This song is brilliant! There seems to be no limit to The Warning's talent. And so versatile. They are excellent musicians. They write their own music and I haven't found a bad song yet. They take total command of the stage during live performances. And they are so young! My favorite Warning song isn't even a rocker although they do a rock version. "When I'm Alone," I first saw Dany perform with an acoustic guitar. The words really got to me. And to think she wrote it when she was 15 years old and away from home for an extended period. Remarkable!

Ale usually sings low but can go high if she needs to. Same with Pau, usually mid and high, but can also go low. They mix it up. Ale's mic volume is usually too low, for some reason.

Preemptive Revenge

One OK Rock (OOR) has said their MV are invitations to watch their live performances, so I highly recommend if you want to join us down the OOR rabbit hole, please lean towards their live stuff, especially from their Ambitions and Luxury Disease tours. Please keep reacting to their songs. For example, OOR composed a song, "We Are", during the year that Japan lowered the voting age from 20 to 18. Many young adults were anxious about this change and NHK (Japanese television) solicited videos from thousands of 18 year old kids to help OOR perform the song live during the annual 18Fes (18 Year Olds Festival). This performance hit my feels so hard, it still makes me cry when I watch it.

My favorite reactors are the ones who understand and give us insight into how the artists do what they do. Well done Sir.

Re: their toruing equipment. Sometimes they transport their own stuff. Sometimes they rent equipment. Their usual touring equipment is a Mesa cabinet with 4-10 inches speakers for Dany with an Orange pre-amp head. Ale usually tours with an Ampeg (loving called "the fridge" by roadies) cabinet which has 8-10 inch speakers and an Orange pre-amp head. At their live performances they usually route their audio through the front-of-house speaker system and only use their stage equipment to fill in sound for the first few rows of the audience (and for them to have the feel of the music on the stage). At home in their basement studio that we all call The Warning Cave, they have Orange amps and heads. So, since this was recorded in LA, it could be their equipment brought from home, but more likely it was either supplied by Orange as they are recognized as Orange artists, or they rented the equipment, or the equipment might have been what the show provides. A lot of different possibilities. Re: Band-Maid and The Warning - I agree with you that each band had to adjust their style in the collab. B-M is a lot more Metal than TW that tends to be Hard Rock. But both bands incorporate a number of Rock genres into their sound, so they are adaptable. That is why the collab worked well. Also, Kanami is more prone to shredding than Dany. Although Dany can shred, she tends to favor a more David Gilmour style of solo (when she solos). TW usually don't incorporate solos into their music, limiting it to only when it suits the song. B-M tends have feature each of their member's skill sets with solos in several of their songs. I also think the age difference of the bands' members matters, as B-M is roughly ten years older than TW, so they are more mature as individuals. However, each band has over ten years of experience as a band. I personally prefer TW's style of music over B-M's but I appreciate the level of talent both bands offer and I enjoy watching both bands do their thing.

This isn't their typical sound LOL, imo I Miss the Misery is one of their worst songs (though I still really enjoy it). Their newer stuff is FAR better. "Back From the Dead" is an incredible album, and like others have said, their Wembley concert is insane. Hope you try out a bit more! But glad you enjoyed this for the most part!

I'm a bit late to ONE OK ROCK PARTY myself and I slap myself for that every day. I'm also neurodivergent myself so I love playing this song it has so much meaning behind it for me. You need to react to Might Long Fall, Liar & Cry Out. I highly suggest listening to these live versions.

Excellent reaction! You can choose basically anything from Nightwish, and can’t get it wrong! One of my favorites is “The Song of Myself” from this same Wacken concert.

The reason it has a pop feel is because it's from an album written for the second singer, Anette Olzon who was a pop singer and couldn't sing the middle operatic part. For something metal with a much higher note from Floor and a short lead guitar break try Romanticide at this same Wacken concert. This is a massive rabbit hole without Floor's solo work, guest appearances with Evergrey, Soilwork, Ayreon, Star One, Avantasia, MaYan, Delain, plus her earlier bands, After Forever, ReVamp and Northward.

She's the godsend creature who causes chills upon chills whenever SHE wants, it's like she's holding/releasing the button, it's unreal. Out of this world, in any aspect.

You mentioned pitch correcting. I watched an audio engineer analyze this performance. He showed examples of what pitch correcting looks like in an audio waveform. Then he showed the waveform of Floor singing here. It is obviously _not_ pitch corrected. There are natural imperfections that are to be expected in an uncorrected waveform, but her pitch for the vast majority of each note is dead-on. Hail the Queen of Metal (and the reigning Queen of Music IMHO).
