Daniel Haniß, one of EC's guitarists, does the majority of their programming and production. He once told in an interview, during the songwriting process, he programms almost all of the drums. The interviewer asked: "And David (referring to EC's drummer David Friedrich) plays it like that then?", Daniel answered: "David can play everything that I programm, he is a pro."
If you're interested, check out "Drum Solo/ Kurwa Song - Live in Cologne Lanxess Arena 2023" David plays it over a remix of Darude's "Sandstorm" (the Kurwa Song title is an inside joke from their bts/ tour vlogs).

This is a great collaboration and, although it is a straight 50:50 split between both bands, it is probably more Electric Callboy in style. Either way it is fun and it should put a smile on everybody's face.😂
They played it live together two weeks ago in Tokyo at the FOX_FEST events arranged and hosted by BABYMETAL (of course they invited EC as one of the bands to play) and they played it twice today at Rock im Park in Germany - once in the EC set and again in the BABYMETAL set.
BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before, they brought a fusion of great metal instrumentals coupled with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics to create their very own sub-genre (which is why they are called BABYMETAL - it signifies that they invented their own sub-genre, a new style of metal ... it is also a bit of a Japanese pun with BABYMETAL and heavy metal sounding and being written almost identically) and they have continued to develop and evolve from those beginnings.
When they started in 2010 the three members (Su-metal - lead vocalist, Moametal and original 3rd member Yuimetal - backing vocals, harmonies and in charge of hyping and involving the crowd through their choreo) were aged 12, 11 and 11. We have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet.
Yuimetal last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for health reasons until she announced she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band.
Su and Moa continued as a duo for 4 or 5 years supported from 2019 by 3 dancers who would take turns dancing in the third spot until 1st April 2023 when (at the end of this concert you just watched) one of those dancers, Momoko, was finally revealed as the new official third member (she is now known as Momometal).
They don't limit themselves to any one main style or genre and you won't be able to pigeonhole or put them in any one box like you can with virtually every other band in the world, they are one of a kind and they invented their own genre and style that nobody has been able to copy successfully (some have tried, none came close) including bringing choreographed dancing to metal (but not as you might know it from pop acts where it is nearly always used just to fill the stage or give you almost naked girls (and boys) to look at to take your mind off often bland music).
BABYMETAL's choreo helps with interpreting the song - a lyric or the meaning etc, but it is designed to involve and lead the crowd, to give them their cues when to jump, shout, pump their fists, chant and so on. BABYMETAL are complete masters of crowd control and crowd involvement.
They are also the biggest and most successful Japanese band there has ever been internationally - first Japanese band to play their own solo show at Wembley Arena in 2016, sold out the Tokyo Dome (55,000 people) two nights running, also 2016, first Asian (not just Japanese) band to have an album at number 1 in the US Billboard Hard Rock charts - that was 2019.
To see them at one of their arena shows in Japan you have to enter a lottery to win the chance to buy tickets. Last year they played nearly 100 concerts in 25 countries.
They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They first appeared in October 2012 and became the full time support for all live shows from March 2014.
Early on BABYMETAL did not have the funding for a live band so the instrumentals were pre-recorded and played on the backing track. The Kami Band was phased in from October 2012 playing at a couple of festivals and the encores in a few shows.
In 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) were introduced and they have been supporting BABYMETAL on their more extended foreign tours since then - they were the instrumentalists in this video.
They have nearly 70 songs now, every one of them is different from the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal, often when you least expect it. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between - so if you don't like one song no problem - try another, the chances are you'll love it.
Jake Muller already left you a list of excellent suggestions for more songs.

As a long time fan of Babymetal, I can honestly say I am never prepared for what they're going to do next. No worries on the K-pop thing. Music is music. I have the score for bass, and it looks to be tuned down two steps from B. Eb-Bb-F-C which is a little unusual in my limited experience. Didn't check on guitars.

Welcome to the world of fun metal! Babyemtal (Japanese) and Electric Callboy (German) both started in 2010. This song has a very Electric Callboy vibe, although it is a true 50/50 collab.
Electric Callboy is very tongue and cheek and combines Techno, Metal, and satirical humor for a hilariously fun time with amazing music.
Babymetal fuses elements of J-Pop with hard hitting and heavy metal music, with half of their songs being fun and goofy and the other half somber, anthemic, and epic. Always a positive message, and always delivered in the most amazing live setting. Babymetal just released the live version of this song a few hours ago!
While Ratatata is an amazing song, it's not the "best" showcase of Babymetal's true sound. Check out these:
*Road of Resistance (Pia Arena, MM, 2023):* Power metal anthem.
*Monochrome (Pia Arena, MM, 2023):* Heartfelt and melodic mid-tempo rocker.
*Metali (Official Live):* Fun and groovy metal festival song, featuring Tom Morello.
    For Electric Callboy:
*Everytime We Touch (TEKKNO Version):* Best remake of Cascada's classic. Hilariously good.
*MINDREADER (MV):* A more serious song, but amazing.
Hope you check out both groups! 🤘🦊

