Everytime I start a job I’m amazed if there’s not a bolt seized, something stuck, damaged or the wrong size. Good feeling when you’ve done the job though, part of the fun I suppose. 😅
This is all excellent stuff: however just order new bushes; consider using 'MEYLE HD' (the HD is important, rather than e.g. Polyurethane, which are too rigid..)? Also order (stretch) bolts via a Febi supplier, def not Audi!
Lowered mine on racelands. Still needs tracking. Rear bushing gone so I've got both sides like you have just not fitted yet. Off in for k04,injectors,intercooler,clutch. So do it all at same time. Off in on the 9th
You saved me on that left side front control arm. Thank you Edit: if you don't have that type of ball joint tool a 19mm open ended wrench with a pipe works great
Ones easy enough just twist the carrier the other one there’s f all room. There’s vids on here one where a fella has a mirror to show the carrier and how it sits.
did you get any banging when hitting bumps with the broken control arm bushings? mine are f**ked and the cars been banging over bumps and wandering a little.
I have audi a3 2019 2.0tfsi quattro driven like 80k and the front end start to make a squeeling sound whenever I turn right or left at 10-40km speed or thru speedbumps etc.. is this normal? I think its the control arm rubber? I greesed them well and the sound left like for a day and it came back the next day..
Please please please use axle stands when working under your car. A neighbour was crushed by a camper van in similar circumstances. I've done it in the pas but it's not worth the risk.
Mate please please don’t ever Jack your car or put axle stands under on grass. It will kill you in the most horrific way. I’ve known 3 people who’ve died under vehicles by jacks or chocks or ground moving. Always use on flat hard surface. Preferably concrete. 👍🏻
Dude you really shouldn't jack up your car on grass. I was terrified for you while watching this video.

I feel a bit like that with every job I do, always something wrong haha

Good deal you showed the problem with the gearbox being in the way. Thank you much brother! 🙏
Just did my 09 8P rear main oil seal on jack stands! What a bear of a job! Looks good as a coupe!

Did the same job on my golf gti, used S3 rear bushing and Passat control arms (they are aluminium) as a little upgrade.
You saved me on that left side front control arm. Thank you

Can you do a video on how to change the headlight bulb?

@@Michael-pd4wu There is more to it, I think the front bumper has to come off or remove front wheel arches and access this way?
@@AA-dm1gl you can do it without by removing the wheel arch liner and a bit fiddling. Trust me it’s a lot less screws.
Did you change your rear subframe as it looks rusted to hell? they all seem to corrode hear badly on the A3's
Do u need to get a 4 wheel alignment after doin this cheers
If you can even get someone to adjust front Camber (compromising with Caster, which isn't as important) you're doing well! (I like the music btw).
Maybe bent wheels for the wheel wobble at speed?
after tracking and replacing these parts its gone away! thankfully... was worried as the wheel was my next guess

Hi there

Working under a car supported by a hydraulic trolley jack...with an axle stand to hand. 🙄

Dude. If youre gonna jack your car up on grass, use the freaking jackstand. Put it on a paver or a board too. Please and thanks.
