Who Is The Best All-Time Out of the 3? Larry, Magic, or Kareem
The 3 played in diff position. Thus,no argument. All 3 are very good
That's such a horrible way to ask this question, you should ask it like this; Out of these three NBA greats, who is the greatest?
@@Gregory-sm9pf Yup. 👍
And the answer is.....
@@cindyknudson2715 I know you Cindy, and you know the answer,,,, 🙂
Victor wembanyama would've love ❤️ to 💂♂️ guarding Larry bird , yelling help help cannot see the 🧺 basket, please take me out the game,, got a Victor wembanyama headache,, lebron jame would've score 50s points playing against Larry bird especially broken back Larry bird ,young David Robinson& young Kevin garnett each would've ❤️ 💂♀️ guarding broken back Larry bird, larry bird yelling help help to coach k.c Jones take me out of the game, got a David Robinson & Kevin Garrett headache
From its completion in 1928 till its demolition in 1996, the Boston Garden Never had air conditioning.
Exactly. The narrator's claims to the contrary, something that doesn't exist cannot possibly malfunction.
If anyone tells me Larry Bird is the GOAT, i couldn't contradict.
Please, please stop putting a crybaby like LeBalco in the same level of this insane competitive beast.
Bird was different.
Lebron james would've score 50s points playing against Larry broken back bird, lebron jame would've ate a 🐦 sandwich from French lick Indiana, Nikola jokic & luka doncic ❤️ 🐦 sandwich from French lick, Indiana, each would've score 50s points playing against Larry broken back bird
@@user-iv9er3nr6z LeBron can’t beat Nikola Jokić, imagine if Larry Legend play against him. LeMickey ends in tears.
laflop
❤️mtayshaun prince to guard 💂♀️ larry bird, Tayshaun prince would've put Larry bird in a 🐦 cage & tayshaun prince would've ate a 🐦 sandwich for lunch
Contradict?
Greatest of ALL time, cannot be determined until the end of time. Because that is how "time" works.
But he did come back to lose to the lakers the following year only to dig deep and win it again after that series lose. So Larry Legend was GREAT but so was Magic and Kareem and Cooper. The Lakers really were GREAT. They respected each other, the Lakers and Boston. Nothing like the 80's - NOTHING! I miss that era.
Lakers had 2. #1 squads
Their bench was as good as the starters
Almost wasnt fair
Magic 🎩 johnson & Kareem Abdul jabber l.a Lakers & larry bird & Boston Celtics own the nba basketball championship 1980s, except for Detroit piston two year 🏃♂️ run
Nailed it. One of the greatest rivalries in any sport. It had it all. East against West, Lakers vs Celtics, Bird vs Magic. I was in my twenties and really didn't watch the NBA. But when I saw the '79 NCAA final I had to see if it carried over and boy did it ever. I was sad in 86 when we were denied a Laker Celtic final by Houston I think.
BUT they're talking about this year not the next. AND he won the MVP as well. Larry Legend did it all, even with a messed up back and bone spurs in both feet
Jokic's game has proved Larry Legend's game would totally translate to today...
Nikola jokic is a center center has to do the dirty work on defense
@@user-iv9er3nr6z The point was Larry was called unathletic even though he wasn't just like jokic. There's more to the game than being able to jump high or look good
Bird. Best nba player EVER
Only in your world.
Luka doncic& Nikola jokic & LeBron james & machael Jordan etc etc just fell over laughing
@@user-iv9er3nr6zluca cant carry larrys ball bag.
Larry bird only three NBA basketball championships, ,, lebron james got four NBA basketball championships, 🎩 magic johnson five nba basketball 🏀 championships, machael Jordan six nba basketball championships etc etc
Best clutch shooter maybe, Kobe and Mike are the other two but it's like the great Pat Riley said, if I had to choose a player to take a shot to win a game I'd choose Michael Jordan, if I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life, I'd take Larry Bird.
I'm a fan of Larry Bird, but not just him, his friend Kevin McHale and Johnson ,Robert parish, Luke long, they all shared with Bird the strength to win.
man bird a stone cold killer
Thanks for covering this game = many people, especially those that did not watch Bird play have no idea how great of a player Bird was or how great this performance was in this Finals!!!!!
We play basketball outside in 120° weather in Texas
There was no-malfunction of air conditioner. there was no Air Conditioner --never was-ever.
Exactly, LoL! 🥵
Red turned the heat on in the Lakers locker room, and the water off.
@@Smooth1nowno mercy! 😁
@@Smooth1now there was no heat either in Boston Garden
Subbed, good stuff right here. Always room for another good classic nba channel.
