I've heard of Hurricane and DDP being cut but this is the first I've heard of Chyna. Idk if we have gotten a beta of this game yet or not but I'd love to see it!

@@beanomac3126 Hahaha!! I just preferred the more realistic gameplay of No Mercy....it's why I don't like WWE 2K24 that much,with all the no selling (even from jobbers), instant recoveries after finishers and silly gimmicks like black outs, fireballs etc etc. Smackdown was good fun at times but gameplay just felt frustrating too me as well.

Have fun! It was certainly a good time exploring everything! The July build is a playable version of the beta, where's the August build is all glitched out and unplayable. So keep that in mind for if you want to do matches.

Yeah, it lame. But if any themes were to be cut, I think they made the right choice.

Yeah I love both those titles as well. They had an arcade feel to them that I loved. And despite what people say, I believe that effort and some love was put into those games as well. Very charming. Plus I think people exaggerate the move commands difficultly.

Maybe in the sequel. I think we're getting one right?

@@beanomac3126 I think it's likely but it better be ready when they announce it or the fan base will be quite upset. I for one enjoyed the once in a lifetime look into the making of a wrestling game but not many others were as patient.

Yeah I think they were overwhelmed at first and promised a lot. Omega made it seem like it was gonna be the greatest wrestling game of all time and when something has so much hype, it's hard to live up to it. I think it's for the best if they wait to announce the sequel when they're ready and on schedule.

@@beanomac3126 Yea it was a first effort they definitely have some kinks. I paid close attention to all the news and I think Omega properly tempered expectations. Early he said they weren't able to compete with 2K and that the CAW would be barebones and most importantly they were focusing on gameplay, where I feel they delivered. Personally I wasn't expecting Shenmue 3- which easily could have been the case but I also wasn't expecting No Mercy 2 quite yet. What they delivered was more on the WCW vs. nWo World Tour and WWE Wrestlemania X8 zone. While not perfect I think they laid out a solid foundation. Tony Khan said recently that they learned a lot from the process now it's time to show it. Have you seen the trailer for Yuke's Double Dragon Revive? They're working with the publisher Arc Systems Work. Yuke's also has a mobile game with WB Games. Since AEW Games owns the Fight Forever engine I think there's potential to work with other publishers and developers like Arc or WB if Yuke's is too busy, not up to the task or if AEW wants to move on.

Yeah the future is very promising for AEW games. As long as it focuses on fun and being an alternative, they will do well.

@beanomac3126 Fair enough. All aki music is amazing my personal favorite aki music is Wrestlemania 2000 & wcw nwo revenge they just hit hard love it and there more rock music then World tour & No Mercy

@@evilredflame can't think of what match it would be, but when I wanna get through No Mercy handicap matches quickly, I set weights to super heavyweight for easier matches.

I know how to pronounce them but you are right. 😂 I'm not used to voice overs yet and have a lot to improve on in that department in particular. Plus my tone of voice. But thank you for sharing the valid criticism and not being a jerk.

@beanomac3126 the Smackdown games got good when Shut your mouth & Here Comes The Pain came out on ps2 literally the best Smackdown games ever

@@Thebigcmaverick yeah the loading was horrendous. I recently played the royal rumble in the first SD game and it's night and day. Smackdown! 2's an underappreciated gem in my opinion.

It's definitely chaotic. I think SD2 is the fastest in the series too. It's a out thinking on your feet and planning your next moves but it gets hectic quick.

That's how I always thought of Smackdown! 1. It was released in March of 2000. So yeah about 8 months.

That’s why I skipped Smackdown 2 for almost a year as I preordered the first game and was really disappointed so I got No Mercy instead.

@jonbourgoin182 Smackdown 1 atleast had better loading times in the career mode. Smackdown 2's career mode was horrible because of the horrible loading times when you skip matches it was pretty bad you spend more time on the vs menu waiting to skip matches then actually playing the career mode itself no idea what they were thinking that alone no mercy and even wm 2000 smashes smackdown 2

I can't remember, but I think someone came out with a mod that removed the battle meters at least. Only took 20+ years. 😂

@beanomac3126 About time but it was so stupid to begin with no idea how they thought that was okay even for back then in 2000 😂 that's why smackdown 1 was better then 2 if we're just comparing the 2 smackdown games only. Also SD 1 had the ministry of darkness undertaker which is a big advantage in my opinion. I had an n64 as a kid that generation so I was playing all the aki wrestling games back then so me personally I didn't suffer from that lol. When I got a ps2 in 2001 I was blown away with Just Bring it when it first came out though
