I think the A3 8P is too uncomfortable on bad streets and too noisy inside. The new 8Y feels so much better.

Does anyone have an issue with their fuel pressure sensors? I had them replaced and the car still cuts out after half an hour driving.

I ended up doing the same thing to replace the thermostat. Good choice considering the intake was filthy.

Good job. Only thing is you could have primed her a couple of times to get the fuel up as you took off the fuel lines they would need primed😅 that's why she took a second to start 👍 good job

Hey mate love your videos.. got an A3 2010 2.0l TDI sportsback and trying to add the digital speedometer option. It doesn’t show on the cluster menu (there shows only language,lights, lock etc) and shows the 1 (computer1 i guess). Tried a carista in the hope to be on the hidden feature but isn’t on there either.. any idea what should i do ? Tired to see only the fuel miles remaining.. thanks and keep it up the good work

Ok, so I've just changed my thermostat on Audi TT 2.0 diesel (CFGB engine) and is the exact same job as this. So.... I've spent a long time working in automotive and now actually work in aviation engineering and I'll say this is a shockingly bad job to do😂 I see a lot of people asking "how do you get the bottom bolt on the thermostat out?" Well, it requires a lot of patience and as small and shallow a 10mm socket on a 1/4 inch extension with a wobbly elbow and even then it's hellish, but removing is just the start of the fun you'll also have to get that beauty back in which is incredibly difficult as you run short on space even more so than removing 👌🏻. I ended up with a ring spanner that I fabricated an approximate 45 degree bend into and edged it back on about 10 degrees per turn until I ran out space so yeah it took a long time. Also, the dipstick is positioned just perfectly to absolutely cause you untold problems throughout again great 👌🏻😂 Pro tip, take the hoses off before you undo the thermostat bolts so when you need to pull on them to remove the thermostat doesn't wobble all about the place. Once you're in a position to take the old one out (you won't be quick getting to this point😂) take your time as this is where I think most people will naff their plastic dipstick. It comes out with a bit of rotating and puzzle solving fine without breaking so just be careful here. The coolant hose clamps are twats so yeah definitely recommend coolant hose pliers at least. Being honest (which unfortunately the lad hosting this video hasn't really been) this isn't a DIY on a Sunday afternoon job, it's a day at least if you've got tools and have a half idea what you're doing... If not take it to the garage I promise you'll regret it otherwise 😅. I didn't need to take inlet manifold off either, this is unnecessary unless you want to remove to clean etc. Finally... Good luck because you'll need it 😆

They told me yesterday mine are bad on the rear but the bolts are seized. I’m trying to work out cost before I make the call to the garage Tomorrow so I have a idea on replacing the bolts

1.9 tdi 2007. Bought with 20,000mls no got 168. Usual maitainance + door locks x2. Door wiring several times,wheel bearings, brake callipers don’t have s/s shims like the skoda’s do.!!. Wings are starting to bobble a bit, slight gearbox whine. But it’s never let me down. ! Oh and changing brake fluid helps keep the abs pump happy,!

Love my 2016 A3 2.0T Quattro, Premium Plus Trim. Had it 4.5 years (bought used at 49k, had always been a leased car). Right now my plugs and coil packs I just replaced myself due to misfire code. Other than that, I am now at 146k, and it has been trouble free. It's started making an engine noise recently, which hasn't impaired performance, but I do need to have that looked into. Consumes more oil than probably should, but part of that is my PCV module and breather hose needs replaced (which can cause increased loss of oil).

How's your 'new' armrest now; it looked to me not that far away from the one you took off it; don't they, almost all, suddenly go, crap? So a crack repair, vid, if that actually works, would be really helpful!?