Thanks from Japan, the homeland of BABYMETAL 有難う💛. BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 16 concerts at 15 venues.
I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄 .
(★ The official live video was posted in RUclips !!)
The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good.
Then the 3 girls and 2 boys are now doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。

    Welcome to the Foxhole 🦊🤘🔥
It's always nice to see more reactors getting into this amazing group, they're a global phenomenon from Japan and trust me you have seen nothing yet.
If you have some doubt about playing this live they just released the live version a couple of hours ago, so come back with that next time if you want.
Here's a brief info about this amazing group:
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop (no K-pop involved) with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal".
    They are:
    *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26.
*MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24.
*MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year.
-YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018.
    None of them are related.
After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said.
There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher.
If you like Jpop and edm elements then you're gonna find a lot of cool songs blended with heavy metal in their latest album "The Other One" released last year. Songs like Divine Attack - Shingeki, METALIZM, Time Wave and Light and Darkness among other great songs as well tracks and live performance from early era will make you bounce and rock with this insane group.
Last weekend of May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) and everyone went wild with this collab, like i said the official live is already out for you to enjoy another blaster version. Btw talking about Abba, EC played this song recently at Sweden Rock but without BM on the stage, only backing tracks and video on screen walls.
The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dance less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath.
    About this song:
This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions, the office with the suits workers and the Japanese boss kinda represent that.
The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference.
The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's probably used way back before in more songs.
The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements.
The moment when they're breaking the wall is another homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said.
Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown is a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie.
Btw I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although fans spotted in the live version, so it was her after all.
Love the euro dance and trance elements mixed with metal, they also did it with Time Wave, one of my favorite BM song from latest album The Other One.
There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture that i probably missing a lot more.
Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more.
The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song.
    Next suggestion:
    - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official MV
I'm gonna leave in my next comment where to get more proshot clips safe to react if YT allows me to do it.
    See you next time 🦊🤘🐭

Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
      - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.
      ruclips.net/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/видео.html
      - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo.
      ruclips.net/video/g2372C5PJLM/видео.html
      - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014.
      ruclips.net/video/dU38CYkpBvI/видео.html
      - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997.
      ruclips.net/video/nwsinmxTxbo/видео.html
      - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one.
      ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html
      - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014.
      ruclips.net/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/видео.html
      - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do.
      ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html
      - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs.
      ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html
      - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
      ruclips.net/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/видео.html
      - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.
      ruclips.net/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/видео.html
If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
      ruclips.net/video/ESzY9dL613Q/видео.html
      - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
      ruclips.net/video/1dT1ywYR5So/видео.html
      - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
      ruclips.net/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/видео.html
      - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
      ruclips.net/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/видео.html
      - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official live MV, be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
      ruclips.net/video/zTEYUFgLveY/видео.htmlsi=BsVOSExS25Qndy1H
      - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
      ruclips.net/video/M8FKumvh-w8/видео.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
      - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
      ruclips.net/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/видео.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
      ruclips.net/video/q40VmTHSh4c/видео.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one).
      ruclips.net/video/aIb2xEthdSg/видео.htmlsi=EnEYU4nN3tuiY3WL
There's a beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until last year unlike the other one with full updates till this year.

Electric Callboy are from Germany and their genre is Electronicore. (EDM, Pop, and Metalcore)
But we like to call this Partycore! 🥳
Their production is out of this world, with many layers and perfect transitions between different parts of their songs.
And the videos are always very entertaining as well. Even the more serious ones.
The collab with Babymetal was genius, since both bands mix metal with other styles. And it seems like both wrote their parts independently with very catchy parts and when they brought this together it became one of the catchiest songs ever. With one hook after the other! ❤
Check out more from both. They are worth it. 😊

For people that know both bands well, this was incredibly fun, and EC definitely got the girls to have some fun for a change, but the song is definitely a collaboration; it's not indicative of what's typical for either band (well, no 2 songs of BabyMetal are the same but normally they go hard and they are dedicated, focused on stage, while EC is incredibly funny as well as being excellent musicians). For people that don't know either band, this video really should NOT be taken as 'this is what BabyMetal or Electric Callboy' is like. I love it though, seeing the girls playing around for a change is awesome!

I'd also HIGHLY recommend reacting to Band-Maid, a female hard rock quintet from Japan. They're co-headlining 3 shows there with The Warning, who opened for Foo Fighters on tour. Band-Maid really shines live, but you might want to go with the studio MV of "DICE" or "Blooming" as a start for some really nice production.

BAND-MAID are only co-headlining at one of the three shows The Warning are doing in Japan.
It's the one at EX Theater Roppongi.
      The venue holds 1,746 people.
The other two shows The Warning are doing in Japan are quite a bit smaller (400 and 360 people).

I've seen Baby Metal videos before, and they were nothing like this (they straight-up rock out). Not sure what to think of this tune, other than it seems like an over-produced rave piece. Candidly, not a fan of this one but I do like Baby Metal. Electric Callboy isn't what I'd pick in a playlist.

You literally had nothing say, although a musician and music engineer. Wow!!! I am really disappointed. Reactors who know nothing about music had more insightful things to say...

And I'm ready comments praising your "reaction"... what reaction?
