Guts is definitely better than Midnights. and so is Lana’s album, and so is SOS (maybe tied with Midnights. i’m quite baffled that Midnights won. especially to be that breaking record too.
The funniest part of it all was that this is my least favorite Taylor album, my least favorite Olivia song, my least favorite Billie song and I like ALL of them. This is also not my favorite Miley song, more middling, but NO ONE commands a stage like her. I am thrilled that she won two Grammys but should have gotten at least one or two before now. Didn't get the comment about Taylor winning making Republicans angry. If that's the case, can you make all of them that live and interact around me to stop gushing over her?!? Taylor's biggest drawback for me is her fans. She's great, but they ALL are pretty much awful, regardless of age, gender, politics, etc. Also, she is DANGEROUSLY close to oversaturation to the point that a massive backlash will come. I wish she would take time off and go chill out of sight for a year with that giant headed football player.
What confuses me is how Paramore won both best rock album and best alternative performance, then boygenius won best alternative album and best rock performance. It doesn't make sense to me how both are both rock and alternative. Either way I am happy for both groups. Especially since Paramore is the first female fronted band to ever win the best rock album.
because this is why is an alternative song on a rock album if that makes sense.. if you take the one song it can for sure be labelled alternative however the entire album as a whole has way more rock cuts than alternative ones!
Metallica won the Metal category. Agreed on the Rock Performance category, Boygenius are awesome, but not sure if its the right fit for the rock category(Foos or Metallica!!!). Regardless, very happy for their success and their rise up!
