Angling Direct. Responsible for the closing down of so many smaller tackle shops. I work part time in a tackle shop that used to be very busy but this company has killed the trade. Its a shame.
I often go for one whole peeled shrimp (and no head of course) on a size 8 hook, just because I have never seen any less bites but I have seen many more hooked crucians with larger hooks. And they are as likely to take the whole shrimp as a carp or tench when you ahve gotten them to start feeding in your swim. Don´t diss larger hooks and baits for crucians :)
The bolt method feeder might be the modern way to catch big crucian and I’m usually all for using the most efficient methods available - However, I must confess to being a complete hypocrite and making the exception where these little fellas are concerned and for some unbeknown reason I will only ever float fish for them.
yes you can eat crucean carp. they are somewhat of a delicacy in slavic countrys and some other parts of europe and make a good fish soup or can be enjoyed fryed in a pan but it is a bit bony
The true crucian (Carassius aurea) is in big trouble in Europe due to the spread of closely related (and much less beautiful) gibel carp and brown goldfish. If you want to eat small Cyprinids, brush up on identification skills (it can be tricky) and eat gibel carp and brown goldfish and return all true crucians alive!
I am a japanes crucian carp fisherman.
Thank you for making good movies on RUclips all the time.
Hello, I am a freshwater fishing RUclipsr in Korea. Thank you for the fishing video. Thank you for the good video.
Your skills are sharp

That, my friend, is called business. Also you may call it progress, or even supply and demand.

You know when you've hooked a Crucian the way they bounce the rod around in circles 😀
Thats definitely the tell tale fight of a crucian 🙂
Well done ad 👍 🎣 🎣 🎣
what rod reel and line were you using ?
We were using the Advanta X5 float rod and reel. It was some prototype line too, which will be released soon! Hope that helps.

Please don't eat them. They are very rare especially in the UK. Please don't encourage eating them,
