I watched this video before I had a youtube account and could not comment. now that I can comment I came back here to tell you it was a great tour and made lol several times.

Great video. Very clever with the editing. Loved the countryside. One of the things I like about the youtube thing is learning about other parts of the world as shown by a motorcycle person.
@danmoto73 OK I think I see where my confusion started. That is A white horse, not THE white horse. Seems as carving images into hillsides is more common than I thought. Another aspect is this is the better part of 30 years ago, and it's not ceramic. It's carved wood.. *sigh*

@transdetendal What seems to happen here is either people get smaller cars or keep the gas hog and drive less. Either way, its fewer single passenger F350 pickups on the road to run you over.
isn't there a pretty famous ceramics place around there? they put white mice(or something like it) on every thing they make?

Yes, the countryside is lovely and those towns are so full of quaintness that it almost looks like Disney World.
An important part of looking quaint are the wee little roads, or as we here in the US like to call them, single lane roads. Yet you British not only manage 2 lanes of traffic on them, but you let people park on the side as well. Amazing.

@danmoto73 At £1.30 a liter is equal to $7.70 a gallon (US). Apparently there are US gallons and Imperial gallons with 1 US gallon = .832 Imperial gallons. Shit, kind of makes me want to adopt the metric system just for the simplicity of it.
Here (Texas) diesel fuel is higher than gasoline. The bio alt here is just running SVO (straight veggie oil). With our temps you don't have to worry too much with the oil jelling. Temp is running 98f (36c) today.
@dahveed284 I think he meant that we would have to pay 2.40 in US dollars to get a liter of gas in England with the exchange. That works out to nearly 10 dollars a gallon. I would have to pay about 300 dollars to fill the tank in my pick up truck. About 1200 dollars a month in gas. It's around 80 percent tax in most parts of Europe.

@jimbo80982 is that for a liter. I purchased gas here for $3.44 a gallon. According to my calc, thats a $0.90 a liter

@transdetendal I have there are 3.785 liters per US gallon. At 13 kr a litter, I get $2.48 US a liter or $9.39 a gallon (US). If gas was that here, I'd might be buying a smaller motorcycle...

@danmoto73 that makes to be $5.35 per Gallon. I expected it to be a little worse to be honest with you, but I would still not like to fill up my 25 gallon truck just to waste it at 16mpg

but id love for there to be more bikes than cars on the roads but people like cars too much because they are "oh so protective" and "oh so practical"

@cashstore1 NOT imperial gallons its only 3,5 liters the cost is 13 kr a liter, a pound is 8 kr ,a dollar is 5 kr so you can more accuratly do the math
