Imagine if he fell in line and ran the 2nd unit and kept strengthening his skills and IQ. Easily 2 more rings, the new face of the Warriors, WAY MORE $$, and building his own core with Kuminga, Moody and GP2. Curry was always coaching Poole from the sidelines. As a Warriors fan I was upset that he was not taking that once in a lifetime opportunity, then I realized that maybe J.P. has everything he wanted entering the league.

What I'm noticing with Golden State this year is that they should've traded both Dray and Klay last year and start the rebuilding process and trade steph this coming off-season. Few remember how bad the post Jordan Bulls were the following seasons after his retirement in 98. Considering that they haven't traded the aging stars and aren't in title contention with that core, I see the fallout being worse than Chicago's with a playoff drought to match their own, maybe the kings streak.

yeah, but we all kinda know the other reason why the dubs had to trade jordan poole - the new CBA. Which means that they can't afford poole's very expensive contract. It was clear that they were pinning hopes on this young star, perhaps, even overestimating his worth, by handing him tons of money to sign an extension with the team. CP3's expiring contract over poole's was more of a financial decision (& a very good one at that). There's always a problem with young stars getting rings way too early in their careers. Think Kyrie Irving. But poole is no kyrie..

Tbh, he played a season without Steph, he had the green light and he lit it mf up, and was one of the main reasons they one a title. Tbh being overly confident in sports, typically a thing. Poole will be fine, he proved he can score. The dude is 6’3” maybe a lil taller averaging 17… 24 years old, confident. What more do people want from the kid?

What more could people want from the kid? For him to be a good teammate. The thing about the NBA is you don't hear most of the negative stories in the locker room until they're a genuine problem. JP IS confident which is great, but he's also a shit talker even to his own teammates. Even now on the Wizards he's becoming a net negative in the locker room and it's showing on the court. It's to the point where you got guys who are plugged in like Kevin Garnett speaking on his poor attitude and arrogance in how he treats his teammates.
Steph was also always confident in himself, but no teammate ever wanted to punch him in the face... That's because he always treats everyone around him with the utmost respect. Poole will either learn that, or this will be his last contract.

@@Kotepitia you know what when it rains it pours. Idc if he’s the devil.. I played college sports, and athletes are asshole, cocky and you name it. People are taking videos the cropping them around to make it seem like he’s a virus. Poole doesn’t play for the dubs, so why the hell does it matter what he’s doing??? Once they hate you you never get it back, but that’s bullshit. He went to the other side of the country and warrior fans can’t stand it.. tbh his complaint are legit, you klay is better then Poole? You think green is better then Poole? Tbh he was the second best scoring for the worriers, definitely needs to work on consistency scoring 30 one night then 12 the next, back to the point here.. he’s a young kid, learning the league, won a championship riding on Steph and Poole.. you get a bad rep on a team, then everything is on his every little move that he does.. leave the kid alone, he kept his mouth shut after he left the dubs, then green brought it back to life.. leave the kid alone, you’ll regret it I promise you

@@jakedefenbaugh603 Leave the kid alone or you promise I'll regret it? Okay buddy. You asked a question, I answered it. You're the one getting emotional about Jordan Poole.
I referenced Steph on the Warriors because you couldn't ask for a better role model as a young player learning how to win. I thought JP would be the next coming of James Harden when he left OKC and became an AllStar and went on to have one of the most remarkable 3 year regular season stretches in NBA history on the Rockets.
But that didn't happen. Just look at the facts of Jordan Poole's performance in Washington. His efficiency has been awful, his shot selection is even worse, he's a serious liability on defense and doesn't rebound. You could argue that is just youth and players need time to adjust to a new environment etc. BUT. On top of all that poor performance, he's been spotted on nationally televised games disrespecting his coaches and his teammates during timeouts. But if you want to convince yourself there's nothing wrong with his behavior, and none of this is his fault, that's perfectly fine.
At the end of the day, he's making $30M a year for the next 3 years so he has that amount of time to figure it out. Hopefully he can do that. There's no way his performance comes close to what he's being paid.
To finish off my point, look at a team like OKC. They are in desperate need of a true 5 to defend players like Jokic, Embiid and Anthony Davis. At the same time, Dwight Howard is playing in China. DeMarcus Cousins is at home. Why is that? Skill? Definitely not. It's attitude and what kind of teammate they are. On the flip side, how are guys like DeAndre Jordan and PJ Tucker still on an NBA roster? It certainly isn't the production. It's because they are phenomenal teammates and locker room leaders on whatever team they're on.

I actually disliked JP from the beginning. I thought he was too rushed in his decisions and wasn't playing the system which caused problems with the whole unit of guys he played with. Then worst of all is when he started to get hot and didn't realize it was because the stars returned and pulled the gravity away from him to give him space. I was ready to eat my words when he helped us to win it all but then the punch happened and I saw that I was right all along. Good riddance to him, I'm so pleased that he's the laughing stock of the NBA on a terrible team in the east right now. The only thing that could be better is if he was sent to a city with very few baddies to ease his pain

If the Warriors can navigate Draymond self sabotaging the team all these years, they could have kept him and worked with him. After all he is a young guy. Poole is a hard worker. Steph even said “Nothing about JP’s attitude warranted what happened to him by Draymond.” They could’ve just coached the Poole like they are paid to do. They’ve done it for Draymond time and time again. However, they simply chose to coddled the vet-baby Draymond and trade the second best scorer on their team and barely got anything for him. Watch Chris Paul fizzle out in the playoffs-if they even make it.

That would require effort on the part of JP. There was no effort to be part of the team. While JP has a higher ceiling than Green, he has to be willing to listen to the coaches.
