A lot of people are taking him for granted because he almost been too good too early. He’s 25 he still has a lot of things to accomplish, I think he can get a ring with Dallas this year.
Also, the kind of basketball he plays will most likely make him have a longer prime than most (assuming no significant injuries), as his main traits -- basketball IQ, defense reading, court vision, passing, clutch shooting etc. -- are more mental than physical in nature (as opposed to speed, explosion, quickness, jumping etc.), so not only they will take longer to decline, but some of them might even increase with time and experience in the league. His career is one of a kind -- guy is elite since 13, a pro since 16, accomplished in Europe since 18 and a record-breaking machine in the NBA since 19, now at 25 and might not even have entered his prime, which could easily last up to 35ish and beyond. Not sure he'll play in the NBA for that long, tho; but he could end up with some insane numbers even without playing 21+ years like Kareem or LeBron.

Then I looked for Real Madrid and saw that they had a "prodigy" and that was Luka. Since then, I've followed him in every season in the Euro League while following the NBA. When I saw that Dallas had chosen him, I looked at how similar the stories of both teams are in basketball and I realized at that moment that if Luka did all that in the Euro, he would certainly repeat it all in the NBA. What he needed was time and focus. Since then, I've been a die-hard Mavericks fan and I follow this fantastic player that is Luka.
Never forget when casuals called him a "euro bust" when he was getting drafted. Anyone calling anyone a "bust" before they even play their first game just doesn't know how basketball works
I do not like the NBA at all, but I wish him all the best. He's got great parents, and had great support growing up. Seems to be the perfect teammate as well.
I always knew Luka was going to be in a finals. I just didn't think it would be that quick. Thankfully he has a good team around him an Kyrie to take the heat off him so that he doesn't have to do everything to win.
Luka just needed a good teammate in order to do great things. He had Jalen Brunson but Jalen became good during the 2021-22 season when him and Luka reached the Western Conference finals and then they traded him to the Knicks where he started playing his best basketball. Jalen wasn't great before the 2021-22 season. Kyrie has been a great help. Good thing they managed to get him.
His early days when he's a kid that's how any talented kid should be treated, not letting them dominate on the little league but put him higher to make them develop even faster
I grew up in basketball. My mother played for the American Redheads. All I ever heard about was Pistol Pete. Being born in 1979, I never saw him play, but I studied him in everything. Doncic is the reincarnation of Pistol Pete. He only needs to improve his defense and he will be the greatest Guard to ever play the game.
I watched MJ every year he played. There will never be another like him. I will watch Luka as long as he plays if I live that long. He is the best and he appreciates Option 1A more than anyone else and the other teammates he gets the very best out of. The first team I ever followed was Boston but as good as they are Dallas is the best. I can’t wait for this year’s series.
Real Madrid is not invested in basketball? Dude. Real is *the* club in whatever sport. Much like in football they have records in domestic league and Euroleague.
Bruh, he's 5'11" at 13? That's way taller than me post-growth. Also, I never thought about his elite deceleration. Makes all those ankle breakers make a lot of sense now.
That game winner by Doncic in the 2nd game of Twolves showed his resolve and fighting spirit to make this the year the Mavs go all the way. As a TWolves fan Ant and Kat have to find a similar fighting spirit if they hope to have a chance of defeating such a lethal backcourt in Luka and Kyrie

The Dynamic Duo. Reggie Miller says Luka and Kyrie are best backcourt scoring duo in the HISTORY of the NBA
Back to classic nonstop thank god
I grew up in basketball. My mother played for the American Redheads. All I ever heard about was Pistol Pete. Being born in 1979, I never saw him play, but I studied him in everything. Doncic is the reincarnation of Pistol Pete. He only needs to improve his defense and he will be the greatest Guard to ever play the game.
This MF cold 🥶
this dude been dropping 50 point triple doubles since he was 13
People still sleeping but Luka is already one of the greatest player to grace the basketball court.
That's a stretch but I love your energy!!!
People should talk about him like they talk about penny hardaway
Facts 🎯
I watched MJ every year he played. There will never be another like him.
I will watch Luka as long as he plays if I live that long. He is the best and he appreciates Option 1A more than anyone else and the other teammates he gets the very best out of. The first team I ever followed was Boston but as good as they are Dallas is the best. I can’t wait for this year’s series.
I hope Luka wins a ring this year. It's gonna be effing tough vs. the Wolves and potentially, the Celtics.
Luka NBA CHAMPION 2024
Here after he hit a game winner game 2 against the Wolves
Awesome video man, really next level
Real Madrid is not invested in basketball?
Dude. Real is *the* club in whatever sport. Much like in football they have records in domestic league and Euroleague.
yankees being yankees and ignorants...
LUKA WILL WIN THE FINALS. HE DESERVES HIS FIRST AND KYRIE DESERVES ANOTHER
Bruh, he's 5'11" at 13?
That's way taller than me post-growth.
Also, I never thought about his elite deceleration. Makes all those ankle breakers make a lot of sense now.
Well, I was 6'1" at 14 and only grew 2 inches after that.
Never have I seen a player whose games always makes me speechless. So brilliant! I do thunk we're watching someone specially note in history later!
His "game winning crossover stepback 3" has been in his bag since he was 17?!
It’s great how those videos of him as a kid playing are available to see.
This guy is a killer. Absolutely slaying my t wolves
I was able to watch their EuroBasket championship in 2017 with Dragic coming up clutch. It was clear Luka was going to be special.
He's so handsome too!
Gay
Do u have something against gays?@@spicypretzel7616
Celtics-Mavs. Rooting for great play from both sides. 6 games razor close. A Mavs blowout in Game 7 on the Parque floor.
He'll win his first chip this season
luka finally getting the credit he deserves man European MVP
The fact that he is also Top 500 in Overwatch is impressive.
Damn I know he plays, but I didn’t know he was that good
That game winner by Doncic in the 2nd game of Twolves showed his resolve and fighting spirit to make this the year the Mavs go all the way. As a TWolves fan Ant and Kat have to find a similar fighting spirit if they hope to have a chance of defeating such a lethal backcourt in Luka and Kyrie
I have seen all this unfold and then watched the NBA draft... How do you fuck up so bad? It was all so clear, a 16 year old dominating grown men.
