it goes perfectly with the stinging emotion of the song I think that was a very smart choice by them
4:54 I love how the backup singers imitated Billies adlibs in the studio recording Billie has commented how her favourite parts of this song are her adlibs
Thirty year full tim musician here. Your'e analysis is wrong. One of the downsides of YT is people who will sit with a guitar in their hands and react to guitar legends so viewers will get the impression that the reactor is just like the legend. Attempted stolen valor as a symtom of insecurity.
Your an idiot

Cool tune. Not sure I see the dream of people watching you naked. However, I'm getting regret for a lost love and trying to fulfill the physical part while connecting emotionally to the loss. Or something like that. Would never have heard this if you hadn't posted it. Thank you!
New song out today -> Comfortably Numb 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I’ll check it out
Fantastic
You should check out his first album if you're into rock music. Pink Floyd and Beatles influenced album
More reactions of Billie please…I am 58 and just discovering her and her brother’s genius ….wow
Record of the year. Yes …no…what. Do you think…? For me….yes
It's definitely up there!
Gracie is a singer-songwriter and also opened for Olivia as well as Taylor. She is friends with Taylor and she co-wrote the title song “us” with Gracie on her new album The Secret of Us. “I love you, I’m sorry” is a follow up to Gracie’s first hit “l miss you, I’m sorry”. This live studio performance I feel is the BEST version of this song. She added additional strings, piano, and guitar over the studio version that’s on the album. Gracie also did 2 other live studio performances of “I knew it, I know you” and “Free now” both of which are phenomenal 😮!
She's performed as an opener for Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour and Taylor has done a collab ("Us") with her. So your comparison is pretty on target.
YES!! More Barrett. Really enjoyed this song and the video too. ❤❤
Excellent musicianship, and her voice is amazing. To me, there is an essence of Counting Crows influence. Thanks for sharing! Good stuff!
He record's music on his phone
Love the song. Love the video. I get that the video is not everybody's cup of tea, but it is what it is. You have to really dig in and analyze the video to get it or come up with your own interpretation.
Yes I missed you! So glad you chose that Billie song to react to. She and Finneas did a video for AMEX breaking down that song - how they wrote, produced, and put the lyrics to melody. It’s phenomenal. I love the way Billie puts “hmm”s throughout the verses - that’s intensional on her part! The Amazon Live music version of this song is better, so hope you check that out.
yeah we did miss you lol.
Glad you're back, man! Great song, not so great video. Good thing it's not about the video.

Yes I missed you Barrett for what it’s worth. Glad you’re back. ❤❤ Such a catchy track 😊
00:36 Nice..
I love David
Inflection
But
I couldn't agree more that her phrasing is just so interesting. To me, it feels like she has an unusual sense of liberty to her melody-writing, like she's not influenced by the chords or the meter or even the rhythm. It's really easy, during the writing process, to let the thing you came up with two bars ago to influence--even dictate--the thing you're about to come up next. Somehow, Lizzy seems to float above that sort of homogenizing flow, unaffected by the current, and this lets her do these playful twists on the phrasing. BUT, it must be stressed, even when they're unexpected the first time, they make perfect sense on a relisten, they're not jarring or uncomfortable, and to the degree that they are uncomfortable, it serves the purpose of the song. It's as much as musical talent as it is storytelling one, and that's what keeps her creativity from sounding contrived, which really elevates her music to just an inspirational level.
very well stated! thanks!

React to Electric Callboy's We Got The Moves and see why it has 54 million views. They are from Germany. A former screamo band who got a new singer and went through a metamorphosis during the Covid lockdown. Ticketmaster awarded them best international live band 2 years running. They are blowing up RUclips.
if you listen to the original studio version, the backup vocalists are only matching billie's own harmony and ad lib tracks. some of them are a little buried in the mix but they're definitely there. i love that they're all fully up front in the mix on this performance. i ❤this version over the album version. she's gonna be on snl next month. i'm hoping she brings a similar arrangement. it appears this tour will feature a mostly live band which is something i've been wishing for since forever. we'll know what she's cooked up in a few days. peace.
Yes I noticed that too
Please please please listen and react to Billie’s other Amazon Music live performances. They are all as phenomenal as this one!☝️

I've been a fan of Billy Joel's music ever since I can remember. Piano Man came out in 1974, the year I was born.
I love every drum fill on this album.
This has become one of my top ten songs of all time.
Love this album! Also love your JH-600 and JH-16 (Worked ay MCI for 10+ years)! Analog lives!!
Oh wow! what did you do for them?
