Tough circumstances, great performance. Not an Idol fan, but there have been a few performers coming out of that channel that are really good.
Like the reaction! I wasn't sure you were a fan of Abi after your reaction to her audition. I do agree with you... I wish they would just sing and do away with all the flashiness, but then it is a competition and they have only a short time to wow the judges. By the way, Emmy made top 24 as well.

Not a fan of the forced drama either, but then again, it is a show trying to get more views, comments, “chatter,” etc. The best part of having a competition show in this day and time is being able to google the participants and see what they are capable of by looking at their personal social media accounts. When you find Abi, you can see she’s clearly light years ahead of what has been shown on AI. She is going places! Amazing talent, beauty, and personality.
Agree with a lot of this. I'll check it out from time to time to see some of the performances but definitely feels a bit exploitive and I could do without all the manufactured drama. This season had at least two contestants that "weren't planning on auditioning" but just happen to be given a shot on the fly; certainly staged, not sure why they would think viewers believe that. In comparison, I'd say the blind audition rounds of "The Voice" are interesting as the coaches allegedly are only evaluating the vocals without any background info or visuals.

I agree, don't dick with performers hearts, that's just evil crap, some producers just are idiots with zero empathy
