Star Citizen, 3 19, Vanguard Comparison
Cool video - sadly they got like ten times more expensive now. Its like 150k aUEC now (still very cheap - but takes a bit more effort then tweo bunker missions) What exactly did you mean with reloading the missle racks, was this not possible before? You mean at a spawn point or your hangar? Or in the field?
Yeah, my in-game pricing did not age well for my older videos! In the older builds before they added the ability to move components and vehicle weapons with a tractor beam, you couldn't reload out in the field. You could only reload at a hangar or Platinum Bay location. With the current game build you can throw a bunch of spare missiles in a 4scu crate, haul that in a second vehicle like the new Argo truck (I can't remember the name atm) and reload manually from that. I'm really liking the functionality of these additional vehicles, and how they add to the value of previous vehicles.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 How would you extract the missles from the SCU Container? I filled some S1 missles in a box, I can access the box, but can get them out. Game states, that you can only drop items to the ground if you can carry them :/
@@eyesofheimdall6510 Also how to fire the damn missles of the MT in the first place. Missle mode wont work with or without target lock. Any ideas?
ah, I'll be honest here, I've not been able to play-test some of this. So you are more than likely correct. And to answer your other comment below, I haven't used the Cyclone for combat since 3.19ish so I don't want to speak out of turn with the changes from MM. (I know its a cop out, but I do strive for honesty!) In the pre-MM days, you used the missiles from the passenger seat for the AA version, and from the Turret for the MT.
I really wish they would give the titan the gold treatment...it can be such a great ship with a few addons. My first ship and loved it!...till i got the corsair lol. Still take her out for quick missions.
The Titan is still my all around favorite, tho the C1 Spirit is close behind. It's just got the perfect balance for me. Functionality, looks, and a short claim time. The Corsair is cool, I've been flying it a bit more than usual lately, and I really like the elevator, I know its an odd thing, but I like the short time to the cockpit.
Never had a problem getting anything in with the tractor beam.
I'm more than willing to admit that it might just be that I'm old and stubborn, and like most people that are old and stubborn, new technology confounds me!
The one thing I don’t like about the c1 and the mercury is only having one entrance and exit
That is a valid complaint. It hasn't been a problem for me yet, but I'm sure at some point it will come up in game. To be honest, for some reason, the C1 just doesn't seem to be targeted by piracy as often as my other cargo moving ships. It might just be luck of the draw, but I haven't been attacked by pirates once in it.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 don’t do drug running lol 😂 they will come after that
I normally do that in a Cutty Black for the speed of loading through all three doors! But, duly noted!
Great video!
Thanks!
If you are up for the risk of unsecured cargo, there is just enough space between the two cargo areas to fit a third 32SCU bin, for a total of 96SCU
I hadn't messed with that, but that is really good to know!
I like the whole vibe you're doing with but man you gotta pick your intro lighting better it's all dark and all
Your right for sure. After reading this, I went back and watched it on a different screen than I recorded on, and it was very noticeable. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
There's one more thing the c1 has that the other ships don't, on the bulkhead you can store 2 ptv's/stv or a mule and still have the space clear for your cargo. I usually carry an stv in the ship , need it or not it's there and i can still carry cargo or do a bunker or missions. if there's a 32scu cargo that might not fit or i don't want the trouble i just tractor beam the stv out put the cargo in and put the stv in again easy.
That is a pretty handy idea, for sure! Hadn't occurred to me to try that. Thanks for sharing!
I have a pledged C1. Was using it for many multiroles. In 3.22 i used it for VHRT's with Ballistic Cannons. Was able to get the illegal cargo from the VHRT missions. Since Master Modes the ship has become useless. It can't take any hits at all. Its like paper and shields are useless. Adding a second shield Gen might medigate the issue there. Also wish u could swap the tractor beam for a remote turret. Nothing too crazy. 2 Size 2 guns or something.
