There is so many different clutch kits for these cars but after speaking with some tuning experts.... there was one that seemed to top the rest.

great video mate I got a stage 2 mk5 Gti and got a 5 paddle clutch kit with the stock pressure plate and it is sh1t it holds the power but is super hard to get into reverse and being a paddle clutch there's no slip. It has been a expensive mistake I have been looking for a better clutch combo this vid was perfect timing.

My GTi has got a stage 1 Rtec map on it, sadly the clutch has started to slip, which is to be expected with 102k on the clock. The upgraded clutch would be a good think to do, so I'd better get saving!!

Would of loved to see the old parts as well but get they didn’t want you filming at their place
I've got this exact clutch kit (MK2 TTRS Hybrid Clutch Kit) fitted on my 2016 1.8TSI Polo GTI, it was also fitted by MidlandVW. From memory I believe it's rated for around 400-440 ft/lb of torque...

Literally same as stock mate, cant feel a difference whatsoever
Would you not be able to fit the RTS performance clutch?
The RTS doesn't have a great reputation and is generally advised to avoid.
@@cakelover8517 I have had one of them on my S3 8p and worked great but I was only on a stage 1 and I guess other people may have had bad experiences
tbf £1400 isnt that bad for a clutch change
It's terrible. Any person with jackstands & halfords tool set can change a clutch.

Mate it's just the plate you need. Any half decent reputable garage can fit it for a fraction of this cost! Flywheel and pressure is already there unless there fucked.
