Excellent content and analysis. And your video goes even further into proving why Curry is considered the Baby-Faced Assassin. Not only is he deadly on the floor, but he is able to mask much of his achievements while the majority of fans and sports analysts flounder when comparing him to past greats. Also, the reason why these sports analysts look shocked when someone brings up Stephen Curry's actually numbers, is because they STILL argue that he is ... too small.
Personally, I already consider Steph one of the greatest (my top 3) to ever play the game. My one single argument lies in the fact that he is the ONLY player in basketball history who is scarier *without* the ball than with it. Who else in history has ever carried this distinction?

You know nobody ever mentions John Stockton as one of the Greatest Point Guards. It is truly unfortunate that he had to play in the same Era as Michael Jordan. Jordan prevented alot of Great players to never have won a Championship. But John Stockton was the last true pure Point Guard to play in the NBA and he played during an Era where players played all 82 games in a season and did it many times. But he holds probably some of the all time records that will never ever be broken. Assists and Steal he is so far ahead of NBA greats that have played 19 plus years by literally thousands. I'm not saying that Mr. Stockton IS the Greatest Point Guard to ever play in the League but it shocks me that I have seen so many of these videos and his name and his accomplishments at that position have never been mentioned.

I never had the pleasure of seeing Magic in person. But I do have every documentary made about the 80's Laker championships, they are incredible. And Magic is one of one as far as passing ability with that size. But as a basketball historian I have seen the game change a lot even over just the last decade. And that change was brought by the same man who dominated the league while doing it. That was Steph. When you make a mold of your own, you come from an improved generation of talent, and you dominate with championships and individual accolades, I'm sorry... You go straight to the top five players of all-time immediately. Being the greatest player goes beyond being the most celebrated. That goes for being the greatest PG as well. Nostalgic bias and celebration in Magic's favor don't make him the greater PG. It makes him the greatest for his time. But Steph is playing against more skilled, more athletic and talented players and yet he still stays at the top of the league as an individual. If he wins another championship he becomes the 3rd greatest player behind MJ and Kobe and surpasses Lebron. If he wins a 6th... he becomes 1 a) to Michael Jordan.

The comparison between Seth and other potential GOAT guards should be aimed at MJ, not Magic. Magic, as great as his individual skills were, elevated the game by elevating the games of the players on the floor with him. MJ demanded the ball all the time, Magic wanted to put it in the hands of the player with the best shooting opportunity. Where does Seth land in that comparison? I too think that Seth may be the ultimate GOAT if his career runs long enough at his position. But you still need to look at what Jokic is doing as one of Seth's contemporaries. All great players but with radically different approaches to the game.

Steph’s greatness in todays nba is undeniable. What IS deniable is that he is actually a point guard. A guard that shoots as much as Steph does, scores as many points as he does, and virtually NEVER gets double digit assists is, pretty much by definition, a shooting guard. Doesn’t take anything away from his greatness, it just invalidates any meaningful comparison to magic or other real point guards.

Brilliant elaboration on the facts. In my opinion Nobody will ever be better then magic at the 1. Cause nobody played like him. I wasn’t alive when he played either, but I’d always read/watch anything about
The Lakers. The closest to resemble his game is white chocolate. In terms of play making ability/ controlling the game/ and making your teammates better by getting them involved. Fc there are lots of not just PG’s but ballers that do this in there own way. But with that type of globetrotteresque flair.

Oh, boy. I basically started watching basketball again because of him 10 or 11 years ago. So I root for him and for the Dubs.
But this is not just about individual talent. What are the decisions he is making off court? What is the team he is helping to build? He can't win alone, no matter how good he is. At one point, he will be held accountable for those decisions.
Now I root he starts making better decisions off court fast. Does he want to win or not? This is not about stats.

I'm a huge Steph fan, but this is a bit much. Hell 9:30 if Steph's teammates aren't making shots then they double and triple team him. He may still score, but they usually lose that game. Also Steph has only surpassed 400 3's once. Suggesting he will do it every year for the rest of his career is not only unreasonable, it's just silly.

I would say, each one is a GOAT of their own time and style. Lebron is great as an all rounder. Steph is undeniable the best 3-pointer and great defense point guard of today… MJ was the prime of his time, Kobe is the most hardworking player who went beyond what he was born with… Johnson, Shaq, all are the one and only one of them then… one may compare, but there really isn’t a one to one comparison possible… even if you put Curry and Lebron one to one, they are good at different skills and have different bodily criteria… Lebron is huge, fast, and powerful… Steph is a sharp shooter, smaller isn’t size but he could compensate with his amazing skills… to me, it’s just not the same category…

Steph is solidly in my Top 10 of Greatest of All Time! Yes it’s Subjective as the poster mentioned, but the only thing that gets in the way is he will never win Defensive Player of the Year, so he can only, in my opinion, knock on the top 5! I know most focus on offensive stats and skills, but I believe you have to have more then offense to be the G.O.A.T