I wholeheartedly agree with the tractor swap. I haven't ran bounties in it, I use an Andromeda for that, but I could see the issue with durability, especially if ganged up on.
only thing I hate about this ship is how boring the interior is. Like its just baren and sterile to the point it feels like a white box sometimes. the MSR and C-2 have the same clean look but are more visually fleshed out but they left the c-1 very blank. I mean hell the cutlass looks more alive on the inside. Also was never a fan of 90% of the cockpit being dead space just so you can have a silly sliding chair. Sure keep the chair design but does it really need to travel 20m to the mfd?
Valid points. I never really noticed it myself, but now that you mention it, I'll have to re-examine it to see how I feel. I do think the empty hallway will have more going for it once engineering is live.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 its honestly just a personal thing for me. I tend to like to live in my ships so if you just treat it like a work truck the interior isnt that big of an issue. I think the hallway isnt a real issue tho as it serves its purpose of being the module room.
My alt account has an Avenger Titan that I do everything out of, so I get the living out of the ship part of it. I'm also fairly oblivious to visual art/purely aesthetic design. Either way, good stuff, and I appreciate the commentary!
Underguned, too big and now in a game where speed is negated by mechanics. 1/10
It's not a combat dedicated ship, so I don't really see how its still adequate combat stats would result in a 1/10. Everything is about price in the end, and it is hyper competitive with its primary competition in all aspects. Additionally, the flight models aren't static, but consistently evolving, so things that limit it rn, could be strengths in the future. At the end of the day, fly the ships you love, and I just so happen to love this one.
Very helpful review as I am planning to step back into the verse very soon thanks again man!
Thanks!
I have shuffled my fleet up but have to say, I’m a huge fan of Crusader, just went out and got the bis 2950 red MSR and have the Olympia Paint for my C1. Ship is just overall versatile and I love the way it looks!
For my playstyle, this ship is the epitome of daily driver. I'm fond of the red paint. (can't remember the official name) The MSR is a great ship as well.
Excellent 👍.... subscribed. You have one of the most informative videos on the tube. Would have loved to see the snub manuver...or see a landing, still not really complaining. You provide all the nessesary information. Thanks.
Thank you for the compliments. I do need to go back over my ship reviews now that master modes has released. Everything but the flight and weapon info is still current.
Earned a sub!!
It's not ugly! It's perfect!
I don't agree, personally. But, I can see the allure for others!
Also, it still looks better than the Starfarer!
anyone else see the face looking back at you above the cockpit
I haven't noticed, but I also strive not to look at the ship to much! Not what I would describe as aesthetic!
would be cool when the cyclone are modular to switch different Attachment for you're choice and Missions.
I hadn't heard about modularity for the Cyclone. It's an interesting idea for sure. I find myself using either the base model or the MT depending on the ship I'm carrying it in, but it would be neat to only need to buy one and then be able to switch turret or rear cab options. I wouldn't mind getting a Cyclone with an extra two seats.
This was great to watch - how would you solve the Salvage deck issue ideally? I like the idea of a large tractor beam with controls on the upper catwalk, or perhaps some sort of rail system to auto slide the boxes into the lower hold. If you're looking for ideas for videos, I would love one where you lay out what you would one day like to see for the Reclaimer.
I have to admit that this review is outdated a bit, now that they've added the munching feature, and the ability to change the size of the containers. I like the idea of a movable tractor beam, and it really does look like a rail system would be a great fit riding the ceiling of the salvage deck.
I’m ready late to this game but where do I buy one and how do I get it on my ship?
I'm not sure why I didn't see this earlier, sorry for the late response! In game you can purchase them at New Deal in Lorville, or you can rent them at Traveler and Vantage Rental kiosks. To fit them into your ship, you need a ship large enough like a Drake Cutlass Black (which you can rent in game) or larger with a cargo bay and doors large enough to load it through. I have a few different videos going over most of the ships in game right now if you would like to check different ones out. The Cyclone is also available to buy with IRL money on the RSI page, though the different variants are not always available. Hope that helps, glhf!
@@eyesofheimdall6510 I purchased the Cutlass Black as my intro into the game and I did purchase some Cyclones. I’m just unsure of how to get them on your ship before you leave station.