To see two great teams on the same court when I was growing up is a magical memory. The only thing I "hate" about it is that I got to be "too demanding" (of course I am being sarcastic). Seriously though I am so grateful to have lived to see this live.
exactly, wow
I understand, i watched Gretzky live at Northlands Colosseum in Edmonton a number of times in his prime. He was the Payton Manning and Tom Brady of hockey when he was on the ice. As Viktor Tikhonov the coach of the USSR Red Army team said once, our team new the second Gretzky stepped on to the ice. Enough said.
Bird was the professor during that time!
Machiel Jordan 63 points playing against Larry bird,, Machiel Jordan had/ ate a 🐦 sandwich in 1986 playoffs game
@@user-iv9er3nr6z on shire basketball IQ, Bird was the professor. Just view what Kareem said about Bird.
@@user-iv9er3nr6z Jordan did not play against Larry Bird, but the Celtics, Bird didn't guard Jordan, but that 63 felt nice in a loss. It was a case of let the man have his points, but don't let anyone else beat you. Maybe he should not have had the sandwich and he may not have lost.
Fact check The Boston Celtics Boston Garden never had any air-conditioning. Until Years later!!!
The Old Boston Garden never had air conditioning then and right up until they demolished it to put up the new stadium back I wanna say in 97, 98? That one had Air conditioning installed
had some odd bounce spots on the parquet floor and one basket was stiffer than the other too lol
@@Zenny916 don't forget about the ghosts, the dead monkey, yes, a dead monkey
@@Zenny916 don't forget the ghosts 👻, LoL!
..there was no air conditioning in the Garden
Well, being older and enjoying these 2nd 3rd and 4th looks, what could you say except Bird new he could dominate as long as he was healthy. That's just the way it was. I enjoyed watching one more time. Thanks
Your narration is Great
That's what caught my attention too. I HATE the stupid Ai narration channels.
just remember, lakers 2 wins 1 loss in finals to celtics...but they didn't make the finals in 1986 and that was the celtic's best team of the 80s :O
...we got robbed of several more Celtic/Laker Matchups the night Len Bias died on draft night. The Lakers got their next star Worthy via trade, as did the Celtics with Bias. It was set up perfectly for the rivalry to continue for a long time, and to make matters worse All Star Reggie Lewis dies of a heart ailment a couple years later.
it was tragic. but the celtics, pistons and lakers were the 3 great teams of the 80s and what a decade of basketball :O@@mikejohnson-cw3ol
Bird was the best from the time he entered the league. Just not recognized by mvp vote yet. The Celtics were his team from day one and everyone knew it. McHale was as big a factor in the 81 season as Parish
And I'll tell you right now Larry Bird was talking smack all game long
Larry the GOAT.
Larry Legend!! ❤
Kareem wasn't 30. He was 37 in 1984.
correct. i was like, NO bro, he was mid/late 30s in this timeframe.
You are correct. And he also retired when he was 42, not 43.
1970s Kareem Abdul jabber would've had a 🐦 sandwich

@@user-iv9er3nr6z Watch it fooo. I don't want to hear none of your Kareem Abdul jibba jabber.
By the way wasnt just a "playoff" game. It was the Finals
Larry legend
The true GOAT!
Spoken as a true Laker fan. As a Celtic fan James Worthy always scared me. I remember thinking how do you stop James Worthy! Magic and Kareem were great players.
I remember that game, Bird was a monster on the boards. I remember because I was a Laker fan. We tried everything. Double teams, triple teams. People might not remember that Cooper was the best defender in the league but Larry Legend was unstoppable. I heard Coach Riley told Coop I know we're not gonna stop him just try to push him off his spot. Coop said his spot is the whole damn court!
this is when Larry Bird became LARRY LEGEND! I remember this well, was an amazing time..
Bird was Bomb!
Larry Legend
1984 start of the legendary rivalry
The series that got away
This is one of the reasons why Larry Bird is one of the GOATs he beat two other Goats at the same time. Also the journey of that Celtics team, They all became better as they played.
The Goat
I had row 13th row seats. It was awesome but so hot,
I was a magic cream Kurt rambis you know those guys I was a fan of theirs I couldn't stand Larry Bird because I don't know how many times we get into the finals with them and he just spank our ass but now since you know you no longer plays and personally these players couldn't hang with these guys but I digress Larry Bird is one of the best players that's ever played the game yeah you had your Michael Jordan's that can fly through the air and slam and jam and dunk but when it comes to Larry Bird he was an all-around player he can pass he can shoot and for white boy that couldn't jump sure as hell look like he put a couple of dunks down on a few boys that were supposed to be badasses back in those days so yeah Larry Bird was a badass they'll never be another one like him
Bird is the all-time goat he didn't switch teams like LeBron James he could do it by himself LeBron had to run around the league trying to find another good player so he can win championship games so he's not in a conversation asthe goat bird and magic didn't run around trying to find another good team so they could win a championship they did it their selves and we all know LeBron could not do that he is a joke lol
Music is annoying
At 1:25 on this video, Larry receives a pass, and takes, by my count at least 3 steps without dribbling the ball, before scoring on a lay-up. How can that have happened???
