Hats off to ya for teeing up this reaction piece. It's been a minute since I watched AI through an entire episode. The show has really evolved, and the talent is really good. My biggest takeaway is Ms. Twain's technical knowledge is incredible. What a treat for those performers to get some 1-on-1 time with her. Full transparency, I told myself "if BJ can watch an entire episode, so can I." It was a challenge.
After Abu sang Bring Me To Life I paid her the highest compliment I could by saying she reminded me of Floor Jansen not in sound per second but in the way she masters her instrument. Four country singers and a vocalist in the top five. What could go wrong there?

Abi's been my choice from Day 1 too, and I think "Bring Me To Life" re-solidified her lead. I'd love to hear your reactions to that and Jack and Emmy's latest. they've vaulted into my top 3 after being top 10 afterthoughts.
Thanks for posting these Idol pieces. I appreciate honest and constructive criticism. I watch the show, but I get very tired of the judges all just selling product and never daring to say an artist was less than great. I understand the need for it; an honest critique could influence votes. Maybe they could just not say anything? I'm a fan of Abi, but I will say that some of her early performances were just a bit shrill in the higher range of her full voice. She's actually getting better as the season progresses. Maybe she's been availing herself of the show's professional vocal coaches? I'd like to think so. And yes, Ryan is very annoying. He's made a career of it.
@@cajunomics3 He is good at what he does. Honestly one of the best. Just, at one point in this video Barrett kind of rolled his eyes and made some remark about Ryan, so I was playing off of that.

I don't watch Idol anymore but that first girl I am guessing went home.

I actually thought Ryan was good this season, but I understand how the dramatic side is not for everyone.