Ah, I see. So, in short, you don't. You have to go to a planetary outpost, like the Mining stations on Hurston (the name of the locations on Hurston will start with HDMS-******) Once you have landed, look for a small building with two tiny landing pads next to it. That is the building where you spawn in your ground vehicles.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 ohhhhh ok 👍🏾 thank you.
I forgot to add, at New Babbage and Lorville, there are ground vehicle ASOP terminals but it is usually more of a hassle to get them in your ship in cities than at stations. New Babbage has the ground vehicle ASOPs in the spaceport. Lorville you have to ride the trams to one of the exterior gates to find the ground vehicle ASOPs.
What this ship needs to make the 4,912,500 aUEC price tag worth it: •Increase the pilot controlled weaponry to something reasonable (including a slightly increased missile payload. •Fix the the scan shielding functionality of the hidden cargo area. •Add another entry/exit point. •Make the kitchenette functional. •Add data-running gameplay. •Add scanning/exploration/cartography gameplay. •Ditch the pointless tunnels and goofy Star Wars invocation in favor of something more useful and less reminiscent of the _Hollywood dumpster fire. •Put something useful in the empty hallway. •Default the lights to 'ON' but keep the control. •Add floodlights at the rear of the ship like the Corsair. Why is this not OP? Because it wouldn't do any single one of these things better than more purpose-driven ships, and because the MSR is expensive for it's ship bracket.
You're not wrong! The biggest thing to update IMHO (other than the pricepoint!) is the pilot guns and another entry for sure.
Keep it up its some very nice reviews
Glad you like them!
I love the actual walkthrough of the ship with your own gameplay in it. Feel and information I was looking for.
Thank you for the compliment. That is exactly what I am aiming for in my reviews. If you picked up a Titan, enjoy it!
i wish i could buy the carrrack but im stuck on a lx
The Aurora LX isn't a bad ship for getting going. Just needs a couple of extra guns and it can do decent at low-tier bounties, which have the chance of dropping cargo. If you're trying to determine if the cargo is worth picking up, use sc-trade.tools/home (a free SC economy site) to check the prices. Hope that helps, o7!
Lol im reading this right now after buying the carrack@@eyesofheimdall6510
Not a terrible plan either way! The only thing to worry about with the Carrack is the upcoming changes to cargo loading will make it a bit of a pain to use with large scu boxes. My org uses my Carrack as a mobile base regularly.
I will actually say that the F8c lightning isn't OP. I've fought against them and with them and a light fighter can easily kill one. It really lacks sustained dps. It's great for smaller targets but it lacks vs heavier targets where the ares and vanguard do far better. If I would change anything, I'd actually make the pitch taste a couple of degrees faster (not much) so it can focus on smaller targets more... but then while it totally needs those shields imo I'd still nerf the hull its just too strong. Because it's small capacitors it really can't sustain dps... it's good for burst dps. Anyways this would give it a niche where it would be a heavy fighter that can compete with other fighters very well but should struggle against bigger targets. That would leave the vanguard a good middle ground while leaving big heavy targets for the ares (and the ares sucks vs other fighters). It might seem over powered in pve but there are other ships able to do that as well like the vangaurd and ares. You have to understand pve is not pvp though. The AI are not like fighting players.
It's not really that OP. It has fearsome firepower but a somewhat capable lf pilot can crush one 1v1 once they dodge the initial pass its over. It's limit to size 2 and 3 weapons may be what forces it into a fighter/ small ship hunter in the future, whereas the vanguards can slap size 5 cannons on a well as redundant components and an interior, which should not be ignored for future gameplay. Lightning is fine where it's at
That's where my thought line goes. The upcoming gameplay features will more refine/define what the Lightning is best at. Specifically when ship armor is implemented, the Lightning will not be as capable against larger more heavily armored ships as it is right now. When that comes along, I see the F8C being a good answer against Vanguards and Ares. I wonder also what the full implementation of master modes will mean for its maneuverability.
