...I bought his book and met him at a bike show a few years ago - but sadly his condition has got a lot worse in recent years. It wasn't 'drugs' - it was a very badly planned stunt which was set up at the Bulldog Bash by someone that didn't understand that 'landing on an uphill slope' will greatly increase the impact on landing - and Eddie hit his head and was knocked out ...then tumbled over a 20 foot drop. He'd assessed the stunt beforehand , and expressed his concerns ...but agreed to go ahead as he'd planned on laying the bike down after landing to avoid the drop , and he didn't want to let down the hundreds of people there - BUT as he was knocked out , he couldn't do this and the bike carried on and he dropped over the edge of the hill and fell 20 feet onto his neck . He is looking to get a communicating device like the one Hawking had , to 'speak' again , and it's sad that his 'friends' have seemingly deserted him , as he says in the book....

The memories from this video really hit the heart strings. It was a great time in my life and it was fun to see all these moments and faces once again. Hope all is well Dan :)

Eddie Kidd and Robbie knievel and his dad were true sportmans and had no fear of taking a motorcycle and jumping the bike at great distances and if they crashed that's the risks of the job all 3 are the best of what they achieved
