- Hey everyone, Bean O Mac here with a spontaneous video extra. The beta for WWF No Mercy has recently been released to the public with 3 builds! Here is the first official build that was playable at E3 2000 in June! None of the modes but exhibition actually work. Here is a preview of it as well as the links to the same downloads I got. I plan on doing a deep dive into everything they have to offer this Sunday? On AKI Sunday! Hope you all enjoy!

Actually I was the one who uploaded the ROMs, BoboMcloud and Baker64 were the ones who dumped the ROMs, I tried to explain earlier but RUclips wouldn't send the replies I was trying to send.

I'm doing a deep dive this Sunday into this demo build, and then the August beta build that includes the Big Show! The betas are available to download in a link inside the description of you wanna check these out yourself though.
6:02 Interesting, The wrestler’s music was normal pitched and in a different HZ quality compared to the finished one where it’s pitched +0.2 in which I kinda love to this very day. Heck, I want all the wrestlers music to be pitched +0.2 for my video game idea “Federated Past”.

@@beanomac3126 I'm glad you asked. "Federated Pasta" is a historical concept of WWE in which it was called the World Wrestling Federation back in the day! I've been inspired by Adult Swim's Checkered Past block.

It's always interesting to see how something comes together and progress. It's interesting to see how the face textures evolved over time. It looks like Kurt Angle's face here was maintained in the final build for his entrance as, if you notice, Kurt Angle's face changes to a smiling one during his entrance way taunt.
I've often wondered if the reason entrances were cut short was because the final few builds had a clipping issue that they could not resolve while maintaining the final build? Look closely on any romhack or cheat that enables it and the wrestlers clip through the sides of the ring. Though actually entering it is fine.
@@travismarshall3089 I think one of the producers said that they ran out of space. Others said they couldn't get them to work. I just find it difficult to believe that they couldn't figure out how to do entrances when they had been able to do it flawlessly for 3 games straight. But I agree. I love this kind of stuff! So fascinating. I hope we get the builds for other games as well.
Wrestlemania 2000.5. Kinda reminds me of the Alpha Age of Kings version that was like Age of Empires 1.5

I just played all three pretty interesting to see the evolution of no mercy. The most interesting being the inclusion of Big Show & Lilian Garcia as well as the complete entrances kind of makes you wonder if someone has the skills and talent to create a No Mercy Definitive Edition like the Freem version of VPW2. Id definitely put money down in support of that project.

@@beanomac3126 Actually no does it use external files or is it its own dedicated rom like VPW2 Freem edition?
@@Jay_Digital I'm surprised. 😯 Yeah all jokes aside though it's a rom hack that I believe can be played on real hardware. It's essentially No Mercy with all the stuff we missed out on. Plus more things to come. For example all full entrances, Big Show takes his rightful spot on the roster and story mode, CAWs can have in ring taunts, themes for cut wrestlers and teams are added including Dean Malenko's proper theme at the time. The Rock has the Sharpshooter and Kurt Angle has the Ankle Lock. Titan trons for the cut wrestlers such as the Headbangers, Mean Street Posse, Dude Love, and Gangrel, the Gameboy championship storyline is free to play at any time, and maybe even more that I might be forgetting. It's still on development but the current version is 2.1 with all the above mentioned stuff. The only thing I know the creator, RetroRandyPrice is adding to version 3 are upgraded Titan trons. @@beanomac3126 Nice, appreciate the info. I’ll take a look at it now. I didn’t grow up with No Mercy I was more into the WCW and VPW ones so I wasn’t aware of this particular mod I knew about the ECW one and the Legends one and every one knows about Feel the Bang but I didn’t particularly like those mods they were cool but they always felt unstable and I didn’t want to deal with it crashing or something so I do prefer mods like Freem that are its own dedicated rom.
@@Jay_Digital yeah we're actually in a golden era of rom hacks. If you haven't check out Pro Wrestling salvo for revenge, WrestleMania X (new generation mod) for WrestleMania 2000, WCW Saturday Night (early 90s WCW mod) for WrestleMania 2000 as well. All playable on actual hardware. And thank you for your time!
12:12 i like that Rock Spinebuster, they should have kept that version in the game also. I guess they didn't have enough room on the cartridge
I think my only complaint about WWF No Mercy is that they didn't keep the full ring intros like they had on WrestleMania 2000. But I guess that's more of a preference on my part. Also The Undertaker's music.
Yeah we should have at least gotten the classic version of Undertaker's theme so we had something. But I agree with both of your points.
They didn’t have enough memory to do the full ring intros for everyone so they had to be cut down.

Yeah they did a really great job honestly. I was expecting a glitch filled mess. I seen Wrestlingvideogamesecrets did a dive into it years ago but to see these actually exist is amazing! Plus things we never knew about I'm so excited as well! It's a great time to be an AKI fan!

I was thinking the same thing when I pulled out that ladder. Would've been crazy if they had that match in the demo
11:20 before they created the Groin Knee Drop
I could be wrong but I thought they had that in WrestleMania 2000

You finally let the entrance themes play! Did you really get a copyright claim before for that even though the songs are compressed to hell and hardly represent good enough quality to be flagged by RUclips's AI?
Yeah unless if I get a block or takedown I'm gonna let entrances play in my videos now since I don't intend to be monetized. But also this is history so I think it's important to showcase everything. @@CurlyHeadTrev1477 there are some cool ones. WrestleMania X is a new generation era mod that came out recently. And the same creator did a mod for early 90s WCW with the mod WCW Saturday Night. But other than that I do agree that Mania 2000 has mostly been shafted when it comes to modding. Id like a ruthless aggression mod.
Tazz Is in the final game?
Yeah, he was always in No Mercy though. I think AKI were as hyped as MSG when he debuted.

Links to the three builds are in the description. You only need a build to play it. Not sure what the extras are. July and August have crashes for certain things but the June E3 demo is solid.
How did you got the beta version
This demo and two more were released on the internet archive I think a few days ago. I don't from who but, the links are in the description if you want to see them yourself.

@@lcfcfan1655 yeah, you should be able to. They should work like any other N64 game for your PC emulator.

@@bobbythompson8787 yeah I'm gonna show what I can but I have no idea about coding or digging into files. But that said there are so many unique things you can find just by playing it that we didn't get unfortunately.

@@videogamedimensions4506 i didn't find it. It was posted to Reddit with the link. When it comes to beta stuff like this, it all depends on if an early usually one of a kind build is still out there in the wild, and if someone who has an early build is able to upload it to the internet on order to archive it. There are videos of beta No Mercy that have been on the internet for over ten years. But until a few days ago, no one shared it. Sadly I'm sure there are video game collectors out there who have early builds of games that are unwilling to share or risk it being stolen but thats essentially how lost media works. You can check out wrestlinggamessecrets for more beta Aki releases like Mania 2000 and Revenge in their beta state that seem like they have been unreleased as well.
