There's no doubt in my mind that 3DS Rainbow Road will always be my favorite track of all time. Funny story: I found out that this track existed whenever I was playing Super Smash Bros. 3DS, and after examining this track, I became impressed of its cool usage of driving through Saturn's rings, the Moon, listening to its wholesome music, and getting ran over by the Shy Guys. I got so intrigued that I looked up what Mario Kart has this track and them I found out it came from Mario Kart 7. After getting this game back in 2018, I grew fondness with MK7 with its weird character roster, the tracks, Shy Guy, 3DS Rainbow Road, etc. And that's how I found 3DS Rainbow Road.

A marvelous demonstration of Rainbow Road from the Mario Kart ™ series and how it has not only evolved over time, but also what makes every single one so great, or PERFECT, as you put it. So happy to have been able to experience this wonderful video.

Fun fact: on GCN RR, occasionally the shooting stars will fall onto the track and become super stars you can use.

SNES Rainbow Road: The classic one, that was the perfect way to the first Rainbow Road category: the epic ones. This one is like a final challenge, or even a final boss, as it's the only unique theme in the game. Plus, it's the hardest track in the game hands down.
N64 Rainbow Road: The nostalgic one. It was an introduction to the second Rainbow Road catergory: the emotional ones. Because unlike SNES Rainbow Road, this track is very easy. It's the longest Mario Kart track ever, and it feels like a farewell to the game.
GBA Rainbow Road: The innovative one. It's more in the epic category, as it's really hard, and you can take the hardest shortcuts in Mario Kart with the jump ramps that replaces guardrails.
GCN Rainbow Road: The perfect mix between epic and emotional. This one is very beautiful, with items scenery, a big jump, peak music, but it's also one of the hardest Rainbow Roads.
Arcade GP Rainbow Road: The most unique one. It's the only Rainbow Road to have a sea part, and it's so good. Personally, it makes me wish to have some underwater sections in Rainbow Road. Maybe even break the night/space tradition we have we Rainbow Road for the next Mario Kart installement.
DS Rainbow Road: The most underrated one. The loop de loops are actually more unique than any MK8 antigravity section. The layout is also really challenging for the game with snaking.
Wii Rainbow Road: The epic one. It's also my favorite one. It's the hardest one with SNES Rainbow Road. The music and the "roller coaster" feeling of this track really makes this Rainbow Road feel like a true epic final boss. That's why I think it was a perfect ending to the BCP.
3DS Rainbow Road: The emotional one. It may be kinda easy, but it makes up for it with breathtaking scenery, unique layout through planets and even the fricking moon. It feels more like a farewell to MK7.
Wii U Rainbow Road: The simple but good one. After 3DS Rainbow Road, that track is way more simple. Howeve, it is still really hard. In 200cc, the first turn can be really challenging not to fall off due to a drift boost for example.
10:19 you have it here folks, saturn has been renamed to "a planet" and the moon is now considered to be a planet, I guess that means earth's a star. We all really shine!

GCN Rainbow Road will always be my favourite, but I like the approach of liking all of them equally.
I think in the next Mario Kart, they should put all the Rainbow Roads in one cup and call it the rainbow cup.

For some reason, I'd never actually seen 8 Deluxe rainbow road. I've watched plenty of mario kart content but I don't remember it looking that cool with giant space stations and everything.
The mario kart 8 rainbow road is the most underrated rainbow road, closely followed by DS
8 Rainbow Road is the only bad one imo, the manufactured space station theme ruined it

Ive never seen super circuits rainbow road before but its really cool and interesting that it has bowser+ peaches castle from paper mario in it
8 Rainbow Road blew me away when I first played through the original Mario Kart 8 on my Wii U, the music especially is one of my favorite songs ever in Mario Kart history.

No wonder Rainbow Road is a recurring track on this franchise, they always stand out at something and take immense advantage of their respective games’ mechanics, my favorite is probably 7’s version, but I think the 8 version is so underrated

What a great vídeo, but i'm here to leave a mention about the mario kart arcade gp games, i know they are not much comented but their rainbow road need to be talked, they are rainbow couster and rainbow downhill, they're spetacular, just imagine a fusion of gcn rainbow road with gba sky garden, and with the course sistem on these games we have a underwater astetic in the first game and in the second they made that courses with a type of moon temple in the night, i don't know how to explain it, i just wanted to make this little mention
If i ever have any kind of vehicle based gameplay in one of my games, I will make a part of the map called "gay highway" and basically rip off rainbow road

Every Rainbow Road is great (unless you the the OG N64 rainbow and MK8 Rainbow Road)
All Rainbow Roads are good, but imo, Wii Rainbow Road is the best one because of how difficult and fun it is to master the track, 200cc on Wii Rainbow Road would be MAD fun, and I don't really enjoy 200cc all that much tbh.