This thing is very poorly balanced, to the point where it makes every other ship irrelevant. Why would anyone bother buying any other fighter? Also more hp than a caterpillar (a ship that has a far greater mass) makes no sense.
I think the Cat's design faults should not be reflected negatively on the F8C. I should have worded that line differently. The F8C should, from a lore and cost perspective, be the absolute strongest single seat fighter in the game. Lorewise it is the newest most dangerous fighter in service to the UEE. Costwise, it is the most expensive single seat fighter to pledge and should reflect that. It's also still relatively new and will take some time to balance out to keep it from being a negative addition to the 'verse. With the upcoming additions of ship armor and the reworking of how components function on the horizon, I think it will become more in line with other ships, but still above them in overall capability. I apologize for the long-winded response.
Simply put, it's not a top dog ship by name.... And it was never meant to be average either. Mindsets like yours are literally what creates sub-par ships. You guys want a pecking order that sees each ship arm in arm only. This was Anvils best combat fighter. Instead of saying; oooohh it OP, nerf it!!! Say; I look forward to the other manufacturers making a competitive fighter. That's a much better approach than- NOOOOOO IT BETTER THAN MY LIGHT FIGHTER!!NERF IT TO THE GROUND!!!! Btw, this is supposed to eat most light and medium fighters for breakfast. That's what it was made for....Chess would be a boring game if wvery piece played the same...... Let that last sentence sink in....
No apology necessary, thanks for your thoughtful reply. I think you may be right that in time it will balance out.@@eyesofheimdall6510
This ship is so disproportionally overpowered it has the potential to undermine gameplay. The Lightning has more hull points than a Cat but somehow is still faster than a Mirai dedicated racer and has 50 percent more firepower than a Hurricane (which is another HEAVY FIGHTER btw). To use your term it shouldn't be "eating" other heavy fighters for breakfast. Finally, would you enjoy loosing to an unskilled pilot simply because he had more money to give to CIG?? Also, what prevents CIG from making the Lightning obsolete one day by introducing an even more unbalanced fighter in the future. @@durtyred86
The hull HP is more of an indictment on the Cat than a huge advantage for the F8C. It has a higher max speed than the Fury LX, but isn't even close to it's SCM. (212m/s Lightning, 240m/s Fury LX) Firepower is more complicated to quantify than just DPS numbers. The Hurricane is designed to be a 2 person fighter, and with a half competent gunner is still IMHO the deadliest pure fighter in the game, but I will give you a point there since stock the Lightning has twice the base DPS. As far as CIG's business model, I don't personally have a problem with them introducing a better option at a later date. If the game does well enough to support continual development and updates, I could absolutely see the smart business decision to eventually introduce an even stronger ship down the road.
Your "utility" point is also moot. First, nobody does "10 bunkers in a row" and second, it's not the quantum fuel that runs out when doing bunkers, it's the hydro fuel. Jumping within a planetary system costs practically no Q fuel at all and I have never heard of anyone running out of either doing just that even in the crappiest ships. Before you run out of fuel you stop by stations to get a drink or drop off the loot, if you even get to do that many bunkers in a row without 30k, game crash or dying to a bug or something else.
Alright.
I do...so your moot
Why does it have to be nerfed? What would you nerf? It was OP when the shields were bugged/unfinished. Now it sits between the the Scorp or Hurricane with 1 man and with 2 men, which is where a single seat heavy fighter should be. I also disagree that it's an MRT and HRT "money making machine". Those missions pay practically nothing and the ship is very expensive to maintain so it really eats into your already tiny profit.
Alright.
Man I wish they swapped out some of the 220 fins and engines to make room for a few bigger guns.
I'm honestly pretty content with the gun selection. I'd rather have the deeper magazines of sz2 than the tiny DPS bump of sz3s.
the Mis is pretty mucht the same as a Vanguard Warden... with just 1 gun less... less hitpoint... less speed...but same crosssection... same maneuverability... they are kinda confused in ship category.. the Mis is a heavy fighter.. like the vanguard I would rather call the valkyrie a gunship.... it has like 4(6) turrets.
