Absolutely! Probably the best storytelling in a very long time. The lore drops were fantastic and always had me drooling for more info and then bam! Stunners. Right to the End.
I started playing this game this summer, but somehow got distracted and never went back after 4-6 hours in. You make me want to pick it up and play along. Don't think i'll be able to match your cosplay though, well done!
Welcome to the Horizon-verse. The world building is exceptional. The story is the best I've ever experienced (full disclosure...I'm NOT a gonzo gamer...but this game totally captured me). Enjoy the journey as you piece together what happened to "our" world. I look forward to your next session. Great cos-play (I would love to have made my grand-daughter 6 year old Aloy for Halloween...maybe next year). Peace

HZD is honestly the only game I wish I could re-experience for the first time. It's exceptionally rare for a game's story to captivate me like it's did.

I fondly remember playing this game back in 2017 when it first released. I hope you'll have as much fun playing as I did then. Oh and I love the Aloy cosplay!
Loved this! I hope you do all the side quests; in this beginning area they help you practice many of the skills for the rest of the game, and once you're out in the full world there's so many interesting characters to meet and help. Side quests will also take you basically across the whole map, whereas the main quest will only go to specific places. Some handy tips: if it gets annoying after a while, you can turn off the pick up animations as you're gathering health and wood. Also, when you see a datapoint to scan, there's a little cube shape on the compass at the top of the screen. It only shows up when you're close to a datapoint, so it's not like you can see them coming a mile off, but when you're in an enclosed space like the ruin at the beginning, its really helpful in not missing any. Hope you keep up with this series, it's my favourite game and the way the story unfolds is amazing. Great vid!

I play different video games since more than 4 decades, but no game captivated me like this and the sequel. It got me from the first moment and never let me go. I really couldn‘t wait to get further in the story, discover more and more of its secrets. But I also took the time for the side quests, errands and for the exploration of the beautiful world. I played this for the first time recently and by the end, it jumped to my top 5 of my most favorites. This game is really really good. I hope you enjoy it like I did. Aloy is precious and I love her rebellious streak, heh.
And also references/symbology. Aloy is an amalgamation (alloy) of the old and new worlds/ways. Rost is very conservative, and stuck in the old ways, ( like rusted stuck..)

Not only is your cosplay on point, your face matches Aloy's so well it almost becomes uncanny xD As for the game itself, I've given it a go myself, but the gameplay failed to capture me, so I dropped it. Following along with this series is gonna be nice!
There is a setting in the menu for disabling pick-up animations. This was part of the sequel but never originally in the first game, but they included it in the remaster. It is a great quality of life improvement.
Oh I'm glad to hear the option is in the first game now! I'm planning on playing it again now that it's been remastered, and I remember being so grateful that the second game had the option to turn it off lol
The game is a masterclass in sci-fi story telling with character and heart as well as an enthralling origin story for our fierce red headed hero. It was my favorite game on the PS4. As awesome as this game is overall the followup Forbidden West was even better. Buckle your seatbelts for this wondrous journey.
It looks good but the lip animation looks patchy e.g. 1:06:25 "Are you worrying about what happens after the proving?" She doesn't make the W month shape IMHO. It would take a significant effort do fix all of Aloy's lines but if they were going to remaster the game, this a bare minimum standard.
Do the side quests. They're mostly great, and add a ton of character to the world. Plus there are some great characters that might pop up here and there in the future.
Best Game EVER! Seriously its in my top 4 games. Do all the quests.😃 I did anyway. You gain experience and get stronger so its wise to do them especially if you start struggling with tougher critters.
I've never played this game, but it is on my list. I only watched the intro, read a few comments and I fell this could be a really good game. Sadly I can't watch your playthrough, because I don't want any spoliers, so when I finally get to play it, I can enjoy all the suprises. Have fun! :)
Currently still watching. As of this comment, I'm at Aloy's first kill. I've always liked how Rost emphasized what he told her. "Even a weak machine can kill a hunter. If SHE'S careless."
Exploration is key in this game. Some of the side quests are hidden away more than others. But that is not a bad thing, since it's such a beautiful game with a story that will suck you in.
Ouuuuu I loved this games story when it came out! It really got looked over because Legend Of Zelda came out like a month later 🤣 but I loved the narrative! Hope you do too

You're relying a bit too much on the stealth. What you really need to learn is to shoot accurately and dodge against multiple enemies. I don't know if they changed this in the remaster, but in the original the weapons tutorials won't count as complete unless they're the active quest when you do their goals. They should provide some early XP.
Is your hair naturally that red? I promise I'm not criticizing. I'm just saying...JAYSUS, with that getup, you are a spitting image of what I see in my mind's eye of what Aloy looks like in the really real world.

Please, for the love of God, attach a controller. The rapid camera jerking from keyboard control makes the video extremely hard to watch. The game is perfectly playable with a controller as it was designed for that. Good video though. Looking forward to this (if motion sickness from rapid keyboard camera control doesn't get me).
Please, for the love of the all-mother, stop asking keyboard+mouse players to use a controller. The game is just as well playable with m+k, done it myself, seen others do it. If you don't like the "jerking" camera movements of her mouse (it's that, btw, not her keyboard that controls the camera panning), what do you think how the camera movement will be if she starts using a controller now? If she's anything like me, the camera will be a lot more jerky and especially unprecise. So it would not only be a worse visual experience for you, but also a worse gameplay experience for all of us.

I knew most of the backstory and twists before playing the game and it’s still awesome, the world building is just that cool.
