i got a electric blue , and 4 common reds , the reds are so much more aggresive towards anything that gets close to them , killed both corydoras first day the blue will only eat whats already dead (they are not in the same tank) but right now i got my blue in a tank with a Panther crab , and guppies , the reds are in a pond with a turtle and a few golds

Hi I have a 5g tank that’s not your normal five gal it has the base and length of a 10g has lots of space.. is that good for a crayfish? My LFS said it would be fine as long as I do 1-2 water changes every week

deffo gonna keep this in mind. i recently acquired a turtle that a coworker couldnt take care of any longer and i have a vanilla lobster that i've had for about a year now, i've been thinking of putting the crayfish in the (very much bigger) new turtle tank. i'm trying to figure out the best items to use (that are natural looking) that provide shelter for the crayfish. there's some minnows and cheap goldfish in the tank already and the turtle seems to be leaving them alone (for the moment).

I have a 1.2m tank with 6 in yes they do have a small fight boom crash but seldom serious so yes U can just give lotsa space to hide don't put more then like 6 in a 1.2m

Bro my Cray fish had just molted but the other smaller one just started a fight and had chopped a hole in the head of the molted one .

I just cleaned the rocka with some bleach and soap and put it in, ive been using the same rocks for very l9ng and it wasnt a problem. Thanks for the tips though

Had my one amongst 10 piranha and an albino pleco. Occasionally he would climb up the drift wood I had in ther and would swipe for the piranha. Had it that way for close to 2 years and the worst that ever happened was the piranha pecked off his claws. But for the most part he thrived on the left over food from the piranha

We ordered 10 juvenile crayfish and what's happening is they are constantly moulting and hiding. I think they've burrowed because they are nowhere to be seen in the tank anymore! I'm worried that they died and got eaten by little snails. Either way it's disappointing that we can't see them. Makes me wish I didn't add pebbles and substrates because it's hard to know if there's babies in it

I thought shrimps are not suitable as food for crayfish? I read somewhere said it has bacteria that is risky for crayfish. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

what species are yours? mine are supposedly clarkii but some are turning blue from being in a blue tank. i think ebay has lots of middlemen who don't actually know what they're selling
