The maple treeway glitch wasnt found on the Wii until almost a year after MK7 was released. Koopa Cape has s respawn shortcut found like day 1, besides the one shown in the vid. The MKW ultra on KC was also discovered after MK7 came out.

I remember I was super into smo speed running a couple years back, and the minute barrier was still 56. It’s crazy that just getting one minute faster takes so long. Kudos to everyone in the speedrunning community and how far it’s come!

It's been about 3 years since I was last active in the SMO community. I remember being extremely active back when 2DSS was first discovered, and I genuinely thought we'd found everything the game had to offer. I never expected those moon clips in Wooded to be humanly possible, let alone possible in 1 player. But damn, I was so wrong. I'm so so so proud of this community - its world record holders, the Discord server moderators, the leaderboard verifiers and moderators, all the glitch hunters, everyone. It's just amazing to see the way a community is able to just come together like this. What a time to be alive!

Sub 1hr is SMO isn't even in even in the top 100 greatest speed running achievements 😂😂😂