I feel the Valkyrie is a mini-hammerhead if you can fully man it's turrets. Back in April I did a couple of ERT runs in a fully manned Valkyrie and it went pretty well. I can't agree with you about the Vanguard tho. It is a vastly superior combat ship compared to any variant of the MIS. The only use the MIS has is as a missile throwing ape. The Vanguard flies circles around the MIS, I know cuz I do it in my Harbinger all the time.
I would rather take the Mis if you want cargo for the same size.. take the MSR or a RAFT
I'll be honest, it's been so long since I shot that, I don't fully remember what I said. I did fly a Freelancer for a bit last week, and still hated every second of it. It's strange, since I'm really starting to like the other MISC/MIRAI ships, but I still just hate the Freelancer. I think it's the cockpit.
The Carrack is a military ship and will come with armor in the future, when the cockpit blast shield is implemented. Since this ship is meant to go where no man has gone before, it is made to handle the harshest environments. I also love this ship, Carrack is home and is my Firefly/Serenity ship, that can do almost any game loop in the SC PU.
I think until the Galaxy or Polaris comes out, this will remain my personal home-away ship as well. It really is a great one, I just with it wasn't as prohibitively expensive, tho I do understand the rationale.
The Connies are weird... They are like the stepping stone towards a Star Trek ship era, where mass distribution and external shape no longer matter because you only really fly around in space. I am a fan of compact, gravity-friendly designs like the Zeus MK2, but I can't deny the Connies are pretty and really good ships.
The Connie just has a special place in SC. It fills a wide variety of roles, looks good, doesn't fly terribly, and has some great in game lore behind it and its manufacturer.
The shaking of the elevator made my game crash.
Which elevator? To avoid issues with the front elevator (to the bridge) I just stand perfectly still when I hit the button. It's a habit I picked up back in 3.18 when the Reclaimer was much worse. The rear elevator I haven't had any issues with in a couple of patches. If the front elevator is the one giving you issues, there is a ladder on the opposite wall.
@eyesofheimdall6510 the inside one at the front of the reclaimer. I use the ladder but sometimes the stuck on the ladder glitch hits me. Apart from some little things the game is running better and more stable.
Gotcha, there is a ladder on the opposite wall from that elevator. I'd use that if the shake is giving you problems. Only caveat, do not, I repeat, do not, use the ladder while in quantum! It won't happen every time, but randomly it can kick you outta the ship when it's in quantum.
@eyesofheimdall6510 cheers mate have a safe holidays
The point of the ship, other than bling of course, is that it's the safest ship in the game by a long shot. It can easily outrun anything that could remotely pose a threat to it, especially in atmosphere where other ships can be easily shredded. It's meant to be an explorer, and it is absolutely the best ship in the game for that role ... whenever actual exploration gameplay comes along, of course.
I guess. I've heard a few different theories about what makes a good explorer, and this does fit a couple of them. I get the speed to safety idea, I'm just not sure if that is going to be as applicable when master mode flight is implemented. Still a flex ship to me, and nothing is going to change my mind on that part tho!
@@eyesofheimdall6510 Master modes will negate her shields when she's running, but by the same token, attackers will have to slow to SCM speeds to fire their weapons, and the 400i has quite a bit of armor (currently health) as well as a ton of subsystem redundancy. Would need quite a few very lucky shots in a very short period of time to stop her in her tracks. Though yes, she's a flex ship currently, which is sort of Origin's bread and butter, lol. If someone wanted function over form, they'd get a Drake ship ;) I'm genuinely curious what exploration mechanics will come into play, and especially how radar size, radar count, top scanning range, and scanning tables like the 400i has in the back will actually work within that gameplay loop.
