I really like the Bare Metal look as opposed to the Faded paint & rusty look that so many Hotrodders have on their old Cars. If you are Not going to paint it then This is the Look to Have! One thing for sure is that Your Tri-Five will Stand out from the Crowd!
Awesome man !! thanks for wearing my shirt on ur channel thanks for the massive shout out bro cheers man !! Nationals was awesome until a canopy flew from another site and hit the All American😂 !! Nice repair on the lower quarter panel can’t even tell that shark hide makes the 55 look amazing !!!
Thanks Dave. It may see some paint someday, but for now I'm digging it like this. Might be because I'm too lazy to do all the body work, but I don't think so...
You have an awesome car Brad! You deserve it with all the hard work you have already done on it. I really enjoy your videos as you tell it like it is. Keep up the great work.
Looks pretty good there Brad, at least it will be protected until you decide what you want to do next with the body. Hopefully you’ll have your regi sorted out soon so you can put some miles on it! That opening shot there of the chassis is the bomb! Looks and sounds soo good! Have a great rest of the week!
My 70 F250 has been bare for 5 years this month. I just used cheap spray wax, kept it in the garage and never drove it in the rain. I'm gonna give this a whirl and not worry about a few sprinkles. Great video, Thanks!
The 55 looks great! Fiano is the man! Definitely gotta meet him when ya get a chance. Thanks for thw video im looking at possibly keeping a car bare for a bit myself.
Brad couldn’t agree more 80 great scratches looks great on metal. Finer sand paper starts to make it look hazy. Love the way your going with it. Are you going with chrome bumpers and side trim? Looking great man 👍😎✌️
Thanks Kevin. My trim isn't in great shape, but I need to dig it out and see what I can salvage. I plan on running the side trim, trim around the glass, and a rear bumper. No front bumper though.
Holy shit Hector thanks for watching man. Much appreciated. I don't know if you'd remember, but I used to have pics of this car on my locker in the barracks back in the day. It has been with me for a while. Hope all is well. Curahee!
I also like the bare metal look. I just took all the paint off my old powerwagon and I'm leaving it that way. I might clear coat over the bare metal idk yet.
The old '55 looks fantastic. Not my cup of tea but if you like it that's all that matters. Sounds spectacular. Hope the title issue gets resolved asap so you can get out for some real rips!! Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
Brad Bud been watching u for quite awhile on the oh Chevy, Did a heck of job building it Bud . Even though you did something's a few things over and over LOL just kidding, But Man don't know about u but I love the it looks of the bare metal 👍 PS u get the spot on the rear end 🤔 Have a good one Bud 👍✌️
Thanks Lonnie. I appreciate you always watching. I did almost all of it at least twice but it eventually turned out, huh? I did get the spot on the rear but thanks for the reminder!
That appling look easy but what is with tiny spaces which are more inside, underneath, between areas and stuff. I think this coat is not fully indeed for a rust protection on cars to drive around with bare metal
So far so good. It's only been rained on one time and spends most of its life inside, but it still looks like the day I applied it. Thanks for watching and asking!
Hmm, not sure Nando. I would guess the answer is no, but you may want to check the Sharkhide website to see what the experts have to say. Thanks for watching!
Moose is all good. He just spends a little more time doing cat things when the weather is nice like this. He'll be back in future vids for sure. Thanks for watching.
It still looks the same as the day I applied it. The car doesn't spend much time outside, and I think it only got rained on once, but so far so good. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. The Chevelle was planned to be next and it MIGHT be next. However, I now have my eyes on another project for the channel. Stay tuned for more on that...
Heat makes SharkHide thin out and looks scabby after a couple years,,which i guess isn't too bad.But before you can re-apply you must remove the old,,which is were the bitch is. It does take some harsh chemicals like brake kleen and some elbow.
Thanks for watching and for the tips. All good so far with the Sharkhide. I did think I could just add more without removing it though so I'll have to double check that for sure.
@@MontanaGarage Why is it all the paint guys say it HAS to be painted? I prefer things not "the norm". Very cool, dig it. Like my bare metal 70 F250...not another one like it. Wish I could share a pic of it. It's pretty damn cool.
Interesting product ; I have heard of it before. it will be interesting to see how it does in Montano. Here ; in Ontario where I live I am not so sure if it would work. Even older cars sitting outside tend to disintegrate over time ( high humidity , lack of sun ,etc.) . Anyway good luck and looking forward to more updates.
OK. I have to admit.. it does look good. Since you have had the old gal unpainted (even inside) for as long as you have then it should last for a decent time, in your climate. I've never been able to see bare metal outside long enough to know if I like it. ;) A normal day here and after a couple of hours bare metal isn't bare anymore. It's got that gold/yellow rust look. And if you blast or chemically clean the metal then you actually can watch it's flash rust before your eyes. In my eyes it sure does look better than the fake patina or rust. But to each their own. No one has to like it other than you. Now.. use your fancy time machine and show us how it stands up to the weather. What?? We have to wait? Man.. that bites.
Thank Joe. Hopefully I'll get to actually drive it a bit more soon, and it may encounter some inclement weather at some point. Time will tell how it stand up to it.

You bet Fiano. Thanks for watching. Bummed to hear the All American took a hit at Nats. Coulda been worse, but still a major bummer.
Come on Brad she deserves a paint job so the outside looks as good as the under side love it no matter what stance and wheel and tire choice perfect
Thanks Dave. It may see some paint someday, but for now I'm digging it like this. Might be because I'm too lazy to do all the body work, but I don't think so...
Definitely not lazy
Looks great brad …..
Thanks David!
That turned out pretty slick. I love the way it changes as you view it from different angles. Great video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Thank you Stanley!

Thanks Al I really appreciate that man!
That's a beautiful looking vehicle mate
WOW I think you nailed it , I bet it's about like that sweet patina sauce you wipe on . maybe clear coat it would be cool also
Thanks man!
Yup, Unique, Cool, Your Style….I like it…..As Always…. You Can Always Change It If Your Desire….Desires It!
Thanks man. That what I figure. For now I dig it, but that may change later. Thanks for watching!
I think it looks good. $70 is definitely well worth it and it’s easy to apply. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Cory!

Great idea, ya don’t see a bare metal 55 very often so it’s very unique and looks awesome.

It would look good yellow and white
Meh, not a big yellow fan myself. Thanks for the tip though!

Springtime is here! How has it held up?
All good still, but it has had very little exposure to rain/water so far. It should see some weather soon, so hopefully it keeps on keeping on.
One things for sure, it's a cool looking car. Underside looks great!
Thanks man I appreciate that!
Brad will you put the Bummers back on ?
I plan on putting the back bumper on, but not the front. Thanks for watching!
