The difference between MJ and his clones is hes the only one who can score more than half the team's points while keeping the rest of his squad efficient and playing defense. Every bull shot over 50% in this game and MJ's true shooting percentage is in the class of power forwards and centers. Its not nostalgia, just nobody who solved so many problems for a team like jordan. Half your offense with no efficiency loss, lockdown defender, and true closer. He made 50% of all playoff opportunities where it was the last 24 seconds to win or tie the game. Lebron is 38%, Kobe 30%. I am not into the GOAT debates but MJ is really on a different level as closer His career FG% is 49.7% . Just... Blows my mind how efficient he was

GOAT is Michael Jordan vs. Larry Bird, for several reasons. 1. "To be the best you have to beat the best", which is true. But there's an asterisk by that statement. Michael Jordan did beat the best. But the best when he did wasn't Bird and the Celtics. It was the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons, who had beaten Bird's Celtics in 1988. 2. MJ never lost a finals series and Bird did to the Lakers twice in 1985 and 1987. 3, remember the so-called flu game in 1997 finals against the Utah Jazz? I'm not sure Larry Bird could've performed how he usually did under similar circumstances. I doubt he could've had a great performance being that sick, in a hostile environment, like MJ did at the Delta Center, feeling horrible, and putting 38 points on the board to win on the road. So, it's not head to head competition alone "Be the best, beat the best", more complex than that. Was Bird a great player? Absolutely! Better than Le Bron? Yes! No question. Better than MJ? No, for the reasons I mentioned. Even when MJ was challenged in the 90s (mostly by the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference, once he overcame the Bad Boy Pistons), he and the Bulls found ways to beat NY. Toughest finals series in the first threepeat? I'd say Phoenix, and him and his teammates were still able to beat them in hard fought games. When Bird beat Jordan in the early 90s, it wasn't him alone, as new players were rising with one of them, sadly (Reggie Lewis), dying unexpectedly of a heart attack, and the Bulls and Celtics never met in the playoffs when MJ was in his prime, as 1986 was before his prime, despite the 63 points. Bird is definitely in the top 5 as far the the GOATS go. Had the celtics and bulls met, like in the 1991 playoffs, the answer to this question would be more clearly answered.