I've got a feeling that exploration is going to have a few different sub-loops, kind of like bunkers currently have a few different loop options. I think that there will be long range true explorers like the Carrack or 600i, and then there will be basically scanner ships ie. the 400i, Terrapin. I've got no hard evidence, (I don't dig through Spectrum or Reddit for possible nuggets) but just looking at the design choices of the ships, and what has been actually confirmed by CIG for different ships. At the end of the day, I don't judge anyone for how they spend their money in a game. For me, the price of the 400i will almost never equal the benefit of owning it. I tried to like it, but in it's current state and the foreseeable changes, it just doesn't fit me. Honestly, I don't like the way it looks, I hate the way it handles, it has no cargo cap worth speaking of, and it costs 4x what a Cutlass Black does, and I'm sure it's gonna be at least 2x the price of a C1. I know that a good chunk of that is the specialization tax, but another good chunk is just because it says Origin on it. I do apologize for the rant. I got through that last paragraph and realized neither of us is going to convince the other. To close I'll say that I am glad you seem to like the ship. p.s. Crusader and RSI are my go to brands for cost-benefit, not Drake. I'm a redneck, not a hillbilly!
Is the game more stable and less buggy outside IAE ? I've been following the developement of this game for years. I want to buy it but during the last free flight, it seemed so buggy.
I won't lie to you and say that it is perfectly smooth. I will say that when it runs poorly, it normally is fixed in a few days. There are bugs, but they are consistently squashing the ones that actually affect gameplay the most, (IMO). I've been playing for over a year now, quite regularly, and have seen nothing but progress from development, quality, and overall enjoyability perspectives. To be fair, I do really enjoy the game, and that may color over things for me. I will say you need a decent machine to really enjoy the game. Not a beast, but a decent machine. 16+gbs of decent speed ram. Solid video card, (tho I ran it for most of last year with a 1650ti) and a SSD.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 Thank you for replying. My pc was able to run the game last month during the free flight so I should be fine. I had like 40-45 fps in new babage, surely the game isn't optimized yet, my gpu wasn't running at 99% for unknown reasons neither was my cpu (rx 6700xt, ryzen 5 7500f with 32gb of ddr5 on SSD). I genuinely enjoyed the game during the free flight despite the numerous bugs. If the servers are more stable outside IAE free flight, I might buy it. I frankly was astonished how I could fly from a city to the space and moons without a single loading screen.
Oh yeah, that first flight out to orbit really can take the breath away! The game as a whole is "usually" more stable during non-peak times. So, American holidays tend to be rough for any server. If you're US based, you can always play on the other server sets (EU, AUS, ASI) to get around the peak time overload. But it's usually not all that problematic with the exception of American holidays and the special events tend to overload a bit.
Got a m2. I did not mean to daily drive it but its to good not to daily drive. Swaped the s4 to s5 and the damage is good enough to kill most stuff no sweat. Once you will be able to slave the dual s4 to the driver seat your dps will be enough to bring down ships in pvp for sure. The cargo is nice on all missions. Find a huge box on a mission bring it in and sell it for a extra 16k np. Need to do a quick drive by with the ursa rover bring two of the you still got room for a lot of cargo. I am a bit of a looter horder and i newer manage to get close to maxing the ship out in one day with junk i find all over the place.
The M2 is definitely my favorite of the bunch. I'm not much into bombing things, and the C2 is great, but the M2 is the perfect blend of firepower and utility.
i want a explorer cuty that has a bathroom and cooking area
I have thought about the ways that the Cutlass line could be expanded. I just don't know that it has the fuel cap to really be an explorer for its size. I love the idea. I'm just not sure that it would fit within the "realism" aspect that CIG is striving for with ship design/function.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 they could do a cutlass mk.2 series like the anvil hornet
True, tho I don't see that happening in the near future. One of the best things about the Cutlass is the versatility that the base design has. It could easily be retrofitted (from a design perspective) to quite a few different things. The mid-range exploration bracket is already pretty full tho, with the Freelancer DUR, 315p, Terrapin, even the Aquila could fall in that range. Honestly, I'm more interested in getting some variety in the industrial ships. I could see the stub wings on the Cutlass being retrofitted with salvage heads, or even a cheap mining variant. Pure fantasy, but I could definitely see it.
