Thank you :-) I have to be honest I really struggle with RUclips now. Has lost it's sparkle in comparison to a year or so back. I should probably stop living in the past haha. Plus the enduro stuff has been most important to me in the last year, it's a very odd feeling to want to be good at something and feeling that you possibly can be in an average kind of way. I struggle with road riding now also, after a couple of near misses the wife and kids are always there in the back of my mind.

thanks Tom, the bike came with TKC80's so i will persist with them until there used up and try something else after that, tkc's felt fine on road but single track offroad stuff was horrible, gravel tracks etc are fine, i probably shouldn't be using the 690 for single track stuff though i guess haha, thanks for the advice, it's very much appreciated

Cool stuff. I think a thumper is much better for this kind of riding because of it's more predictable and controllable power, especially in hard turns and going up hills. Be safe on the trail.

im not much riding in the mud, but it looks like a blast all the same. nice video man :) any time you challenge yourself to try newer harder things is a good time. makes me wanna get my bike back together and get out there!

Haha yes. They do a lot of Desert Rallies hence the name. Nice spot though, does seem a bit of an odd name when you look at where we are riding.

cont. The interesting thing about the shinko's is the fact they bought the molds from Yokohama tyre corp when they quit making tyres. If your old scholl like me you will remember those Yokohama's, Couldn't kill em! I haven't been able to find out if they also bought the "recipe" for the compounds. I figure this winter I will get the TKC's again. as they work the best in snow. This seems to be the holy Grail for us to find!! I will keep you appraised on how the Grail goes! hope this helps.

I have a lot of different feelings on tyres. The Conti TKC-80's are fantastic, However only last about 5k miles. Then I tried the Mich. T-63's Harder compound, but the Mileage on the street is about the same. Now I am shifting to the Shinko 700 series. They are a 60/40 Tire. I have about 1K on the rear. Its doing Pretty good. Prolly suck in the snow though! LOL!! cont.

Pffft whateva! I checked out and sat on some brand spankin new KTM's and Yammy's today. Brought back memories and made me realize how much of an investment getting dirty is. Maybe, just maybe though ;)

Your struggles are understandable especially where family is concerned. It's probably greed on my part to say but you can still record and upload your successes and failures with the enduro rides! :D But which ever you choose to do or not is probably for you and your families best. But also know that you have youtube mates worldwide that think about the "DANthemanMOTO73" hahaha
