@@fitnessfreedomathletes Apologies, autocorrect there. What i mean is the Vastus Lateralis and Medialis specifically, but I understand that the full leg workout is needed! I just know its those 2 muscles that keep the knee in place (protection against dislocation) so I need to increase the mass of them considering I've teared my MPFL.

how many days a week would you do a workout like this?Impressive work.
Hey there, I'd recommend at least 2 days off after doing a workout like this if you're used to that level. Maybe some light cardio in-between. If you're new to it, you may need up to 3-4 days off for the muscles to fully recover. This will get less as you get used to the demands of the workout.

Hi Adam I've been following your videos. After multiple injuries I've entirely stopped lifting weights.. would like to know, how effective is TRX?. I certainly feel the burn while working out with TRX my muscles go tired after 10-15 lifts. Here's a question do you train till failure or after 8-10 reps per set.
Sorry to hear about your injuries but glad you've found a way to workout with a TRX. In answer to your question, the TRX is as effective as you make it, which comes down to technique. Yes I train to failure if I'm following that type of Program. I rotate between training to failure and high volume close to failure.

You mentioned one meal a day without carbs, but at the end you mentioned so the carbohydrates can feed your muscles after the work out. Is it two meals, one without carbs and the end of the day contains carb?

Have been RUclipsing for the past month for an answer to my question, I'm insulin resistant, joined a guy, trained different muscle groups 3 times a week. On one meal a day most of the days. Very low carb diet and high protein. A month later, I lost 3KG, but 0.8 from muscle mass. How can I retain and grow muscle while loosing fat?
That's some awesome results nice one! It's all about your nutrition and training to retain muscle when dieting, it can be a challenge but if you stay strict to a plan through the diet phase, you can do a good job. There's more to being healthy, strong, fit and a an overall machine of a human than gaining some muscle. Sure you can build muscle with this, but suspension training has much more valuable attributes than muscle growth. Its training your core, stability, its portable, its functional and super quick and easy for the same results as weights and is far better for your joints as it moves in more realistic ranges of motion that you use in the real world

You can’t do any of these exercises if you have a weak shoulders and actually you might hurt yourself, train smart people!
Personally I disagree. When you’re in full control of an exercise, you won’t hurt yourself. Out of curiosity, which phases of the exercises do you think load the shoulder muscles?

Hi Adam! Don't want to be rude or pushy, but can you give us a video in which you talk about weekend splits? I dont know if I should start a PPL ( first push - chest focused second push - shoulders focused) . Or fullbody.
it depends on your fitness level and time schedule. No matter which workout you choose if you can't stick to your workout, you will not make gains. If you can train consistently for 3 days every week, it is better than 6 days that you can't stick with.

Then work up to PUSH LEG PULL

Overloading the joint not the muscle. Improves with practice and technique. You may be making the exercise too hard, try reducing the angle and focus more on that top squeeze
Thanks Adam. I recall in a previous video you also mentioned having the wrist bent away from the body to further emphasise the bicep. That has certainly worked for me.

Hey adam.. I would like to understand this, as I'm planning to take one of your programs. When we lift weights, suppose the bench presses, then the load comes through the weight which we lift.. however I've seen during suspension training there's constant tension throughout the workout. However the load is less, then how does it lead to growth? Isn't it that the chances of progressive overload is less to zero with TRX. Or suspension training doesn't require progressive overload?. Kindly guide me on this...

For those who say that push-ups doesnt work i will say this : they work, BUT while doing standard push up you push 67% of yourbody weight. While doing the ring/ trx push up, the instability makes the exercise more difficult and challenging. After a while you gain endurance for push ups but cant see growth. Ofc you can do harder variations like decline or one arm and frow your chext until a certain point. I think Adam ia talking about the standard one.

Intermittent fasting is great if it suits your health and fitness goal and lifestyle, personally I prefer 48 hour fasts every 2 months, but that suits my fitness goal and lifestyle. RE: The wonderful world of insulin - I have read the research, yes. Then tested it on my own body for years, then spent 10 years with clients transforming their bodies ( fitnessfreedomathletes.com/reviews/ & uk.trustpilot.com/review/fitnessfreedomathletes.com )... However, I would advise challenging everything that anyone says online by doing your own research and application so see what works for you. Even better, get mentors (this helped me advance a lot). Even research papers tend to be full of fluff with a hidden agenda.
Excellent video mate. I have a question, when I do this exercise i feel my shoulders a lot and barely feel my chest. Is this because my shoulders are weaker or is something off with my form?
It's the form...check the video again, try to push down,squeeze your chest.
First comment nails it, sounds like you're pushing forward a bit too much, push down and bring your elbows together.

Adam what's your views on just using time as a measure instead of sets/reps? So far with my suspension training I've always done reps/sets but recently I've done a few purely band workouts, doing each exercise for 1 set for 45s and couldn't believe how effective it was, going all out getting as many reps in as possible which means you naturally end up doing dropsets and partials in that time limit. Am going to try it with my suspension workouts.
Love those all out sets to get the blood pumping and crush the muscle. From my experience, the ultimate metric is time under tension, how you manipulate that to achieve it is where the fun comes in. There's a time and a place to pull all levers depending on Programming. It's definitely another lever to use to shock the body.

Can see it'll be good for technique, no counting just pure concentration and effort until you hear the time up beep. Was a pain but finally found a training app which supports time based sets with automatic rest periods.
What strap length do you use for this and other leg exercises? Thanks.
Close to fully shortened for these, it varies on all exercises depending on height and arm length. Find what length allows you to connect with the muscle and do the full ROM, that's the right length 💪