Bought one (pledged) last night, after I first rented one to see if I could stomach it solo. Had already tried the Vulture, but didn't care for it as the cargo capacity was tiny and you had to stack boxes in a solo ship. Stupid design! At least you can do 4 at a time in the Reclaimer, and it has more cargo capacity than the server will ever allow (as in, before it 30K's) before server meshing is in. The textures (which aren't terrible, but they are getting dated) and lack of any of the modern features we see in newer ships is a bummer, as well as all the missing functionality. But I suspect they'll drive this thing hard up in price once drones, the claw and the eventual gold pass is in. Which is why I bought it now, with a decent CCU chain. I hear an Ares Inferno can kill this thing in like 8 seconds, which is probably the only credible solo ship threat to the Rec. This is the first ship I've ever had, since 2016, without any sort of pilot weapons. It feels weird, but I just see this as a pure workhorse, to make me aUEC so I can start buying ships in-game instead of spending all that cash. And if you go do salvage in the Halo belt, the chances of another player, let alone one who can actually take you down before you escape, should be astronomically low, at least with the current player cap.
Sounds like a well thought-out plan for its use. I actually rolled all of ships into store credit this past week and moved up to a Polaris, so no more industrial ships in my pledge fleet. I do think I'll use my C1 to earn up til I get a Vulture, then earn up to a Reclaimer. Mining for w/e reason just isn't doing it for me anymore, but salvage is still a great way to unwind after a long day.
I'd say the Eclipse is an even bigger threat than the Ares Inferno.
it all just depends, an Eclipse is a more pressing threat if the pilot knows how to use it well. With stealth not being implemented, the Eclipse has to hope for a good splash. The Ares ships do not. They can engage and stay engaged to down a Reclaimer. Also, if an Eclipse gets ya, it's not really a skill issue on the Reclaimer's part. Personally, using an Eclipse for PvP is not impressive at all.
The cargo goes on the outside between the rings, they hover in place. The panels with purple and blue that you didn't understand on the first floor are weapon and tool racks. the well next to it houses your suit/armor. Also the bathroom "sink" is both a sink for humans and a toilet for the Xi'an... they have different anatomy naturally. This has become my favorite ship overnight.
Thanks for the info. I messed around with it a bit later in the day and figured some of the stuff out, but I never did check the weapon racks. It's a pretty slick ship, I like it a lot. Thanks for the feedback!
Great video, man! You have a unique view on things and I'm glad I came across your channel. Keep it up :D
Thank you for watching! I strive to just be real. I'm not paid for any of this, but when I started SC last IAE, I had a hard time finding realistic budget friendly reviews. So I decided to make my own. Stay tuned, big things are coming for the channel, and it keeps growing every day!
It certainly is hard to come by and the honesty goes a long way. I'm excited to see where this channel goes!
It is pronounced "See you Len" :)
thanks for the info! Great little ship. Hopefully it's embraced by the community so we can get some more interesting starter/early game ships like it!
@@eyesofheimdall6510 I love it so much I got 4 to share the wealth
Nice. I don't think I'll pledge it myself, but that's more cuz I'm trying to save for a Galaxy. But it's the first starter ship that I've flown in a while that I really would consider against a Titan. Still prefer a Titan, but I'm not sure how much of that is familiarity.
That's what it was advertised as for forever. They squeezed out an extra chunk of space somehow. right before release they changed the stated spec
Yeah, I thought I had heard it, but for some reason it still showed 48 on starcitizen.tools, so I went with that. Learned my lesson!
so, first correction for the video: The total cargo cap is 64scu. I had thought so, but my normal stat site was still listing 48scu.
So weird that it's vertical, idk if I like that
it takes a bit of thought the first few times you take off in it, but it flies like a dream. And with a lil practice the lift off becomes more natural.
NIce video !
Thank you! I'm still a bit nervous when I can't give a "perfect ship for everything" type of review, but I'd rather be honest than not. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@eyesofheimdall6510 The approach you have is perfect
Thank you! I'm glad to know the videos are enjoyable! I do hope to be able to be a bit more cinematic soon, give the vids a bit more pop!
fuck that mic and low volume....
alright
