For the alignment can you just change the angle on the miter to match the blade?

Will the camper be a solo sleeper? I ask because of the orientation of the popup. Like what you have come up with so far.

I have the same alignment problem. Very frustrating. Should have taken care by the manufacturer.

Dang, this is the best looking home build camper...BY FAR. It looks downright professionally designed and made. Also, I suspect with the proven 80/20 frame, it's amongst the best with regards to strength and durability vs weight vs the other home builds and the modular flexibility offered by building with 80/20 can't be matched. Really really nice work !

Too bad, you could have used the holes in the aluminium to run screws into a piece of wood so make it easy to hang on to the aluminium just my thoughts

First of all, anyone tell you, you look like Chuck Norris? I bought this table myself but my saw is corded. Along time ago I started with Makita but I didn't have good luck with their batteries. Then my wife ordered me Milwaukee, well they never showed up and I waited along time, so i bought Dewalt because Lowe's was running a big sale on them. I'm still with Dewalt, not all of my batteries say Dewalt but they are compatability is right on and cheaper. Everyone i know oh how great Milwaukee is, maybe. I also have adapters to run Dewalt batteries on other brands. I have an old 18 volt jig saw that I use 20 volt batteries with and it's been running great.

Makes me really nervous for you.. with all the washboards in the country, this should be welded for safety and keeping square in the long run

Awesome build!! I'm trying to design an 8020 camper and was wondering if you had any tips and suggestions for materials for leak proofing the camper?

Don’t necessarily figure it out yourself. Space concerns have been worked out dozens of times by companies. They should be able to show you a 90% complete what is possible idea. Not that you can’t vary things but it may allow you to experience things….

LOVE, LOVE 80/20! I'm it's biggest promoter. However, it's WAY too heavy for a camper. Looks great but off-road that mass will be scary.

I'm curious why you chose to connect the 8020 with plates as opposed to double anchor fasteners? Would love to hear your opinion and pros and cons. I've never actually used any of the products. Thanks again for your wealth of knowledge and sharing your experience.

Been watching this series. So cool! This should really have a lot more views. I have an old 95 chevy K1500. Almost impossible to find a good camper shell/bed camper that doesnt need a ton of work. I dont need a big ol popup. But, its inspired me to build my own. Ive only recently found out what 8020 actually is...but it looks so useful! Thank you so much! :)

Take the whole setup to the landfill and drive over their scale. Get your weight. Then weigh again without it. Or vice versa. Truck stops and scrap yards will also have scales but will cost a little bit to weigh.

Let me start off by saying that I really appreciate the time, effort and energy you are putting into these videos. You have actually given me a couple of things to consider about my build. But, I totally understand explaining ideas and philosophy. But 7 videos (70+ minutes) to finally get to installing the first piece. Right now I am 1 minute and 29 seconds into this video... I can only wonder how long it will take you to get to attaching the upright pieces. Like I said, I really do appreciate it! Cheers

Troy, we wondered if you hinged the roof to 7-12 pitch from side to side then creat a like hinging section of roof on the opposite side? Finally found some 80/20. $359 for 1.5x3 12 ft long plus shipping. I'll just buy a used camper. I'm all about diy but by the time I get all the aluminum I need I'll be into it about 2500

Nice vids. I know your frustration that a retail market for honeycomb panels does not seem to have developed, yet. I wonder if there are tech minded watchers of this channel who could help in the development of a new kind of 'buyer's cooperative' that can organize purchases of a truckload of honeycomb panels to be delivered to a major city at a specified weekend, so that a number of makers can get together and save on shipping (and not have markups).

will water get in between the tail gate and the back door? or is there a seal of some kind? love the multiple windows
