If it's for solo play, just get a Cyclone. The Ursa's only real advantage over the Cyclone is it's extra seating. Maybe a bit of extra use as a hauler for hand mining. But the Ursa and the Lynx both drive noticeably worse than the Cyclones, especially in low-g environments.
Cool video - sadly they got like ten times more expensive now. Its like 150k aUEC now (still very cheap - but takes a bit more effort then tweo bunker missions) What exactly did you mean with reloading the missle racks, was this not possible before? You mean at a spawn point or your hangar? Or in the field?
Yeah, my in-game pricing did not age well for my older videos! In the older builds before they added the ability to move components and vehicle weapons with a tractor beam, you couldn't reload out in the field. You could only reload at a hangar or Platinum Bay location. With the current game build you can throw a bunch of spare missiles in a 4scu crate, haul that in a second vehicle like the new Argo truck (I can't remember the name atm) and reload manually from that. I'm really liking the functionality of these additional vehicles, and how they add to the value of previous vehicles.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 How would you extract the missles from the SCU Container? I filled some S1 missles in a box, I can access the box, but can get them out. Game states, that you can only drop items to the ground if you can carry them :/
ah, I'll be honest here, I've not been able to play-test some of this. So you are more than likely correct. And to answer your other comment below, I haven't used the Cyclone for combat since 3.19ish so I don't want to speak out of turn with the changes from MM. (I know its a cop out, but I do strive for honesty!) In the pre-MM days, you used the missiles from the passenger seat for the AA version, and from the Turret for the MT.
I hadn't heard about modularity for the Cyclone. It's an interesting idea for sure. I find myself using either the base model or the MT depending on the ship I'm carrying it in, but it would be neat to only need to buy one and then be able to switch turret or rear cab options. I wouldn't mind getting a Cyclone with an extra two seats.
Any idea why it sometimes wont move? I park it in my cutlass np and the next time i hop in, it sometimes wont respond. I can still start it and the screen is on, but there's a little red warning symbol on one of the screens and I won't even be able to get it out of my ship.
I haven't experienced that issue yet, but I would recommend always cycling the power when you get in and out of it. I'm in the habit of either powering down, or at least shutting engines off any time I get out the seat when I'm on the ground. I'm not sure if that's the issue, but it's the first thing I can think of. Hope that helps.
I'm not sure why I didn't see this earlier, sorry for the late response! In game you can purchase them at New Deal in Lorville, or you can rent them at Traveler and Vantage Rental kiosks. To fit them into your ship, you need a ship large enough like a Drake Cutlass Black (which you can rent in game) or larger with a cargo bay and doors large enough to load it through. I have a few different videos going over most of the ships in game right now if you would like to check different ones out. The Cyclone is also available to buy with IRL money on the RSI page, though the different variants are not always available. Hope that helps, glhf!
@@eyesofheimdall6510 I purchased the Cutlass Black as my intro into the game and I did purchase some Cyclones. I’m just unsure of how to get them on your ship before you leave station.
Ah, I see. So, in short, you don't. You have to go to a planetary outpost, like the Mining stations on Hurston (the name of the locations on Hurston will start with HDMS-******) Once you have landed, look for a small building with two tiny landing pads next to it. That is the building where you spawn in your ground vehicles.
I forgot to add, at New Babbage and Lorville, there are ground vehicle ASOP terminals but it is usually more of a hassle to get them in your ship in cities than at stations. New Babbage has the ground vehicle ASOPs in the spaceport. Lorville you have to ride the trams to one of the exterior gates to find the ground vehicle ASOPs.
Woohoo! Ground vehicles! Thank you for the uploads.
Glad you like them! I'll be doing an Ursa vs. Lynx video in a week or so.
@@eyesofheimdall6510 Nice, been looking at the Ursa to be honest. I got the mule which I love, but it takes forever to get in and out of.

@@eyesofheimdall6510 ah, good to know, thank you.
Succinct and direct guide explaning the arcane art of mobile deployment, great video and good advice. Well done
Thanks for the response! I really enjoy the Cyclone's and still think they are some of the best bang-for-your-credit vehicles in the game!
Another benifit of the RC is that it's the only Cyclone version with boost.
Interesting.
This is the comment that made me buy 2 cyclones instead of 1
@@goonleeYou bought it for the boost? So tell us... was the Boost all you hoped it would be and more?
Earned a sub!!
Thank you for this guild, this helped so much!
Glad it helped! That's my goal, and it is great to hear that it comes across!

would be cool when the cyclone are modular to switch different Attachment for you're choice and Missions.
