Going in blind hardcore is amazing. would love to experience that again. (hardcore is 1 life. game over on death. Normal survival mode lets you keep playing with some minor penalties)

How I loved this experience in 2011!

I really loved playing this one when it came out.. The World and vibe was soo good. I tried playing Wildlands last year but I couldn't get into it like the original. I'll have to give it another try this year. The combat in the original feels better to me, but maybe it's all in my head and the combat is the same on both games??

It's always blown my mind how video game characters never have thunder thighs. You make them crouch and duck walk for miles and they never complain about their legs being on fire and never reaching muscle failure.

The Skyrim ones are funny too.

As far as I know, if you sabotage the genophage cure, and you saved the Rachni, you can see the Rarchni on Tuchanka instead of Krogan.

Fun Fact: That girl's picture you see in everyone's locker in wrecks was actually supposed to be you, the player. Then they scrapped the idea and went with male Riley instead. For a long time i thought she was the "Ana De Armas" of this universe 🤪

Friendly advice: Always always always take the sea glide. Yes it takes up 6 inventory slots but it's worth every penny so to speak. You never wanna give up that speed and mobility and you can't collect resources or scan things from inside the seamoth. I'd also recommend making and having at least 1 if not 2 spare batteries and 1 spare power cell on you at all times.

One more thing: if you want to avoid spoilers, I'd recommend you ignore any time capsules you might encounter during the rest of the playthrough. A time capsule contains a screenshot and items from potentially any stage of the game, thus giving you access to information or materials you might not have obtained yet through regular gameplay. The one capsule you've recovered showed a picture of the Mountain Island that you've just discovered by yourself during this episode, so you're all caught up now.

I noticed that u missed a PDA and just a heads up when it comes to areas that look important NO SPOILERS. Unless u plan on going back to a location for whatever reson make sure u take a VERY good look around and inside the location becouse it is possable to softlock the story progression if u happen to miss some things and the game wont tell u if u missed them. The things will always remain there if u missed them so u can never hardlock yourself. 21:40 No the Seaglide map is really hard to use. They made it alot easier to use in Subnautica Below Zero.

I´m sure someone have already answered this but incase not. No the worlds material do not respawn but there is ALOT!!!!! more of it then your ever gonna need. Sure if u only look for materials within a small area then its gonna be harder to find more but your never gonna run out. Even so there are buildable options to help find things as u progress.

33:05 there's a way for the pda to tell you how far away you are from some locations... ;-) 52:04 that's a neat QoL feature they have, use depleted batteries for crafting. i think your other one was used up for the Laser Cutter. :-) 58:53 you should, iirc it works the same way as the seaglide. And fwiw you misread that max depth value at 58:47. @-) PS Now i'm curious... which one is the flipped view, the one at 0:01 or the one at 1:42:11? 🧐

Quick tip: You can name your lockers, by pointing at the text you should have a prompt to do so. Maybe you don't need it yet, but eventually this will prove very useful when organizing your items in a more durable base. ::)

After watching this episode all I can say is...Not sure what dark arts you are using but you are swimming about blissfully unaware meanwhile I'm having a small panic attack XD 34:43 - 36:00 Then the jump into the dark water below at 48:00 Needless to say your playthough is quite something with how it's progressing and the timing and I'm all for it :)

This was fun but showed me several spoilers as I am exploring Aurora too right now, my fault I know, but I don't mind as some frustration was setting in, and now I have some more leads to follow. Looking forward to more of this and HZDR...

Ohhh, it's Aurora time! Nice to see you're finally able to explore the belly of the beast. As is hinted at in the first PDA transcript you found on board, getting in and out is significantly easier if you're carrying a propulsion cannon, but it seems you're doing just fine by hopping and jumping around. Don't be surprised to hit a dead end at some point, though. By the way: if you want to exact revenge on those pesky Cave Crawlers, the propulsion cannon is your friend. 😃 I'd recommend keeping the Seaglide with you at all times. It will help in exploring the area surrounding wherever you park your Seamoth, and crucially, gets you back inside in time to take a breath. Swimming up to the surface is not always an option (cue foreboding music)...

There is so much in the auroa. I normally have to maake a few trips to get everything.

The Seaglide is still useful when you want to go to places that are deeper than the Seamoth can go. But since going back to the base with the Seamoth is very fast, I find it better to just always have two beacons on me, so I can mark an interesting spot I want to explore and quickly go to the base the get the Seaglide if I need it. Saves a lot of inventory space.

If you are playing on pc you can hit F1 and will bring up an overlay that has coordinates. The over lay shows up in screenshots. I had to use that a few times to find things if i didn't have a beacon on me.

You can find all 4 Parts for the PawnSuit in the Bay, along with a Module, and Yes it is a lot more there to explore in the Aurora, the Code for the Captains Cabin is not there, dont bother to search for it

I love your Playthrough, you read all the PDA-Data in Time , search thoroughly , and dont cramp the Inventory. My inner Monk is pleased 😉 You are the First One i see, who get in the Aurora without a Proulsion.Canon, just with jumping over the obstacles. Your Clear pronunciation, helps a lot too, it is easier to understand for me as a German. I look forward to the next Subnautica-Videos 😊

You can carry 2 air tanks for Deaper dives and swap them out under water

My only suggestion is to make the Air Bladder in the tools section of the fabricator. It will suite your playstyle and ease exploration of the red grass regions.

Very enjoyable watching you progress through the game. Exploring the Aurora almost feels like an overdose of progress, but please don't feel shy of showing us less or slower progress, should it come to that. Playing this game is not about completing a race but about the experience of it. And we are privileged that you share yours with us.

1:21:28 You could have eaten that peeper as soon as you cooked it without wasting the food. A neat mechanic exclusive to hunger is that you can overeat once! As long as your hunger is less than 100, you get the full benefit of the food, unlike water which does cap out at 100. This means you can have 174 food if you eat a nutrient block at 99 hunger.
