Great film & music mate. I use drilled, .22 Air gun pellets to load some of my floats on the stem. 🎣 The float rubber seats nice around the waste, but still slides up & down.
I used to stay at the river keepers house in my late teens, that was 45 years ago. So much water and a magical place. Spent lots of days just walking and stalking the chub and roach. Thanks for the video, brought back some great memories. 👍
@@allanbeasley4565 Hi Allan, you are welcome and thank you for your message. Sounds like you have some fantastic memories of the river, thank you for sharing. Russ 🐟🎣👍
I must say I'm loving this new perch content I've stumbled across...they don't have to be big to be beautiful...thats what I've told the Mrs for the past 20 year anyway 🙂
@@gavincorbett1272 Very true Gavin 😊 have you seen there is a Perch playlist of videos on the info section. Pleased you are enjoying the perch content, more to come soon 👍
@fishingtailfilms I have watched a couple but I've not seen the playlist...I will investigate and binge on them 🙂 the perch content is my favourite as they are my favourite species to fish for...do you have an Instagram or Facebook I could follow?
@@gavincorbett1272 Hi Gavin, yes I have a Instagram page for my fishing exploits instagram.com/russ_evans_fishing_tail_films/ and Facebook page facebook.com/obsessed.angler/ I shall lookout for you 👍🐟🎣
Thank you Andy, the Perch are fantastic fish and I just love fishing for them. I have heard of some very big Perch in the Bedford area so great to hear they are big and in numbers. 🐟🎣 👍
@fishingtailfilms Well they were there 12 years ago. I live in Weymouth now, doing my first love, sea fishing. My best is 3lb, caught along Bedford embankment. I also caught a 2lb roach on the same day. They are growing big on a diet of small fish and crayfish.
@@andycollings4302 3lbs Perch and a 2lbs Roach is a fine day's fishing Andy, excellent and agree with the crayfish, the Perch get fat munching on them as I found out at Hordle Lakes recently 👍
On that occasion I was Terry, as I tried to travel as light as possible due to lots of walking. It did the job ok 👍 my Darent Valleys 1.25 test curve. Normally I would use a greys specialist same test curve 👍
Thank you and glad you found the link from instagram. I shall be watching your videos over the weekend when I have finished editing and uploading my new film on the channel 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟

A really beautiful video. The perch is such a majestic fish. Where I used to live (Bedford) the perch were getting rather big and a lot of them. 👍👍👍

So peaceful and meditative in quality, Russ! Your voice is very soothing and pleasing to listen to. Stunning natural beauty surrounding you here!
Thank you very much Kate for your kind words and pleased you found the video relaxing 😊🎥
Nice days fishing in a beautiful location mate.
Very true Paul, such a beautiful part of the Avon and it is always a pleasure to fish there 👍🎣
People who don't fish may never know what incredible creatures live in our waters.

Thanks Keith I certainly will as I will be out filming again very soon 🎥🎬🐟🎶🎼
One life time is interesting, if we all come back as otters let’s have a pact of leaving the rivers alone

@@fishingtailfilms I did wonder as I like a white or orange tip on my ledger rods even when touch ledgering I find it useful
I agree Terry especially in certain light conditions 👍🎣
Very enjoyable video, I was promoted to head hear from instagram.