Larry Larry Larry
Bird == GOAT.
@2:31 BOGUS! THE BOSTON GARDEN DID NOT HAVE A/C!!!
💯
At least this doesn’t have a #%^* robot narrator.
Yeah him and Carlin, Right?
I always thought refs deferred to MJ who often took 3 steps to the basket. Bird took 4 or 5 and no whistle. It was so blatant, I had to wonder if they'd suspended the traveling rule for the game. Still love Bird.
???
Well...if Len Bias didn't die that day...The C's would have handed it to the Lakers in 87..and who knows how many after that
I think Magic and Kareem will match their rings against one day.
Huh???
@@nknutson1 Not that hard to understand.
@@drh3b actually it is. Ask someone else to read it and then get back to me
What???
@@pdinnj Another genius.
Bird never singularly beat the Lakers, all of Celtics did
You Sir are Brilliant. The only man that might have been able to beat a team by himself was Wilt
Geez, is this video about the game or you talking?
Pat Riley's coaching and Magic lost that 84 series.
Nope. Worthy thru the Ball away, to Gerald Henderson. All they had to do was inbound the ball and run clock. They would have been up 2-0 going back to LA.
@@Smooth1nowExactly! That pass right there changed the whole dynamic of the series, if Worthy didn't panic and inbound that ball to a teammate, Lakers are going home up 2 games to none, Celtics more than likely lose the series
@@Gregory-sm9pf Not many people, remember that BAD pass. Then in fourth game, Celtics played bully ball, McKale tackled Rambis, and they got away with murder. It was 2-2 instead of 3-1. That was the Lakers series and They lost again.!!!!!!
@@Smooth1now Lakers should have won in 84, no doubt, Celtics know that also
@@Gregory-sm9pf They also should have beaten Detroit for the threepeat. Magic and Scott both pulled hamstrings, and played one game barely.!!!!! Most people forget.
'80s Lakers 5 championships, '80s Celtics 3 Championships. There's no debate who was better.
Sure there is. The East was much tougher than the West. By the time the East was settled the Eastern Conference Champs were beat to death. The Lakers were fantastic but I don't think they would have been there to win 5 if they were in the East. That Rivalry was what saved the NBA.
Lakers had a cakewalk to the finals every year while the Celtics were going through wars with the Sixers Pistons Bucks Hawks and Cavaliers all stacked great teams plus the Lakers had more talent than the Celtics and feared Bird as everyone else did as well
@@kurtsherrick2066I don’t care who they played to get there. You find it within you to win. Or you lose. These are young, supremely conditioned athletes. You can’t play tough for 7 more games? GTFOH
Larry bird& Boston Celtics fans alway got excuses, Isiah Thomas Detroit piston beat Larry bird &Boston Celtics in the late 1980s& early 1990s playoffs ,,laugh, laugh
The Celtics would have beaten the Lakers in 87 had Len Bias not died, the Celtics were one player short against the Lakers that year, that player would have been Bias. The Celtics were battling a lot of nagging injuries going into that finals series against the Lakers and the Lakers still needed six games to beat them, if the Celtics have Bias it's most likely the exact opposite, with the Celtics winning that series in six games ..
please mute ...
Any word from lbj fans who kept on claiming lbj is the best in #3 position Common men
Lousy narration, this video is repetitious and drags.
Totally bias take. The Celtics would do anything to win, including turning the heater on in the Lakers locker room, when it was unbearable. That was the last time the Lakers and Magic would lose to the Celtics. If there was a year, the Lakers should have won, but didn't, it was that year.
Kareem destroyed Larry Bird and the Celtics too many times. Magic Johnson did the same.
There go the typical Laker fans, making their big excuses for losing!!! Especially when they lose to the Celtics!!! Look,Laker fans, there's a REASON,NOT AN EXCUSE,that the Celtics lead your "Golden" team 9-3 in championships, and have beaten the Lakers SOUNDLY in SO MANY regular season games.....it was because 75 percent of the times they played each other, the Celtics were the BETTER team!!!!Get a grip on THAT!! You'll sleep better!!😴😴😴
*BOSTON GARDEN* NEVER HAD AIR-CONDITIONING until MUCH LATER
