Of all your proyectos and i like them all this o e its my favorite. You may consider spray your rusty jewells with a mix of flat and shine clear it will mantain your look and will look great.
That is not available here in SA. Could ship it in, but the boiled linseed oil is cheap and works very well for me. Maybe it's even the main ingredient in "Patina Sauce"?
Thanks for your clear explanations. I really like your channel. I have two questions: what if you applied linseed oil but later you have to weld something there. How do you get the bare metal back so you can weld it? Second question: Will the linseed oil also protect the metal enough when the car would always be parked outside, so it gets wet from the rain frequently?
You could probably weld right through it, but I would clean the spot with a flap disc or wire brush first. I have had cars at outdoor shows for few days where it rained overnight. No problem. But for cars standing outside, you will probably have to reapply quite often.
I bang that mix into a cheap HVLP spray-gun and use it to spray it on - you can then run a rag over the flat sections, but the spray gets the oil into every nook & cranny, preventing those hidden areas from corroding. I have the gun marked as "Mix" & only use it for that. It's a real fast way of doing that ^. :-)
Is S.A. a dry climate or humid? Another RUclipsr I watch has a bare metal '36 Chevy and seems to need to strip and reapply clearcoat quite often but it's humid here in Southern Ontario. 👍🇨🇦
We have many different climates within SA. Brian Where I live (Garden Route area) it can be quite humid, but further inland in the Karoo it is very dry. Personally I hate clear coat, its just a pain! The linseed method works much better for me.
Hi, what type of oil is it? I did not catch that in the video, it is hard to understand :) I am interested, especially if that oil is not leaving the oil, sticky surface. Thank you.
Yes, I am interested in purchasing 2 "BullShit" meters but at a range of 10 Fecal hZ, because it does get quite deep here in steer, cow & Bull country! Please share a link to you skeleton hand headlamp holder as well as the spider web & spider assembly. These things maybe useful if asked to run for a government office. I hope to scare them off as I run away from the DC government here as most of them sleep in coffins and come out to govern and make laws to spend money on bugs, butterflies and bait fishes! Thanks Dov. Enjoy also, I do. DK, Omaha. P.S. when you stop hearing from me, it means I am no longer among the living. 😮
Haha, the range of bullshit meters needs increasing everywhere these days! I have yet to make a video about the skeleton hand and the spider... Its on the list, just gotta find the time...
@@ratrodsafrica I truly think it is very interesting art as several types of metals are used. You have steel, silver solder, copper and a we little stick of magic in there! It is great...
Not sure what linseed oil your using hey because I've got a bare metal car on the coast and it's rust in the rain must be the gaffers flushing the oil refinery stacks out of the night time fkin gaffers hey mate ruin my bare metal car hey..

Does it have an odor? Need to use it on interior panels.
Nothing that's unpleasant 🙂

Plain old boiled linseed oil. But coastal air and acid rain or that kind of stuff will be a problem...
I'll pass on the spider (arachnophobia).
😅👍
