The question is to buy or build, I chose build. Building an overland pop-up truck camper or a pickup pop up as I like to call it. The plan is to have it act like a wedge camper as well as a full pop up. Not doing the vanlife or trucklife so the camper needs to be able to come on and off. It also needs come apart to store in a small space.
    More info will be here:

List of all dimensions and materials coming later with the same link
If you need a link to anything about the build, just leave a comment and I will get it added.

Some great ideas! I’ve wanted to do a pop up that’s not a wedge but doesn’t have canvas sides. Hinged on the ends like most with hard sides you can fold up on each side.

Some really interesting ideas! I’m looking to build something slightly similar to your 80/20 camper, could you email me any parts lists/dimensions for your build? Would be an amazing help! I have a 2016 Tacoma with a 6’ bed as well

I wish I kept track of the weight and cost. Not sure how much I have in for the 8020. I will be posting a list of all the materials I used soon so I should be able to calculate the cost. Keep an eye on the descriptions below the videos. I will put a link there when I post it.

Still prototyping and experimenting. Don't have all the sizes down yet. Here is where I am going to put everything: campproject.com/camp/camperbuild/camperbuild_parts
