You can take oil pan off while in truck but you must raise the cab 8”s then you must raise the front of the motor high enough to get oil pan off. So might as well change oil pan gasket along with the dipstick tube seal

It’s August of 2024. Did this car get built/running/driving? Curious if you’ve driven both CPP and stock control arm Tri-5 cars and if (good) tubular control arms really make a difference.

My truck doing the same damn thing. When I do get it to start it runs like crap and WILL NOT go over 2000 rpm then it will eventually just die again. Sadly replacing the harness in the valve covers did not fix it.

I am into day 3 of an oil pan / dipstick tube leak. I went today to Brondes Ford to pick up these parts. F4TZ *6751*A CONNEC SP-OR 1 $25.33 that is the nut on the tube fitting. Also the blue oring 3C3Z*6753*AA GASKET SP-OR 1 $11.46 AND A NEW COPPER OIL DRAIN PLUG WASHER/ GASKET 3C3Z*6734*AA GASKET 139D 38 $6.91 My Company has an account with This local dealer. We get 10 to 15 off these prices. These parts fit a 2000 F350 7.3. I have 490k. This is the 3rd leak in a row.... lol every 2 days. I will report back. The back up plan is to put an Extreme Diesel knock off fix. It is a great fix if it doesn't work. After watching this RUclips i have great hope... even bought the Dorman kit. Clutch tool was too tight, gotta move smoothly in and out.

Diesel doesn’t have spark plugs; they have glow plugs

Spark plugs are right next to the injectors FYI. Don't forget to change out the spark plug wires and distributor cap while you got her open!

Sorry I missed ya. Saw your e-mail and then things just got busy this evening. Watching the 2nd intermission now. Glad you decided to go to Big Sky Race Week. Am sure you're gonna have a blast. Nice work on the door jams and the weather-stripping. Did you do around the trunk lid? Have driven around in a '66 Nova that had no weather-stripping around the trunk lid. And the exhaust fumes and dust came into the car really bad. With the windows up, your eyes were stinging after not much driving, The interior is looking really good. Looking forward to seeing some videos from the week of driving. Be safe and stay well.
