I know right? The game represents its own code as a series of blocks, which you make Mario break to get to the ending. It doesn't get more literal than that.
It genuinely horrifies me for some reason. I don't know what about it, but like, imagine being in a simulation and falling into a pile of the code that makes up your very being. SICK.
The 4-2 wrong warp in Super Mario Bros. actually requires the player *not* to scroll the screen too far, but instead to force Mario toward the right of the screen; this is achieved by bumping, as it freezes the screen temporarily while allowing Mario to move further right.
I’ve completed Super Mario Land 2 (through the GameBoy app on Switch) before, and I already thought it was an amazing game without knowing of the insane speedrun strategies it has. I was in complete awe watching someone play the game’s mcfreaking *source code*, it sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie. Thank you for linking videos about some of the more complex shortcuts of these games, because I will definitely be looking further into that one. Also, slapping these two videos together was a great idea, it’s the perfect length this way (imo) (:

A fun fact about ATC (above the castle) in NSMB.Wii: it was also thought to be only possible through TAS, but it soon enough became possible for a human. Plus, in the speedrunning community it has the nickname of the "meal strat". I have no idea why it is called that, but im not questioning it

As someone who knows most of these runs already, this video (regardless of it being a complications of your others or not) is absolutely outstanding. The breakneck speed of your speech is refreshing for this type of content BUT isn’t fast enough to get lost due to your really well explained explanations. The editing style is also straight to the point yet really fun, your jokes also being really well done. I can see inspiration from many creators and that’s lead to a great video. You can tell you’ve had fun making this and I’m so excited to see you grow as a creator ❤

Six Golden Coins is my JAM!!! Thats the game (as well as tetris) that I got when I got my Gameboy, and at the time that's the only system I had for about a year or more.
Really cool video! I like informative videos about silly subjects. Also (this is just my bias) i feel like this video would work amazing with summoning salt music.
great video but please watch your volume levels, sometimes music is louder than your voice, music blasts at 31 mins, then quiet voice into loud voice etc. it should be easy to spot in video editing software. good video though 👍
All the Luigi’s Mansion games are just as busted. Dark Moon is a bit less broken being more linear due to missions but there are lots of clips and cutscene skips. All of the Mario Karts have all kinds of stuff to exploit. Even the Mario sports games have tech- mainly with AI manipulation and RNG manipulation. Out of all the Mario series and spin-offs, the Mario Party series is the least broken* (mostly because the RNG is notorious for unprecedented shenanigans and is absolutely not human viable). TASing the games however would yield different results.
The fact he thought that the cloud was only to get close! 🤣🤣🤣 They override the timers for different actions by using the cloud coordinates, using 5he same values! 🤣🤣🤣

This was a pretty well edited and put together video. I happen to know a lot about this subject and found your actual information a little lacking, but I love the work you put into this. Liking and commenting to try to get you some algorithmic engagement. You deserve it.
You should put more detail into your explanations. For example, in your SMW explanation you don't mention at all that the cloud's x value is shared with one of bowser's animation timers, which allows you to set it to 0 and skip certain phases instantly. It's hard to tell if you're skipping over these details or just don't know how the tricks work in the first place, but either way if you're trying to show how broken the games are you shouldn't skip over the broken details
pretty sure his only "research" for like half the games is just reading the description of the WR video lol, the NSMB games are especially lacking in this video

that mario land 2 speedrun is still wild to me. you literally have to go out of bounds and break the game's code to get to the credits fast
