I have the mug and made a cobra knot on handle for free. Cost more in Shops for it to be already done. I watch tutorial on RUclips and got myself some parachord now I'm making handy pull tags for the zips for my holdalls makes easier unzipping.

@@chrismckechnie1911 Very true Chris if the river has many options. However the river I fished offers very little in the way of swims to fish. Many of them are fast shallow rapids and I doubt perch will be located in them to be honest. As I said on film I have never really tried this section of the river for big Perch so fishing the swim I was in has a deep hole so thought it worth exploring. There are no further swims to my right as the river is overgrown with steep banks. To my left the next swim is in the next field. I had to go through 4 gates and a mile walk from the car park to fish where I was. Drop shotting and lure fishing does not appeal to me either, watching a float is more exciting to me. wow....we kids used to catch the bus from Barking to fish Wanstead Park Lake via the Dover Road trek. Fished the Ornamental later (not allowed at that time but we did it anyway) and had tench and crucian there. I can recall anglers fishing the Flats lake when we first went there, we saw them from the bus. So sad to hear about the demise of Ornamental, and Hollow Pond, a terrific Tench water when I was a teenager. Good luck with the Perch target buddy.

@ They were good days James and the ornamentals was a great place to fish. I would night fish it on the odd occasion with a mate although I don’t think it was allowed but plenty did. I plan to do a video chatting about my early days and fishing the boating lake and ornamental waters are firmly in my early fishing days. I had my first proper day catching goer Roach from the boating lake plus I had a bakers dozen on the lake as well. They were fantastic days and I virtually lived on those lakes in the six weeks holidays. Other local waters in the area was the small lake near Dames Road, Sandhills and Hollow ponds at Whipps Cross which was another great tench water 👍🎣🐟

Hi Ren, Thank you. I can't fault the Daiwa GS BR LT5000-C reel, smooth action with 4 ball bearings, weighs 330g, Max line rating of 12lbs with a one touch folding handle. Plenty of reel for the money. I bought a pair of them and very happy with them. No spare spool though 👍🎣

This video was a new edit from the 2012 filming, I had some cracking sessions for the Perch at Framfield around that time. Happy days 👍🐟🎣
