They have performed it together twice at Rock Am Ring today, in each other's sets, and you can hear a distinct difference between when EC and Kami Band play which is cool.
I'm 50 years old. I've been going to concerts since 1991. I've seen Depeche Mode multiple times, Nirvana, AIC, Tool, NIN, Pantera Bowie. I've seen hundreds of bands in my time. This without a doubt looks like one of the most authentic and wonderful collaborations I've seen in the last 30 years. It's such a fun experience. I love this song. These two bands make it work. I love music.
It was BabyMetals set and Nico and Kevin joined them on stage. You can hear the intro played longer as they came onto the stage, it was literally done perfectly and the crowd is insane Yes that was MOMO screaming Let’s Go with Kevin before that breakdown 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥
I was in the pit at FOX_FEST and it was complete mayhem. Both EC and Babymetal's sets were wild, but it was particularly nuts for Ratatata. I don't think I've ever had an experience quite like being a crowd of 20,000 people all going "Fu! Fu!" The performance was during Babymetal's set, so the music was played by the Kami Band. They were all grinning so much and looked like they were having the best time. The video doesn't show it but afterwards they all hugged each over, and Kevin ran across the stage to get a hug from Su.
I wish they would have shown that more in the live footage and the music video tbh, most people don't know or realise that Momo is also screaming along with Electric Callboy and that's a shame
I've seen one fancam where they all just seen to have a blast, laughting and being silly all around, to the point that when the girls step downd from the plataform to be in the front of the stage, Su signal to Nico to get closer, as if she was saying "get your ass over here and dance with us". And in the end they all exchange hugs, being so kind and thankful for each other ☺
The mixing is incredible for a live performance. Hard to tell from a video, since there's some degree of production that goes into it, but if that's what the audience heard live I'm seriously impressed with the audio setup. Also, how freaking good are those transitions? From Kevin's super harsh growls straight into clean Babymetal vocals with barely a single beat in between and it just flows perfectly. That's not easy even when you lay down the tracks in a studio and then have weeks to mix it just right. But they pull it off live just as well. Simply fantastic.
I've seen both sets (EC and BM) at Rock im Park and I have to say, the mix of both sets where perfect. I was at a concert of EC at the lanxess arena in Colone (closed roof sports arena), on the wings and it was still friggin perfect. These guys know their stuff.
I just saw them yesterday at Rock im Park and saw it two times because both Electric Callboy and Babymetal played it as a collab on stage. And with Babymetal the started the crowd off with a karaoke of the "fu fu" so the whole song everybody was doing the "fu fu" It was so much fun!
They performed it today again at Rock im Park (Nuremberg, Germany) on both of their stages. So twice! Someone already commented that. Electric Callboys set got the girls perform with cat ears. Babymetals set didn't get the cat ears, but they got new costumes. Tomorrow they will (most likely) do it again at Rock am Ring (Nürburgring, famous German race track). Next weekend there is Download festival in the UK, but the chance is lower, due to them being there on different days. Same goes for the Grapop Metal Meeting in Belgium. They'll also be together at the Resurrection Fest.
I was there on both days. This is on the stage of BABYMETAL, so backed by Kami the west. And the two front men of EC, Nico＆ Kevin, appeared on the stage in the song as the live video. And all five members began 'neck swinging dance with thumb'... I have to confess that I was doubted about Momoko's growling, which followed on from Metali, and Momobanger. But when I read 'PMC Newspaper Extra', that I bought at FOX_FEST, It says about Momoko's growl like it was a new BM jumping off point. I was ashamed of my lack of clarity, but happy at the same time. But I didn't quite get her growl at FOX_FEST. Because I was far from the stage and because of the excitement of mine, lol.
i only just realize again and again how much i love Kevins shouting or fries. After Sushi left he had to do a lot main shouting and grew into that like a champ !
One of the best reactions to this insane song. Luv it. You made this 52 year old laugh and smile. I just wish that both bands would pay Australia a visit..

Saturday 06/08/2024 they performed this song at "Rock am Ring" (RAR) two times. One time at the Mainstage (Electric Call Boy) and after that two hours later at Mandora Stage (Babymetal). It was awesome! :)
Gotta love SuMetal in full Su-ccubus mode.😈🤘❤️ They cut the final part when Su said louder "Thank you Nico and Kevin from Electric Callboy" and all of them hug each other. Fun fact: One of the singers said that it was kinda hard to do that dance move with the hand while moving the head at the beginning. Also at the end, during the third chorus, which btw was a BM suggestion to include (EC didn't want a third chorus), in the MV you can see them doing the same dance move waving theirs arms up and down, they wanted to do it in the live version but they failed and quit when starting with the wrong foot lol EC played this at Sweeden Rock recently and oc it wasn't the same without our girls, still cool thou ngl. EC played with BM together once again at Rock Im Park during EC setlist and later at BM setlist with the girls wearing new badass outfits, pretty sure they're gonna repeat this at Rock Am Ring next.🦊🤘🐭

On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (and group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!) The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band on this stage was BM's West Kami Band (Great!!). Then the 3 girls and 2 boys are now doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。
its the komi band , thats why the music is tighter ,cleaner and has more punch . ps ,if you look , all the musicians are Japanese .it's a Baby Metal gig

yes, in Eurovision they could represent any country, although Germany would make the most sense as EC are from Germany... also in ESC the song can only be 3 min long... it can have a longer version outside of ESC, but in ESC it has to be 3 min or less...
And be an original song, but that part can be figured out easy The only problem is that Germany is one of those countries that DO NOT want to win and have to host it the next year 🤣 (although this year they got really God notes, no we're near the last place as it has been usual recently 😅)

This was during BabyMetal’s set so with Kami band, this seems a bit more guitar forward while with the EC rendition the drums are more forward because David’s drums to me at least have a different tone ( higher/ pingyer 😂) don’t know how else to describe it. At least from the two live videos I saw from RAR. It’s nice to have them be different but equally awesome 🎉

I've heard this song was done during BabyMetal's set at FoxFest, so that would be the babymetal band. If I listen close, I'm pretty sure the drum parts are changed a bit in this one. Dave, from EC, does some of the most simple-yet-intricate little syncopation beats during the "I, will take it to the limit' sections, and I don't hear the same part being played here. It's probably one of those "lets keep it just a little simpler so we don't mess up the one shot at this video. Listening to Dave play those lines, it's like hear a drunk tap-dancer careening down a greased 45 degree slope. Don't know how he does it, but, then again I ain't no drummer.
i like this better than kingslayer. also i love the live version alot more than the original, original was great but bot these bands go all out on stage. so much more exciting!
So go back to the “official video” and just really concentrate on the non-vocal tracks. It’s just amazing. I stripped and just blast the guitar and drum tracks in my car. A total rock-out!

I've heard this song was done during BabyMetal's set at FoxFest, so that would be the babymetal band.
If I listen close, I'm pretty sure the drum parts are changed a bit in this one. Dave, from EC, does some of the most simple-yet-intricate little syncopation beats during the "I, will take it to the limit' sections, and I don't hear the same part being played here. It's probably one of those "lets keep it just a little simpler so we don't mess up the one shot at this video.
Listening to Dave play those lines, it's like hear a drunk tap-dancer careening down a greased 45 degree slope.
Don't know how he does it, but, then again I ain't no drummer.
i like this better than kingslayer. also i love the live version alot more than the original, original was great but bot these bands go all out on stage. so much more exciting!

I think I saw the kami backing band out there and the outro sounded a little more like them, I usually watch live videos and prefer the studio stuff, but this one with all the camera work and extra graphics, I dunno man, this might be better lol. So much energy!
