Thanks Stephen such a lovely lake when it is on song. A very good Winter venue as well. I have had some cracking days in the past catching Crucians in late November 👍
Hello there, have not fished Milton lake for a long time, I miss the big lake very much, what a lovely video, I really enjoyed this a lot, thanks for the work, and share.
Hi Clive, thank you for your comment and great that you enjoyed the video. The Old Lake produced me my PB Crucian of 3lbs 14oz and what a memorable day that was. 👍🐟
Nice fishing! My childhood (and still) my favourite fish, the Tench. I used to fish on a tiny farm pond for them in the summer of 1976, a true scorcher. Sweetcorn & lobworms did the business with them! There were loads of tiny golden Carp (probably Crucians) that were 2 - 4 ounce that you could swing in. Happy days! A nice centrepin I can recommend for the margins & Tench ☺
Hi Barry, that was a hot summer for sure, I remember it well. I fished the boating lake at Wanstead that summer on the waggler and at the end of that summer I was sitting where I was actually casting to at the start of summer. Nice memories of childhood days like yours and agree a centrepin is perfect 👍🎣🐟
Thank you Alex the crucians were on the feed for sure, I reckon I had 35-40 crucians in a few hours along with 8 tench it was a busy but enjoyable morning session. 🎣👍
Thank you and thanks for the question. I placed a No8 shot 3-4 inches from the hook and bulked No6 shots about 18 inches from the hook. I hope this makes sense, cheers Russ 👍🎣🐟
My most favourite type of fishing along with chub in the river season. Lovely video well done

Another top video. With the shot and hook that you used here, was it 3/4 bulked together number 6 shot and about 4 inch from the number 14 hook ?
Thank you and thanks for the question. I placed a No8 shot 3-4 inches from the hook and bulked No6 shots about 18 inches from the hook. I hope this makes sense, cheers Russ 👍🎣🐟
